As a self taught guitarist the main verse is basically a variation of G played down the neck, I have no idea how Jeff and the guitarist (Tighe? co-wrote it, I believe) came across the divinity , but damn. massive joy from managing this when I "found" it. I often disagree with various tutorials, but this is IMO correct, or sounds right. I often argue with my brother about what we actually hear, which is so ..r..weird.

Thanks so much! Just got my Telecaster into some light compression (Diamond Compressor) and EQ (MXR Six band), some light drive (Creation Audio Labs Holy Fire) and then reverb from a Strymon Flint. The tremolo on the lead line is also from the Flint. And my amp is a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe :)

You should record guitar covers of all of these songs. The tone along with your playing sounds so great and different from the original.
