My dad worked many years at Las Cuartetas, and then he opened his own pizzeria near our home (we lived in the suburbs). Nearly 20 years after leaving Las Cuartetas, we went to have some pizzas after going to the theater, and the waiters recognized him!! They greeted him warmly, took great care of us, and of course, "IT'S ON THE HOUSE". A heartwarming memory!
My birthdays have always been fairly low-key, especially since I'm not a party person. My mom and I usually find a mom & pop restaurant and enjoy a quiet meal together, and that's enough. Today will be the third birthday in a row that we haven't been able to do that (the flu from hell in 2019 and the pandemic last year and this year), and I was feeling a little melancholy. Then I opened up youtube and found your latest video and the melancholy was gone. Thank you for letting me live vicariously through you two amazing people - I miss Argentina desperately, and I'm always excited to see it again through your camera lens. As an added bonus, you took me along on two DAYS' worth of pizza (thanks, Sam!). Your B-roll footage is always great, and you had some spectacular shots of the interior of Banchero. Thank you for posting this video and giving me the gift of an armchair return to one of my favorite countries in the world.
Guys you missed the best fugazetta ! That you can find in La Mezetta. Is not usually on the tourist circuit but worth to try! I am from buenos aires but now live in Singapore. Hope to have you here guys some day!
Me encan sus videos, lo maravilloso de ver la cara de Sam cuando prueba cada 1er bocado es increíble, es orgásmica.. saludos desde BA y buena vibra, Bless...

Thank you for the pizza tour. Pizza in Buenos Aires is spectacular. We were there a few years ago and enjoyed the pizza. Fresh ingredients, it's all about the quality. Right after I watched this vlog, I was hungry and went to my favorite pizzeria and got an anchovy pizza for my wife and I . it's not the same as Buenos Aires. Thank you for taking us along. Your biggest fans from Richmond Va. Harriet and Jim
I like that you both aren't afraid to try different things. I found this channel searching for Salmiakki, but also have been interested in visiting more of South America so now this came up in my suggestions and I see you enjoying anchovy pizza (something a lot of people would be doing a gross react video to) so I'll be following. I read a while back that something like 60% of people in Agentina have some Italian heritage in their family.
Our Argentine pizza. I eat that only occasionally, but my favorite pizzeria on your list is Las Cuartetas, by far. All that cheese is simply unmatched, an impact on your brain. But there are thousands of pizzerias in Buenos Aires, many of them in the neighborhoods and each one has its specialties. I strongly recommend that if you come to BA and visit the San Telmo neighborhood, go to this pizzeria: Pirilo. It is very special, super traditional, big portions, small place, no tables, you order your slices, they cut your part from an extra giant pizza and you eat it standing up. I love that. Since this video was recorded, many things have happened and prices may have changed, at least for us locals it is much more expensive to eat in pizzerias and restaurants. Great content and I feel that you two seem to be really nice people.
Beatiful pizzas, guys, and in the best places in Buenos Aires to eat them. One important fact is the difference between argentinian pizza and the italian one. The italian pizza's dough is very flat and slightly baked, so you have to fold it in order to eat it. Argentinian style - pizza a la piedra (stone made pizza) - renders a crunchy dough. Having tasted both, I prefer argentininan pizza. Cheers !!!
In the 70s, the Globe Chinese restaurant in Oshawa ON, used to be right downtown next to the theatres that were there, and there was and old gentleman waiter there, who took your order without writing it down, and even if you had a dozen folk at the table, he never got anything wrong.
Oh I also love anchovies and olives. That last pizza with the egg looked kinda weird but I bet it was great, the meat reminded me of mortadella Thanks again for taking us with you on your trip.
Question. I’ll be going down to Buenos Aires in December. Can you recommend a power converter to use in the hotels for charging our electronics. Have you done a video already on this topic?
Hi guys, incredible video, that's all the classic pizzerias in Avenida Corrientes but Buenos Aires have another incredibles place to eat pizza like "El Fortin" in Devoto, "El Imperio de la Pizza" in Chacarita, "La Mezzeta" (the best fuggazzeta), "El Cedron" in Mataderos and Pin Pun also in Avenida Corrientes. Hope you can come back and try one of this pizzerias. Greetings from Buenos Aires.
