Great video! I turned 30 this year and I've been collecting NES games for 20 years or so. I have about 180 NES games. No duplicates! My NES also works the same being that the games don't need to be pushed down to work
I remember the Zelda NES game. It had a gold case unlike the typical gray. The neatest part was that it had a chip in it that allowed you to save your progress unlike the other NES games where you had to play the whole game in one sitting because you couldn't save.
Although the SNES is my favorite console of all time, I think the NES might have had the biggest impact on me and my love for video games. I had an Atari 2600 from 1983 to 1988/89, but the NES was a huge step in the evolution of video games. Super Mario Bros, the Legend of Zelda, Castlevania, Mega Man, etc. It was such a fantastic console, and it's too bad collectors have forced the over inflation of prices of retro games.

Isn’t it amazing that all the old stuff still works after 30+ years??? “Don’t make em like they used to” nothing like Nintendo 👊🏻 can’t wait for Epic Universe!
Beyond good.adam is doing great.he inspired me. To lose weight. But i was starving myself. I lost 20 lbs my 1st month. And i work out 2 hours a day. My mental health has been better . just from lifting weights. Very proud of adam.!!
If you haven’t already, your tv is stretching the image to fit the game, there may be a setting to change it to the original 4:3 aspect ratio. I also saw that Pixel’s has Archon, great classic game! It’s like chess but you actually battle to win your moves.
What a VERY cool shop. I suck at videogames, but I sooooooooooooo LOVE the old consoles. I've got an Atari VCS, Intellivision, NES, SEGA Master System, Genesis, and a hacked Wii! You so gotta get a hacked Wii!!! Also an NES Everdrive cart will allow you to play any game you want. I LOVE my stuff, but as I get a bit older I've been trying to downsize a bit. I also LOVE Thrift Store shopping so I've bought most of my stuff along with way too many old laptops there. Anyway, thanks for changing it up! So funny to re-connect with the systems/games that brought you joy as a kid. :)
Hey Adam, Get yourself a real CRT TV. Look for a SONY TRINITRON... The bigger the better!!! And yes, they are bloody heavy but worth the effort. Now you're playing with power, NINTENDO POWER!!!
It looks original to me, but I have my original Super Nintendo, and the plastic is aged and faded....proving age. I was born in the mid 70's, and I remember the actual day my family brought home the original Nintendo in 1987 from.... yes....K-Mart. My brothers and I stayed up all night playing Mario and Duck Hunt, watching each other play. Skate or Die was one of the hot games later when I was in middle school. We used to trade those grey game cartridges back and forth at school during lunch. As well as Garbage Pail Kids cards. And playing pencils. Anyone know what I'm talking about? 😉
That weird rubber band stretchy then stretch back effect on your screen has to do with a setting on the TV. Can't remember exactly which. Might be worth getting an old CRT TV so you can play Duck Hunt, heck...just play them all on it!
a CRT TV would also have a cleaner picture without the LCD upscaling/interpolation visual artifacts _and_ not have the 1-2 frames of input lag that LCD tvs have, CRT is 100% superior way to play these old consoles but i guess if Adam just wants to blow off steam and relive some gaming memories the LCD tv is "good enough"
That very last clip where you got so excited and showed the close up of Mario on the edge...I just had surgery 2 days ago, so it hurts to laugh and you caused me great pain. 😂
Absolutely should do more videos like this. Was so fun seeing you get excited playing Mario. Just put a huge smile on my face. This is probably one of my favorite videos of yours in a very long time. Just seeing and hearing that childhood enthusiasm and nostalgia coming out.

Yeah after I posted this I started thinking about his age and figured it must be because he grew up in the world of arcades...made alot of sense after looking at it that way
@@synical13 only thing is, he’s doing pretty good while holding it like that. He comes from arcade days.
we called this "claw-style" when we were kids. usually the hardcore gam3r guys would hold it like this and claim it had an advantage.
Isn’t it amazing that all the old stuff still works after 30+ years??? “Don’t make em like they used to” nothing like Nintendo 👊🏻 can’t wait for Epic Universe!
My Atari VCS still works. My original NES stopped in a couple of years, but then I did play it a lot more.
