    Subscribed man all those solar panels make me really want my own solar farm to power everything asap! I currently have a modest 2k solar system w/15Kwh of Nissan leaf batteries powering my house during peak grid hours and switching over to grid during off peak hours cut my electric bill to less than $100 per month using electricity to power my lights, frig, charge my car and heat my water.

      Rome wasn't built in a day brother. What kind of water heater do you have? And does it run all night?

    EXCELLENT WORK IN IMPROVING THE PV MODULES ARRAY FOR YOUR DIY SOLAR SYSTEM MOSTLY DONE ON YOUR OWN . MAY THE SOLAR BE WITH YOU .

      Thanks fam. My 2yr old loves to help me even though it makes the task take longer. The dad time is priceless

    Damn dude! That's some serious power! Very resourceful. I saw a guy use sheets of reflective mylar under his bifacial panels. It seemed to work pretty good. I bet it would lower the panel temperature too.

      Thanks fam. I felt like my system was growing at a slow pace, but the consistency paid off. Great idea btw

    Just a thought, if your not getting a good average wind speed or direction, biogas would be a good alternative for a natural energy winter resource, going to be my next adventure to supply a generator or water heater etc...

    • @SergeantSolar
      @SergeantSolar  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I thought about that but wouldn't the biogas Syste be less efficient in winter when I'd need it the most?! Unless I got 2 or 3 systems

      Yes it would at that time, but during the summer, it would be a case of catch and compress storage tanks, I did read methane is capable of generatoring 1,6kwh and propane is 6.2kwh so water heater would automatically reduce flow to reach desired temperature and I suppose generators would only be able to generate a certain kw.

      I have found a 48v battery charger that can have its amps adjusted from 5-25 to accommodate the methane kw production, I do have a 20amp 48v golf cart charger and electric scooter 3amp plugged in from other renewable resources from 12v battery, but yeah if I'd of known that I could have saved myself £200

      @HenryOwens-py3ur did you shop on Amazon, current connected, or signature solar?

    I did the same thing except no ground weed cover and used 2x4 for the legs. My only concern that I changed from my initial setup was to have the supports at least at the first hole on the panels~13-15 inches from the top.
    5:08 where did you get a bus bar for $8?

    Off cuts of wood under bottom ends of pannels, would increase air flow, not much but air from behind would be abell to get pushed out the front

      @@SergeantSolar Blankets or just take them in/ turn them over. I'm sure someone can come up with better ideas than myself. It's just something everyone needs to be aware of. 🙂

      @tracelee7332 I could use tin metal from marketplace !?!

      @@tracelee7332 Some cheap moving blankets from Harbor Freight might work. Install some grommets in the corners so they can be quickly tied down with paracord.

    Do you get much wind where you are?

    • @SergeantSolar
      @SergeantSolar  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sometimes depending on the weather. I'll add 1 wind turbine soon and if it does well I'll add more afterwards
