- And we're back in Buenos Aires to pick up Audrey's dad, Daniel! If you've been watching our videos for a while, you'll know that Daniel has been an integral part of the ongoing renovations in Argentina, not only advising us but also coming down to work for months at a time. This time, he's down in Argentina for 2 months, so we travelled to Buenos Aires to pick him up. We also spent a few days being tourists around Buenos Aires, eating at some of our favourite restaurants, and visiting some attractions. We had a total of 4 days in the city before boarding a bus for the seaside city of Necochea, Daniel's hometown, which we visited for the first time since he left some 55 years ago. We hope you enjoy this vlog. We have a few more travel videos before we dive right back into the renovations!

I'm living far away from where I was born and raised, so your dad's words about coming home were really touching to hear. Sometimes I wish that longing for the normalcy of old homes and countries would go away, but at the same time it is a beautiful thing to come home again
Finally, our beloved dad is back. I'm looking forward to him appreciating and talking about the various dishes and wines. Such a wonderful man, it's a pity that his shepherd dog is not with him.

9:31 I walked by the Club Naval yesterday while on holiday and saw people who were not allowed in the restaurant because they were wearing sneakers. There's a sign in the entrance that says "elegant sport attire only"; , no sneakers or short pants are allowed.
The milanese and flans looked amazing!! Great for Daniel to be back, looking forward to seeing him ‘back home’ after all these years!

Oh, we have! That's good pizza as well. We visited Chicago a few years back and went to 5 of the most famous pizzerias - Sam's doing, of course! 😅🍕
I lived in Chicago and the pizza is good, the difference is in the cheese!

The Naval Centre and San Martin Mausoleum are architectural gems. Speaking of the latter, is it a church, I mean, is the final resting place of San Martin within a church?
Yes, his mausoleum is located inside the Metropolitan Cathedral of Buenos Aires and he's guarded by the Mounted Grenadiers Regiment. It's worth visiting if you're in the city!
