@castor-23 When I watched the film, I thought the kid was Scottish because here in Britain we sometimes don't pronounce the H in many words Except for Welsh where ear, year, and here are all pronounced the same
@EliasTressa well in a way this film shows on how dedicated that santa is along with his elves who have essentially the same level of training equivalent to black ops soldiers and going the extra mile to make sure that they aren't known cause Santa is supposed to be a myth

Arthur Christmas takes place presumably in the year it released (2011). This is the current Santa's 70th run. 2011 - 70 = 1941. Ergo, Grandsanta could still have made the run in 1940 provided it was his penultimate before hanging up the mantle (although apparently he was shot multiple times which forced him into retirement).

Something that I quote a lot, especially during the holidays is when this little boy says "Santa, are you 'ere?"
Yeah bro I'll say this to him it's Santa are you here
The scene takes place in France, which is why the H is omitted; French people don’t pronounce the H

I like how they treated this like a soldier stepping on a land mine they have to disarm
Well technically this entire department acts like the armed forces

@@damiandavis612 I mean they both break into the white house and hack some military's missile program, they are pretty good at their jobs
Hilarious how Robbie Coltrane is the elf who mentions 1816.
Ironically another Harry Potter actor named "Imelda Staunton" voiced Mrs Claus in this so Robbie isn't the only Harry Potter actor in this film.
I would have loved a full movie about the elves missions to deliver presents, as it was my favourite part of this movie.
I always laugh at how they literally blind him to get outta there
Better he doesn't see Santa
I hope it was Temporary.
@@okjeffy6581they just shined lights at him so he’d look away, he’s fine
They really got Mrs Claus on point in both desgin and general personality. You slay queen!

Never forget 1816.
Why were they hunting Santa? He gives them presents; he’s not a threat.
This was the north pole’s equivalent to 911.
0:05, I guess they didn't want Arthur to see the video.

How come old Santa says he’s been in 1940 he could have possibly been in 1914 when the Christmas truce happened
