    If you are allergic to pollen, please be carefull for the bee pollen. My ex girlfriend was almost dead by trying one spoon. Her throat swole by the point she almost couldnt breathe. Luckily someone in her surroundings got an anti allergic pen.

    Most men today have suboptimal levels of testosterone - a lot less than their fathers or grandfathers had just 30-50 years ago. There are various reasons for this. One factor that is oftentimes neglected is endocrine disruptors in our environment (i.e., xenoestrogens, BPA, phthalates, triclosan, etc.), phytoestrogens in food (i.e., soy, which is in almost all processed foods), and hypothyroidism (subclinical or autoimmune Hashimoto's disease).
    To increase testosterone levels naturally and reduce chronic inflammation:
    • Get enough daily sunlight.
    • Supplement with vitamin D3 (especially during the winter or if you live in a northern climate).
    • Supplement with zinc picolinate (20 - 40 mg per day).
    • Supplement with magnesium glycinate or citrate.
    • Weight train regularly (3 - 5 times per week for 45 - 90 minutes).
    • Prioritize neuromuscular recovery, don't over-train.
    • Get adequate (quality) sleep.
    • Consume more healthy fats (monounsaturated and saturated fats from sources like grass-fed red meat, pasture-raised eggs, fatty fish, organic full-fat dairy, coconut fat, avocados, cocoa butter, certain nuts and seeds, etc.).
    • Increase your cholesterol intake through properly-sourced whole foods. Cholesterol is the building block of all steroid hormones, including testosterone.
    • Control stress. Do what you have to do to keep it under control (things like meditation, yoga, nature walks, relaxing music, massage/reflexology sessions, adaptogenic herbs, etc.).
    • Chronically elevated cortisol levels disrupt the HPT (hypothalamus-pituitary-thyroid) axis and deplete your body of the very resources it needs to produce androgens, including testosterone.
    • Eat enough quality calories (not all calories are the same), and avoid large caloric deficits.
    • Eat adequate amounts of each macronutrient (protein, carbs, fats). All of them are important in their own way and serve specific functions.
    Beneficial supplements:
    • Ashwagandha
    • Maca
    • Taurine
    • L-Carnitine (increases androgen receptor density)
    • Creatine
    • Tongkat ali
    • Fadogia agrestis
    • Black ginger
    • Pine pollen (contains natural androgens)
    • Boron (increases free testosterone)
    • DIM (natural anti-estrogen)
    "The Testosterone Advantage" by Timotheus Ray is a nice read on male health and hormone optimization.

    I have noticed that honey I bought at the store tastes weird (like sugar water) and very quickly crystallizes so much that you can't even get it out of the container after only eating a few spoonfuls of it. So I started getting raw honey from a local beekeeper. This local raw honey is awesome. It never crystallizes, and the flavor is 1000x better. If you can, buy it from a local beekeeper. That way, you'll support a local business, and there is a much greater chance that the honey you are eating is REAL, because honey, like olive oil, is very heavily counterfeited, and most of what you find on the supermarket shelves is not real.

    • @tylergary5953
      @tylergary5953 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      True. Quality of food is the most important part. Mostly everything you find i stores is fake. Like 99.9% of all food in stores is fake. I have organic honey from the store. I also have raw organic honey from a local farmer stand. Major difference. I use as a sugar substitute as well. Unless the sugar is from fruit/raw organic cane sugar.

    • @soylentgreenb
      @soylentgreenb 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

      Crystallization is about water content. Most honey is super saturated and will crystallize eventually. If it never crystallizes it either has a lot of water (you don't need to add water, it depends on where the bees get the honey) or it has been carefully filtered to remove tiny seed crystals so it can remain super-saturated for a long time. Honey that never crystallizes is a bit weird and probably messed with.

    • @soylentgreenb
      @soylentgreenb 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@BudgetInnovation1 Heating may not be enough. You can disolve sugar crystals but pollen and other stuff can be seeds for crystal formation and you need to both heat and ultrafiltration for it to stay runny essentially forever. It may still crystalize eventually if you get some contaminant like flour or dust in there but left in the jar it won't. Microfiltration is not good enough.
      Microfiltered honey can still be sold as raw honey in the US and some other places if it has not been heated above a certain temperature.

    A note about the losing fat thing. Losing too much fat will absolutely be just as much as a problem. Natural bodybuilders who get super shredded always always always end up having their testosterone tank, I've heard of one guy dropping to the testosterone of an old man.
    The optimal body fat percentage for health for most men is 14-18%, maybe 20% if you're a naturally heavier guy and maybe 12 if you've been skinny your whole life.

    • @BenWinney
      @BenWinney  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      True. I'd argue anything over 15% and you start to get into estrogenic territory with the amount of aromatase in your fat tissue. Anything over 20% should definitely be avoided.

      if i may, do more "compound movements" - as a former Amateur Bodybuilder; these are different than "isolation" movements, such as the bicep curl on a Preacher Bench and most isolation machinery [machines aren’t “bad” - just use them as isolation exercises more than compound exercises]. We used to have a saying for guys that were smaller but could lift/pull as much as the bulbous-looking dudes: ‘Farm Strong’ - these guys usually came from Farms or grew up on them, where you do a lot of complex, varied movements involving multiple muscle groups ('compound movements') such as bailing hay, lifting and transporting animals and equipment, stake driving and digging, etc etc - all movements that are not ‘one flex of any one thing’ type of isolation movements, these are all complex/compound, large movements of the body that involve many muscle groups at once. Modern gyms started to incorporate a lot of this type of stuff as of about the 2000’s or so - you can now do workouts with large ropes, huge heavy tyres/tires, kettle bells and other apparatus’ that mimic these compound ‘farming’ movements, with large and complex movements of the body. These types of exercises will strengthen not only the muscles themselves but also the tendons that attach muscle to bone (and to a small extent, the ligaments that attach bones to other bones). Start slow/light on these if your equipment allows, but increases of these Compound Movement exercises over time, will definitely strengthen your tendons and joints. HTH GL with it

      Avoid any type of sugar PERIOD! Raw honey, berries (especially red and blueberries), these will actually help reverse diabetes. Diabetes occurs with a lack of antioxidants (fruits and honey are high in!) and desensitization of the insulin pathways coupled with elevated BLOOD-SUGAR. Fruits and honey will return balance to your insulin sensitivity because they require much more time to be processed and have the antioxidants to protect your cells from damages. Eat more red meat, fish, drink non-homogenized milk, lightly pasteurized is okay... cut the processed foods and carbs. You will literally save your flesh from rotting off of your body.

