    Beautiful card! I don’t know if anyone else has mentioned it but poinsettias are actually a tropical flower, originating in Mexico and Central America, we just turned them into Christmas flowers because of their color. Love your videos, thanks for sharing.

    Beautiful card! It's worthy to note that all tape runner adhesives are pressure-sensitive, meaning that pressure is needed to activate the adhesive so it becomes permanent. Pressure from your hand or a bone folder does the job.

    This card speaks to me greatly! I love pink! The florals are so pretty! I have to say I know there’s nothing I can do about it, but I wish I could get familiar with my Catherine Pooler inks. I love how you never have to guess and know just what you want and get what you want. I’ve never even used them in a stencil but we know how little I’ve used those too. Someday I’d all I can hope. I have all the reinkers so I hope that will give me the life I need.

    My children learned what a prototype is from me insisting on making one before I started on my holiday cards. When my youngest went to college, I would sent her that one but I tell that now that she's married, she rates the real deal. I love that you are using the Magicals. I've been neglecting mine. Time to get them out. I don't think I've smooshed them. I usually use them more like watercolors. You created a really beautiful card. I hope she loved it.

    I love my Nuvo glue, partly because I love the beautiful bottle! I’ve tried several other glues but Nuvo Deluxe is by far my favourite.
    Gorgeous card too. I feel it’s much harder to make a card for a specific occasion! I do it for all the cards I make for a particular person, rather than grab one from my stash of completed cards. I now sell my other cards at markets,because there’s only so many I can make for ‘no reason’!

    • @ardyth
      @ardyth  ปีที่แล้ว

      LOL! I find it hard to make specific cards, too, so I do shop my stash of cards for birthdays , Christmas and thank yous, but weddings, baby and sympathy are generally custom-made for the specific person. Thanks so much for watching!

    Have you tried the precision glue press? I noticed your bearly arts glue was in the correct shape for it and wondered where you found it. Mines round and I’d have to pour it into the extra bottle they give you. Sometimes it gets tough to squeeze the glue but it’s a high ticket item for what it is. I think. For Pete’s sake it’s not a high tech device and $35 is a lot. But I see a lot of ppl using it. Just wanted your thoughts. I also checked the lazy Susan. Great idea but also very high priced for what it is. You get your moneys worth, but I couldn’t. I checked 12” lazy Susan’s on Amazon so maybe if I ever get the real time to start creating I’ll grab a turntable. Fantastic card! I’d love to get a birthday card this pretty!

    • @ardyth
      @ardyth  ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not have luck with the precision glue press. I do not have any arthritis or issues with squeezing the bottles directly, and I found the grip just too big for my hand or something. I didn't find it comfortable and I didn't feel like I had as much control with the glue as I do when I'm not using the press. I know other people love it, and that's good - it just wasn't for me. But I am definitely taking advantage of the bottles that came with it! Thanks for watching, Denise!

    • @ardyth

      Thanks so much! I found the glue press too big for my hand, and felt like I had less control than just using the bottles. But I know different people need different things and I'm glad it's working so well for you! And I am definitely making use of the bottles! lol! Thanks for watching!

    I have wanted to try the magicals prinkled on the glass with water since you did the card summit! I really liked how you taped off the area so you knew where your area was. I just have Neenah 110# cover weight and index. Do you think hammerMill is much better for more than one technique that index can’t do? I use the cover weight for bases, panels, die cuts, but index for paints on the gel press. The rare occasion I do it. I can tell this is going to be beautiful. Pink is my favorite color!

    • @ardyth
      @ardyth  ปีที่แล้ว

      I did this with the 110# and like watercolour paper, the colours just didn't move as much, but it was still very pretty. I use #110 for card bases, Hammermill 100 for most of my card panels, and index for most of my gel printing. Hope that helps! Thanks for watching!

      Yes, yes I did (that's my story and I'm sticking with it! lol!) It wasn't really on purpose but it didn't bother me either - I think the effect works well with natural elements like these leaves. Thanks for watching!

    Idk why magicals doesn’t sell all of them in shakers but they should sell the empty ones for sure! I wonder if Amazon would have something you could use. And put all of them in. But probably more hassle.

      They come sealed under the lid and I need to remember to poke a hole in that seal rather than ripping it off. It's my own fault! lol!

    Can I ask where you got the precision tip bottle for the Bearly Art glue? I haven’t found that shape or size on the websites you linked.

      That bottle and tip came with the Precision Glue press (the label came off my Bearly Art refill). Not sure if it's available elsewhere. That bottle is really for Tonic Nuvo glue, so it might be worth looking on a Tonic site? Thanks for watching!

    I've been slowly converting to liquid glue too... i haven't tried nuvo yet... does it dry matte? Cuz I need a truly invisible glue.. or glasses 😂
    Your custom card is beautiful!! I am mostly a custom card maker and i need to remember the inside and the envelope too!

      I just leave my glasses off then I can't tell if there's extra glue or not! lol! I am finding that the Nuvo glue (which was my favourite because it didn't clog, even without a pin) is thicker than the Bearly Art glue. I think I prefer the thinner. But I have not let them dry to see if they're matte. hmmm. let me do that now... Thanks so much for watching!
