I have about 25 coats and at least 20 jackets. My husband has 2 and thinks I need therapy. I shall send him this video for clarity on the necessity for my many coats. Can’t thank you enough Trinny. Much love ❤️
My first trip to London was in 1998. I bought a black faux fur double breasted knee length coat from Camden markets for £21. I rarely wore it in Australia. Circa 2019, I’m living near London & wore it last night for the first time in 20 years. Glad I kept it.
And I thought I was the only person who loved coats this much. I love the transformative powers of a coat, every outfit looks better with a coat. I'm not at all wealthy and I don't work in the entertainment industry but I confess to owning more than 80 coats. I have always purchased the best quality coats I can afford and I rarely throw them away. I even have names for my favourites, from trenches to capes to the most glamorous vintage pieces I love them all❤️
Thank you for having you in my life and have the opportunity to enjoy your presence. You are amazing, professional and such a lovely person ❤. Thank you 😊 💓 ☺
Oh wow! I thought I was the only one with an outerwear obsession. I LOVE COATS. I am so happy to see that there's an other person with such big coat love!
RE Weights in leopard coat - you can get drapery rope weights by the yard/metre and just slide it into the hem. Snip a few stitches in the inner hem at the side seam and slide it all the way round, then restitch the holes. It’ll hang just as you’re wanting!
I had never thought about having a coat collection as such. Usually when I wore one or two out I purchased another....Well, I have been collecting after listening to you. Last year I purchased a leopard coat and love it. This year I purchased the Zara pistachio coat-it looks great with my skin, hazel eyes and hair. I also purchased the blue belted hounds tooth coat from & Other Stories and love that. I think you are so right about having a "coat collection". I always used to have black, camel. Now I am excited to wear more colorful coats. People see us mostly in our coats and its so dreary in the cold winter(n US) that it is fun to add a bit of color. Thank you so much for the idea of a "coat collection".
I LOVE these closet confession episodes and hearing all your stories about the origination of your pieces and your style tips - thank you for sharing and IM SO EXCITED for the sequin edition!
Loved loved loved another Closet Confessions with Trinny! Is there anything that doesn’t look great on you?! You are such a beautiful energy...even my screen can’t block that level of enthusiasm! And when you reacted to the idea of doing a session on sequins, it brought tears of joy to my eyes. You are my happy therapy through this pandemic! Thank you 🙏 🇨🇦
I absolutely love watching these videos. You two have such a lovely rapport going. It almost feels like watching as two friends are chatting. Relaxed, informative and so much fun. Keep them coming.
Yayyyy! I was hoping you would do coats!!! I also keep my coats and they are my favorite item to buy. Please do coats part 2 and also rain jackets and trenches.
Tinny if you watch Emily in Paris, season 3 you will see some of the clothes you have worn by Emily herself. I saw your sequenced multicolored Zara dress, your metallic Baum and Pferdgarden coat in pink. In general it seems to me you create style picked up by other stylists and fashion stores resulting in fashion trends.e.g the half tuck now is been worn by everyone, it’s a trend. The gillets you love to wear, especially ones which were coats and you removed the sleeves, are definitely trending in high fashion stores. It seems to me you are a trend setter and that is just amazing and says so much about your sense of style.
That first coat is everything!! You must wear it before Lila absconds with it. I have been collecting coats for years too, but My collection is not as big as yours LOL I always find amazing coats at boutiques and snatch them when they are %75 or %80 off.
So agree about the white coat. I have a vintage cream one I’ve had relined and new deeper pockets inserted. Love it. Monet used to paint, while smoking, in a three piece white linen suit. It’s a kind of look. Not quite pristine worn linen look all the Edwardians did.