He bought a refurbished unit, trust me that most of them break at some point.
My husbands PS4 had the “light of death” they call it and better off buying a new one. Just like TVs and cars fragile as heck
Adam. You lost weight bro! Looking good. Keep it up.
Beyond good.adam is doing great.he inspired me. To lose weight. But i was starving myself. I lost 20 lbs my 1st month. And i work out 2 hours a day. My mental health has been better . just from lifting weights. Very proud of adam.!!
You just combined my two favorite things in one video.. atw and gaming. And I couldn't be happier!
Loved this vlog. Absolute nostalgia overload
We couldn’t afford Nintendo when I was a kid; we had the Sears Atari system instead
Although about 8-10 years after it came out, my brother purchased one
This should've been pinned
Oh sweet! The original Legend of Zelda and Punch Out were my jam back in the day. I remember Top Gun and Duck Hunt dog made see red, lol.
Punch Out was my favorite. Fighting Tyson was like a white knuckle ride, just waiting for that one punch to knock you out.
I love how i just watched the whole video and when you started playing i was like go go go you got this!
Hi Adam, may have to bring Big The Foot inside so he doesn’t miss you! I’m thinking you might be in there a while 😊👍
Hey Adam, Get yourself a real CRT TV. Look for a SONY TRINITRON... The bigger the better!!! And yes, they are bloody heavy but worth the effort.
Now you're playing with power, NINTENDO POWER!!!
I do...:-)
Me too
I had a Sony Trinitron
@@Vegasguy79 lol what. I have 3 of them in my games room.
@@Vegasguy79 yeah in the past 15 years houses magically got just small enough to not be able to incorporate an extra 4 feet of space
Didn’t Nintendo start out with a card game 100 years ago?
Yes
The quality of those cartridges in that guy's store was astounding. I'm a collector, and it's hard to see quality that good and clean.
"We are Nintendo. You cannot beat us."
"You're Running out of Cool Whip!"
@@MrParkerman6 "You're running out of Bloo Wigs!"
Those people were awesome. Now, our friend, Adam, can enjoy. After all, this is National HAPPINESS HAPPENS Day.🤠🌈
That weird rubber band stretchy then stretch back effect on your screen has to do with a setting on the TV. Can't remember exactly which. Might be worth getting an old CRT TV so you can play Duck Hunt, heck...just play them all on it!
It has to do with the aspect ratio and can easily be changed.
Should be a 4:3 setting in the menu. That stretch is horrible, I still can’t believe any tv ever used that method of filling a screen.
a CRT TV would also have a cleaner picture without the LCD upscaling/interpolation visual artifacts _and_ not have the 1-2 frames of input lag that LCD tvs have, CRT is 100% superior way to play these old consoles but i guess if Adam just wants to blow off steam and relive some gaming memories the LCD tv is "good enough"
You the man ! Glad to see you enjoying it. Im 58, soon 59, i have ps1-2-3-4, psvr, psp, and sega saturn. Clean fun !
That very last clip where you got so excited and showed the close up of Mario on the edge...I just had surgery 2 days ago, so it hurts to laugh and you caused me great pain. 😂
18:10 That's why they call him Adam the Woo.
My NES was lost to time years ago but I still have my SNES.
Adam Nintendo is from the like 1800's they started as a card game company. The company did NOT start in 1983.
I love this throwback. Keep Having fun with it!
I would love to see you beat Super Mario Bros. That would be an awesome video!
The company did not start in 1983. Nintendo is like 125 years old just FYI.
@@Vegasguy79 we know that, but thank you.
@@klmeyer9907 So smart.
i hate when people talk in that pattern...such as often in a store....
Absolutely should do more videos like this. Was so fun seeing you get excited playing Mario. Just put a huge smile on my face. This is probably one of my favorite videos of yours in a very long time. Just seeing and hearing that childhood enthusiasm and nostalgia coming out.
If I was in Ontario (which I am, but Canada) this is a store I would visit and love. Amazingly friendly customer service and a true joy to watch. :) Thank you!
Thanks for the nostalgia trip. I still have my Super Nintendo in the garage.
