That was my video on the Gordon fail, thank you for the mention! It appears the HF has temporarily pulled the Gordon from store and online sales until at least August 12. I think there were enough failures that they determined they had a serious problem on their hands. I purchased a Surge afterwards, so your testing was pertinent. Just by feel- the Gordon had a harder blade. It was more difficult to sharpen and held an edge better. I am surprised that your testing did not support that. Perhaps batch inconsistencies are to blame, or my ‘feel’ test is not very accurate. I would attribute the hard opening Gordon to just over torqued bolts- they have no locktite in them but the blades are well isolated with brass washers. Pretty straitforward to loosen it up, add locktite and tighten just til the blade drags a bit. Only one side threads, the other side is a D shape shank. At any rate, subbed.

@@nightshadefern162 sorry for not linking the video , I couldn't find it in my history , but it was a great video. I very much appreciate you uploading it. Batch inconsistency does exist , even in premium $500+ pocket knives...so that might be the case. I try to be unbiased but I honestly felt immediately underwhelmed by the 40 dollar gordon. I couldn't recommend it over a used Wave or even better maybe...a SOG...God those things are amazing. In terms of ease of use at least. I'm definitely not a multitool expert by any stretch of the imagination...nor do I really aspire to be. I reach for one when changing a headlight in a peterbilt and honestly....that's about it. I tried , they're just not my jam. Thanks for watching and your informative comment. Have a great week. We are proud to have you as a subscriber. 😎🤜🤛

This was a great choice for testing to see what you're really getting with the clone.👍

Right , I'm not a multitool guy but someone asked about the Leatherman. Figured I'd throw it in there too.

I've wondered about Leatherman's 420 for years. It's pretty soft- which tracks, they don't hold an edge well. I think you'd do better with Ganzo multitool than the Gordon. They at least claim to have 440c blades

I'm not sure what sog uses...and I can't really comment on edge retention on the blade of a sog multitool but ...omg...the sog us so one handed 😆😆😎

    Good stuff brother Billy!!!
The RhC testing is gonna be a big think for not only your knife business but your TH-cam!
    It’s gonna keep building buddy!
Sorry I haven’t been by much lately.
Been a little bit overwhelmed! 😂
Starting to figure it out !

You ain't got nothing to apologize about dude. I don't get to watch as many as I used to either. It's hard juggling everything around. I get it. I hope it helps somebody out. I was gonna test my knives anyway. Might as well record it.
