I always found this scene intriguing because of the mess hall. That area in front of where they're standing is the Captain's private dining room. Neelix turned it into a galley. When Bashir walks away I'm busy looking behind him to see how it was supposed to be designed.
@josephandrade816 Hahahaha that would be pointless. There's enough room back there that I assume it would be a nice dining table, a single replicator, and decorations.
I was excited to see an Intrepid class starship on DS9, let alone the crew wearing the first contact era uniforms! All I ever wished was to have seen a live Andorian officer in a first contact uniform and a Sovereign class starship fighting the dominion 🙄🤦🏾♂️🤔🤨🖖🏾
Anyone else notice that in the classic SciFi movie 'Forbidden Planet', the 'Bellerophon' was the colony starship that founded the colony on Altair 4, and was later destroyed trying to leave with a skeleton crew, thus creating the situation that had United Planets Starship C57-D (basically a flying saucer) despatched there to investigate.
@@ziraprod6090 Mmm, not really. It was (very loosely) based on Shakespeare's 'The Tempest' apparently. Space Raiders was a fairly mediocre 1984 movie. Forbidden Planet was made in 1956.

You'd go mad after 24 hours of that droning.
I can people who just tuned in as the show came back from commercial being a bit confused about that establishing shot, thinking they were watching the wrong show
Huge continuity error showing the gathering in the "mess hall" which wasn't one until Voyager was in the Delta quadrant. It was Neelix's idea. Original configuration had this as the captain's private dining room.
I'd guess that area was always capable of opening in that way with the bar arrangement for events and that Neelix just opened it and installed all of his stoves, after all the bar and open wall look Starfleet to me and a little too nice to be something Neelix just made.
I always thought the area that was the captain’s mess was where Neelix set up the galley. The mess hall was always there, served by replicators, but Neelix knocked through a couple of walls and removed the door to create the open kitchen area instead of the closed-off captain’s mess. Of course, that still means the captain’s mess should still be there on the Bellerophon, but chances are no-one remembered that minor detail which would then you’d lose the “standing at the bar socialising” vibe of the scene.
Why should they? Its a waste of resources dumping all the old and replicating a new set. And it would not be realistic....sending some Firmware updates and "here is your new uniform, you need to change"
@@dazlovescarter What was the point of your comment then? Just pointing out that they reused the Voyager set and CGI shot for budget reasons? Well duh...

The DS9 crew must have had a great time shooting on Voyager's sets.
Those shows shared sets for years. It makes things easier to change around among other things.
That’s a good way to save money.
It's a good way to show continutity between sets.
I wonder if they ever did any pranks on each other. Like a Voyager set guy leaving a post-it note that reads "Voyager rules, DS9 drools"
Like so many other things DS9, the best version of Section 31.
You’re so right. They tuned things around DS9. They need to bring the production tech and money to this kind of writing and acting.
This is how section 31 should be written.
in the trash can they need a mirror universe series
I hope they do it right.
New show Will be awful. Thats not Star Trek
This is real star trek

William Sadler was great as Sloan.
DS9 had the absolute best guest stars - Louise Fletcher, Wallace Shawn, Jeffrey Combs, just really good characters and great actors

It’s suppose to be just a wall of replicators. And only access from the main deck

@@jookm lol right behind the wall of replicators I’m sure that’s what exactly was there.
I like how they used the space for several bottles of various drink. Very appropriate for the celebratory nature of the gathering.

its a shame voyager was never mentioned on the show.

LOVE Adrienne Barbeau.
THOUGHT She looked familiar.
She was great in creep show where she got eaten by the creature in the crate
she always was a smoke show.
0:54 - Wendel Greer, a lawyer fucked me
Shawshank Redemption reference. Nice.
I wonder what would happen if Voyager never traveled into the Delta Quadrant but instead, served as part of the Dominion War against the Federation.
A few dead redshirts.
Since the Intrepid class was the fastest starship in Starfleet until the Sovereign class, they would probably have flown scout and courier missions
could be anything the writers write
Janeway would of ripped them a new one
AGAINST the federation ?
Probably the same class. Intrepid class
It's just a redress of the Voyager set.
She was an Intrepid class.

Voyager's sister ship?
Yep
They played him like a fiddle
Thanks for sharing this clip, finally i know Admiral Ross Intrepid class starship
THe Bellerophon looks alot like Voyager.
Because they both belong to the same class of ships.
And it is the Voyager set
It is an Intrepid class ship, like Voyager.
That's because it is a lot like Voyager -- like basically a sister ship.
They are NOTHING alike. Do you even watch Star Trek?

These ships are large and have more than one. They also have flexible internal volume according to the Star Trek The Next Generation Technical Manual