I"m so happy I've found a lady who is as crazy about coats as me. I loved summers wearing just tops and shorts, but now I've started waiting for winters to buy and wear coats. Up to now I was a little bit nervous thinking about my obsession (as my friends thought about me). I will watch all your videos about coats and maybe they'll help me overcome the desire to buy them ..... or maybe they won't. ...Anyway thanks a lot
Pattern mixing is an art, which in my opinion, needs to be cultivated. I would love to see Trinny do a pattern mixing video if she hasn't already done so. Thanks!!!💟
Love your coats and you definitely look great in them. I have been collecting coats since the 80's and I still wear them !! I just got your great video.
how tall is Trinny London? 5'9"? I am 5'10" and am so happy to find such beautiful woman who is so passionate about being unique. I have discovered her yesterday and got so much inspirations and feel motivated to revamp my wardrobe and skincare routine a bit. I feel like a sexy girl again ! Thank you for being yourself Trinny, it is contagious
The grey coat from COS is beautiful! The buttons can be moved to fit better. Also, I think ARKET has some really great coats. This is my fav episode of all time!! ❤️
Coats are so completely my thing. I had 46 at last count but that was several years ago and I've bought plenty more since then. I just bought a new one this afternoon as well as a new, petrol blue blazer
Thank's Trinny! Now I know I'm not the only one obsessed with coats. It's totally normal 😉. I confess I have about 30 coats 🤦♀️. I stopped counting. The only reason holding me back from buying more coats is the problem of space.
I enjoyed this so much! I'm obsessed with coats as well, I have so many but I don't own a black one. It is so difficult for me to wear black and I don't understand how people feel that it is an everyday basic colour. It's much easier to wear cream, navy or olive on a daily basis.
Hi trinny all my life iv bought shoes clothes and bags it helped me during some very difficult times in my life I always got people saying why do you need all those things .cutting the story short I don’t listen ,you are the best because you love what I love style fashion for me it makes me feel good I don’t do it to pose off or to show off it’s me . It makes me feel good to look nice ,you have given me so many ideas as I think I hit a wall hitting 60 menopause weight gain etc has made me feel frumpy and stuck .you have made me feel much better thank you with love XP’s I still try to look good I now live in Greece great fashion the Zara shop is fantastic I’ll keep at it hahahah xx
I love all of Trinny's suggestions and her style. I am only 5'4.5" and Trinny is quite tall. Any suggestions for online stores for coats and trousers for someone shorts? I find most Zara clothes too long.
Te amoooo soy tu admiradora desde hace muchos años con tu programa "Que no usar" traducido al español, agradecida de encontrarte en youtube 😘besos y abrazos desde Argentina 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🤗🤗🤗
I ABSOLUTELY love watching these video's, listening to you both is like I'm in the room .. you're energy is addictive , it's inspired me to have a good look at myself and to lose the weight that I've gained these last couple of years - and unfortunately with weight gain comes less clothing options and reduced wardrobe attire as I now am unable to fit into 80% of my clothes😔 I wake up in the morning dreading getting dressed because I've SO little choice 🙉 , thank you both for another AmaZinG video ❤👌
This was such an exceptional share. Loved your curated sense of style! Please do a video on how to look after coats to keep them in such incredible condition. Wash/Wear/Storage options.
~loved your coats Trinny! The blue one is my fav! I've just invested in a trench coat & found at least 2 different ways to wear it,for work to look smart & then to wear it casually with a hoody! Honestly you can never have enough coats 😍
Everything looks so good on you😍. Since i found your channel 2 wks ago, havent stopped watching your videos! Your videos are like my textbook on how to style my wardrobe which Ive never thought before and can look chic at the same time. Its a no-brainer Trinny tribe 🤩 at an instant. Keep inspiring us with uour talent and charm❤️
Fabulous Trinny ..love all your coats..I own one! Bought from Zara last year for a trip to Canada ( which never happened due to covid) Live in Costa del Sol so rarely need one but miss the smart look..I own a long trad Burberry ( twenty years old) for the rainy season once a year...might wear my coat today as it is very cold here 6°.....perishing!!! Very pleased to see you looking better? from your latest vid. Xxx thank you ❤😘
You really are a star, I've been looking for a good gilet for years, just got my navy UNIQLO in post today, fits gorgeous, exactly what i wanted! THANKYOU x
Yes darling...would love to have saved all my coats i remember coats I had back to the 70s 🙄 when Midi's and Maxi's came out....but the ordinary girl doesn't have the room to keep them...☹ adore that first one...🤗
So excited Trinny, you have a coat that I bought on Asos, the pink and gold metallic print, you never got around to trying it on, still I’m delighted that you also have it. I’ve worn it a couple of times with a vintage style dress or silk midi skirt,
T 33:55, the moment Trinny reacts to the suggestion of 'sequins' lol classic! Incredible incredible coat collection. Too many to name my faves, but the one your husband had bought you...omG it's exquisitely designed. Will always be just super-cool. Love it #bigtime. & the maroon grandfathery one... from the vid it almost looks dressing gown esque, which imo only rates it even MORE! XD Dunno why, but it made me think of old NY alt art-chic, kinda Jean Michel Basquiat...