      Thing is carbs are not inherently bad, just like all natural things, the dosage makes the poison. Most of the world is on a diet of high processed carbs and shitty trans fats from fake foods. Which resulted in a steady rise of metabolic diseases, such as type 2 diabetes. I ain't gonna tell you what to eat, you do you. I just hope you really know what you are doing. This would suggest that in our evolutionary past we got so much vitamin C from our diets that we no longer needed to synthesise it. And vitamin C isn't found in very high amounts from animal sources, which is why carnivores synthesise it themselves. You'd need hundreds of grams of liver and spleen daily just to reach the RDA.
      I agree with 99% of what you're saying except the idea that we should only eat meat

    • @austinmeredith6647
      @austinmeredith6647 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@BenWinney We do not grind food. Our jaws are not designed to grind like horses and cows, etc. The inability to synthesize vitamin c is not an indication other than itself. That is an observation. That be like saying well because carnivores have sharp teeth, nothing without sharp teeth cannot be carnivores. Yet, there are several species that have no teeth, and they eat only meat. Fish included.
      Humans do not need high volume of vitamin c. If you consume carbs, your vit c needs go up because of the GLUC 4 transporter.
      The RDA values the government created is all bullshit. That is all based on their balanced diet which is not scientifically based. There is no study proving the true Nutrional needs for humans. Never has been a study conducted. Only inferences made. The body needs varying nutrients depending on the diet of chose. Lots of vegetables and fruits have antinutrients and prevent nutrient absorption.
      Ancestrally, humans ate over 80% of food from muscle meat for hundreds of thousands of years. It has been proven that carbs and sugars spike your blood, cause damaged to your cells. impact digestion and inflame your brain. These are all bio markers that show us we are not to eat this stuff because it disrupts cell function.
      Eat your processed foods, fruits, veggies, etc and your stool will be smeared and will need to wipe your ass. Go carnivore, and literally no joke, you do not need to wipe. There is nothing there.
      Eat anything but meat, and you pass a lot of the food you ate, eat only meat, your body breakdowns and uses over 95% and your stool volume is very little.
      Eat only meat and you will reverse your age. Your body runs off proteins, saturated fats, and cholesterol from meat.
      Go listen to Dr. Shawn Baker, Dr. Anthony Chaffee, Professor Bart Kay, Dr, Ken Berry, etc. They expose all the lies.
      Our digestive track is carnivore. We have 5 organs working in concert to use bile, to help breakdown protein and fats.
      Already proven the body can only handle at most 4 grams of sugar in one sitting and this causes the body to quickly eliminate sugar from the body. Same with carbs. Carbs age the body 7 times faster. Carbs and sugars cause stress to the cells and impair mitochondrial function.
      Vegans need meat or they will starve and die. Other groups who eat a balanced diet are either fat or sick from processed foods. or are aging like milk. Only pure meat eaters show the optimal health.
      Our brain runs off of fats, not carbs. Not only are vegetables slowly destroying your organs, but they can only be broken down by the microbes in your guy, without them, cannot break them down much. Meat can do it fully on our own.
      Randell cycle proves we are to be meat eaters too.
      Also, historically, the evidence is all there that we are meat eaters. The hunter gatherers are bs. We gathered nuts, seeds and berries in means of starvation. We are well over 80% meat. The later cavillations, once the agricultural boom, they started moving further away from meat purely, and health dropped.
      Go carnivore and fully adapt over 6 months clean carnivores. Grass fed and grass finished. Then go introduce fruits, vegetables, nuts, etc. without processed foods. I guarantee you will feel like shit afterwards. Once you eliminate the crap and get on our species-specific diet, which is carnivore, the body heals itself from all the signaling damage done by processed foods and fruits, veggies and grains. Your body will tell you really quick what it wants. Our bodies are machines. The body knows what we need.

      @mingus445_gaming Mich better than processed foods. I've been there before too. Walmart has marketside grassfed meat. Think $6.28 a pound, and if you buy the 3 pack, it's under $6 a pound. I started there until I swapped to a farmer. Try finding a local farmer. Might find better deals. Would say to try get beef in a meal each day if possible. Or every other day.

    It’s a good thing you talked about how most honey is just sugar syrup. I’m not sure about the insuline thing though. Honey obviously contains sugar which can and will make you fat if overused, which will then significantly drop testosterone. If you want to prevent an insuline spike (to not feel tired/ get diabetes) it’s good to eat something without carbs beforehand. This will also work for let’s say pizza or pasta. If you eat a large salad before a pizza your insulin levels won’t go through the roof like it usually would.

      I am lucky to be near a store where they actually hire a lab to test the honey for chemicals. If a honey they import isn't up to their testing they simply don't buy. They can afford this because they are a small chain so can buy big enough to justify the lab test costs. If you could find something like that, that would be ideal. Some beekeepers's bees go all over farms full of pesticides and stuff and their honey is contaminated.
