@@joeblack8915 Exactly, there are some things that you can't replicate the magic from making a new version - and Howards Way was pure magic and joy in so many components. It was symbolic of a different better era of television and, a different better era of BBC with it. The camerawork they managed to achieve during the scenes on the yachts themselves was pioneering, the cast throughout its entire run sprinkled with top class acting throughout and omg that theme tune...it was a product of a better time which we all still adore no matter how many repeat runs, cause all of that makes you actually feel invested in every 1 of those characters storylines and settings. You just wouldn't feel that from a reinvented version of today, certainly not to the same degree what this first time around achieved.
Have it on DVD and loved it. The BBC did great drama in those days, unlike today.
Indeed so too alas. Today's tv is tripe in comparison
Maurice Colbourne was my favourite actor in Howards Way,. It was a damn shame that he died so young.
So sad what a gorgeous drama show.
My sister and I watched this as kids lol
Definately need a new 2023 version in these troubled times.
Would love a next generation of this
A great show, with great actors
Brilliant! Thanks for sharing 👍
Make a new Howards Way! :)
Why? The first one was good enough, with iconic characters that can't be recreated or replaced. Just enjoy the original and best!
