Fabulous,I’m watching and thoroughly enjoying the daily showings on Drama…and the wonderful thing to me, its totally void of quotas, diversity and wokery!

I was however distressed that slimeball Masters came out on top. I cursed him first time round and this!

I was hooked on Howards Way, I thought it was great. I was so upset when the actor Maurice Colbourne died. I really liked his character Tom

Yep, I watched this avidly in the 80s and I’ve just finished watching it all again from start to finish. Brilliant series; drama, intrigue, passion, greed, glamour, tragedy, treachery.. it had it all, set against a glorious back drop. It was escapism for sure, but it symbolised what we all aspired to, and made us believe that anything was possible.

I was a kid in the 80s so this show slightly passed me by . Though the theme tune and openning sequence of yachting and yachts must have had a strong effect on me because I'm watching it all now and loving it.

It was fabulous. I moved back south in the 80s and lived near where this programme was made. Fantast I loved every minute of it and now watching it again.

Love it and have since shared it with my wife. Remember one occasion when we were parking up on the way home from the south coast to watch Leo’s boat race. Brilliant programme

Loved it then and love it now, tape it every night, still have 39 to watch !! Even my drama hating husband of 76 yrs old loves it!! For me it reminds me of my sailing days in Sydney age 25 so very nostalgic. I went to the CYCA or some Ladies Sailing classes, thought yes I am happy getting feet wet in and out of a dingy as I had in Lymington. The yachts I learned on were massive 60ft or one was 90ft ! "Love and War" was a well known beautiful wooden yacht that won Sydney/Hobart I sailed on. Warren Mitchell was a keen yachtsman out there among us. Every day after work in the city I ran down with my tinned mussels for tea on board! I even got a place as a hostess for the Sydney Hobart !! Oh yes Howards Way was very true to the Yachting life. When I came back to the UK, I worked in a pub and I somehow was given a lift to the IOW in a private 2 seater plane and chauffeured for the day at Cowes Week. I was just like Lynne Howard back then, but not a good actress though. Thank you all who made it work and wrote it. Bless you all.

I've just been watching the brothers on the brilliant channel talking pictures, I remember it in the seventies when I was about 12, thought it was boring then but it's brilliant, I loved Howard's way when it came out as I lived near Burnham on crouch and worked making boat windows, I didn't know these shows were related

The 80s when Britain was still great. Sadly, in the decades since we have seen a steady decline on every level that had previously made Britain the greatest country in the world.

Love these sort of docos. Nothing like a group of people who were far too young to be watching or understand making comments about a tv they really never experienced. And that’s in spades here.

What are you talking about? Gary Russell would have been in his mid 20's and Matthew Sweet in his early 20's when the show was going out. Both are well qualified to be speaking in this documentary.

Loved it, loved it, loved it. I so wanted to be Charles Frere (R.I.P. Tony Anholt); alas, I'll have to settle with owning the complete dvd box set.
I've got the individual series dvd box sets if anyone wants them!

My Dad's family actually hail from Burnham On Crouch in Essex but he hates this show. It's nothing like the real thing in Burnham. At least according to him.
I see the paralels but Howards Way has more of a touch of Dallas thrown in. 😅😊😂. He'll kill me for saying so.
