    Beautiful... Nice to see a bit of smoke and fire
    Fire would be nice since it snowed over here in Montana... But I don't really mind, I quite like the snow

    Just learned that the Napoleonic 12 pounders cannon were made of bronze 90% copper and 10% tin.

    I noticed it looked like the ramrod was used kinda like a flag safety. Nice.

    • @1stminnsharpshooters341
      @1stminnsharpshooters341  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Sir - at civil war reenactments for Musket shooting the musket ramrod is most always not permitted due to the safety concerns if accidently left in the barrel. (note the musket can be loaded with out this as its loaded vertically -the lose black powder simply falls to the end of the barrel.) Artillery is a bit different - it requires the wet sponge to extinguish any embers from the last shot (remember you are shooting 1 pound of black powder) and the rammer is also required to load the piece since the cannon is horizontal. The loading process of course requires removing the rammer. Thanks pard for the comment!
