I needed to de - stress in the hospital so I went on Pinterest and found your video! You made me believe that I could do this junk journal stuff! It included everything I love and you were such an encouraging and wonderful teacher. God knew that I needed this craft in my life, and you to take me on the journey that would get me through many a tough day ahead. Honestly, I can't picture what my life would be like without this outlet. No matter how I feel, there is generally something I can do that's journal related, whether it's just watching a video, fussy cutting, organizing lace 😊, or actually creating something. I remember you sitting at the little table looking through your scraps that used to be in a little box from zip loc bags! Things have changed a lot for both of us, but I am ever grateful for you Gayle! You have been a life changer for me. I know you are busy so you don't need to respond 😊 I am so glad you are able to see your family again. You had a long dry season without them so I am happy to hear that you may not have videos every day! Late watching this today as we were celebrating family birthdays From April 26 to May 2 we have 3 birthdays between my daughter and 2 grandkids, so we do one big bash! I am a card-maker and have a ton of scraps and embellishments - as well as a pile of Amazon boxes that reaches the ceiling! - so am not short of materials. Good Afternoon Gayle! Beautiful collaged cover. I made 5 collaged master boards in the past two days, so relaxing. After I finish the collage board, I go back and ink the torn edges with a small inking brush. Stamping on the handmade paper would be nice. Enjoy your time with your family too. 👍🌼🌼🌼

I have serious packaging envy. You get better boxes than I do. When I got my handmade watercolor paper, it didn't come in anything remotely like that. Oh well, I don't need as many journal covers as you do, so I am very glad you got it. Love the 4 x 6 pieces. I never saw those before. Have a wonderful time with your family, and don't worry about missing a few postings. Absence only makes the heart grow fonder. Besides, I often rewatch your videos anyway just to refresh my memory.

Love this, just got one of these book shipping boxes and must make me one of these. I have recently started using this to sleep: Relaxium Natural Sleep Aid | Non-Habit Forming | Sleep Supplement for Longer Sleep & Stress Relief w/Magnesium, Melatonin, GABA, Chamomile, & Valerian. I get it from Amazon and now have it on autoship. I used to be awake until all hours or wake in the middle of the night for 2-3 hours. No more, now I sleep through the night (except for the mandatory potty visit). I fall asleep within about 15 minutes. No groggy hangover either. Give it a try.
I love this cover! I am also a quilter. As far as making a dent in our scraps, do we ever? The more we use, they seem to multiply. Kind of like my gray hair- pull one strain out and three grow back. LOL

Gayle , as usual I love everything you do ! I do have a request … can you make another Little Golden Book journal .keeping the entire cover ? I was in the process of making one just to discover that my 8 1/2 x 11 pages are too short if you keep the entire cover without cutting it at the fold., and I am stuck and do not know The best way to correct this problem. The only thing that comes to mind is to add fabric or lace to every page to extend it and that is really not the best idea. I have a stack of five or six covers already done 🙃 thanks Gayle ❤️
Hi Chris! I always cut my LGB covers at the spine and create a new spine of 1 1/2 to 2 inches, so I don’t know that I’m much help. Lace or ruffles are a solution as you said or perhaps flip outs that extend past the original pages? Or how about side pockets that go the length of the page and again extend past the original pages? Hope this helps a little! ❤️
Hi Gayle! Your journal covers are always amazing. How do you keep them soft looking? Mine seem so stiff. Yes, I do use a lot of mod-podge...but the real reason I wanted to get in touch was that I cannot find in your playlist, or just scrolling through all of your videos the masculine journal you made. Not the hockey one. I am trying to make a journal for my son, and I can probably come up with my own stuff, but I remember being impressed with the one you put together. Or was it just ephemera? I was in the process of making one just to discover that my 8 1/2 x 11 pages are too short if you keep the entire cover without cutting it at the fold., and I am stuck and do not know The best way to correct this problem. The only thing that comes to mind is to add fabric or lace to every page to extend it and that is really not the best idea. I have a stack of five or six covers already done 🙃 thanks Gayle ❤️
Hi Chris! I always cut my LGB covers at the spine and create a new spine of 1 1/2 to 2 inches, so I don’t know that I’m much help. Lace or ruffles are a solution as you said or perhaps flip outs that extend past the original pages? Or how about side pockets that go the length of the page and again extend past the original pages? Hi Gayle! Your journal covers are always amazing. How do you keep them soft looking? Mine seem so stiff. Yes, I do use a lot of mod-podge...but the real reason I wanted to get in touch was that I cannot find in your playlist, or just scrolling through all of your videos the masculine journal you made. Not the hockey one. I am trying to make a journal for my son, and I can probably come up with my own stuff, but I remember being impressed with the one you put together. Or was it just ephemera? The cover is turning out great. You're always talking about movies on Netflix, have you watched the series Call the Midwife? I'm watching it now. It is so good. I think you would really enjoy it. It is a long series. It is based on the memories of a real person, I believe.
