@X1000 - Hyperlapse Travel Channel thanks! You should get over to Cape Town and do one of your walking videos on Table Mountain!

@Gregorz D. - for sure, I mean it's table mountain so if you go to Cape Town it's a must do. With hindsight though I think I'd go up the Skeleton Gorge route via the Botanical Gardens. The Platteklip Gorge route is literally just thousands of stairs with pretty limited variation. Editing the Lion's Head video now, which I think is a better hike!

Well done Simon, great vid. Glad to see your work life balance is still intact! Don’t forget to do Everest Base Camp if you’ve not already done it. Scenery even more spectacular and people along the trail are lovely. Best from Jiri rather than Lukla as you get chance to get acclimatised and avoid altitude sickness. Tried to get your dad to do it, but said it was too cold 😂

@Andy Buchan - thanks Andy, hope you're well. I've actually been looking at base camp but need to work out average costs. Didn't realise you'd done it!?

@@WiththeSparrows yes did it in Oct 2008 just after LEJOG with your dad. Flew Air Bangladesh, straight into a military coup in Dhaka which meant driving around in a Landrover with mounted machine gun to see the sites that evening. Then flew on to Katmandu the next day. Cost of flight £400 return 😂. Remember you can buy your warm weather gear at Namche Bazar rather than lugging it around in the sun tropical areas…. we saw bananas growing after leaving Jiri! Climb Kala Pattar for best view of Everest. We went up about 6am. Cho La Pass and Blue lakes are also must visits.