My coats really are my favourite items. My favourites are a green bomber with a tiger embroidery, reflective fila puffer and I bought an amazing lined woollen coat from Next that only cost about £70. I've been looking for one exactly like it for about 2 years
Sooo my faves were the metallic green one with the bold prints (OMG too cool for words!) and the black & white one at the end 😍 Fab! Also, I'd love to see the yellow one. PS: great tips! I never considered the high of the buttons comparing to the waste line etc...An eye opener!
After seeing you in another video wearing that long Zara military coat with gold trim, I had to find it in eBay! What an amazing item of clothing, glorious!!
Oh yes, coats I have 14. I love, love, love coats. Latest purchase from Club Monaco, leopard print, tailored but comfortable......$280.00....not bad. It’s just above knee length. Love your khaki with the red trim, a real keeper......red beret, huh....
I just love coats, and jackets I think a coat finishes off your outfit the only problem is, every coat i buy, I have to get the length and arms shortened as I am only 4ft 11" especially in ZARA, everything for me is far too long sadly .... however, just LOVE all Trinny's Closet Confessions I so look forward to them xx Love her x
I have about 25 coats and at least 20 jackets. My husband has 2 and thinks I need therapy. I shall send him this video for clarity on the necessity for my many coats. Can’t thank you enough Trinny. Much love ❤️
🤣🤣🤣😍😍
Hahah yours is now justified by Trinny, me too I love coats
I think you need more coats👍. I adore coats ❤
I feel so seen all of a sudden!
Do you buy your coats your normal size or do you purchase 1 size bigger due to layering?
My first trip to London was in 1998. I bought a black faux fur double breasted knee length coat from Camden markets for £21. I rarely wore it in Australia. Circa 2019, I’m living near London & wore it last night for the first time in 20 years. Glad I kept it.

Oh wow! I thought I was the only one with an outerwear obsession. I LOVE COATS. I am so happy to see that there's an other person with such big coat love!
I have to say, Tinny's eye for shape and the detail about the button at the end is amazing, she really knows her stuff. I love her.
Closet Confessions -the absolute best of all series that you do, Trinny, just my opinion! I absolutely adore these episodes!!!!
Thank you so much Christina X
My favourite series too ! I've learned a lot :) Hugs from Poland !
Me too. I get loads of ideas from listening to Trinny trying on clothes and talking about them.
@@TrinnyLondon beautiful do u remember sorry to scare u when I said i love u i don’t know how u feel about me
I'm catching up on my closet confessions and you are the QUEEN of "It doesn't fit but I can still ROCK IT!" You and that Prada coat! You're fabulous!
Wow, now looking forward to Coats Part Two!
Yes!! Can we have Coats part 2!! ✨😍✨ xx
I adore your jacket and coat collection, Trinny. Your favourite coat is amazing. Love the red piping details and the wide lapels. Just gorgeous!
Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes to a white coat. To white anything in winter/autumn. You stand out and just look so chic.

That vintage tweed Prada!! 🤩 inspired with the leopard print scarf!! Was so glad when she reached for it, I’d been eyeing it up in the background.
Great pointers about how to wear coats, how to mix prints, etc. Very informative and fun!✌️❤️
Thank you Marcella X
I totally agree. They complete your look. I have quite a few. I live in Michigan and we have four seasons. Need them all.
