- r/Prorevenge In today's episode, OP has an incredibly toxic boyfriend. The boyfriend cheats on OP and regularly insults his partner, which completely destroys OP's self esteem. Eventually, one of the boyfriend's cheating partners contacts OP through Facebook, and together they come up with a plot to get revenge against the boyfriend and utterly destroy his relationship with his foamily. OP does a simple phone trick to deceive the boyfriend into insulting his own mother.

For that Mail story, I have caught our local post office workers just throwing our packages. Even the ones labeled fragile!! I have a doorbell cam
My personal favourite are the situations where they ring the doorbell, toss your package in the porch/whatever and then just walk away before you even get a chance to get there. One of our neighbours also had a package thrown underneath their parked car on the drive: good thing she saw it before driving over it.
This is why I don’t use delivery services when mailing live animals
Well i experienced what op said in Turkey. I don't know anybody from other countries experienced it.
My work sent me a whole new computer setup--laptop, two monitors, separate keyboard and mouse, in total valued easily at over $1000. A signature was required, as expected, but the FedEx guy just left them on my front porch and drove off. He forged my signature. Fortunately I was home at the time and heard but still. That would've been problematic had porch pirates gotten to them first.
here it depends on who delivers, I prevented a lot of headaches by accepting my neighbour's packages, especially during holidays.
To that cheating boyfriend:
HE HAD IT COMIN'
HE HAD IT COMIN'
HE ONLY HAS HIMSELF TO BLAME
IF YOU'D HAVE BEEN THERE
IF YOU'D HAVE SEEN IT
I BETCHA YOU WOULD HAVE DONE THE SAME

OP didn't destroy the relationship with Jakes mom, Jake did
With the last one, I definitely feel like OP was smart for making sure Jake's mom got to really see her son for who he is; garbage.
It's gotta suck for his mom to realize your son is an abuser, but kids are great at masking around their parents so I don't think his mom would have ever seen the real Jake had OP just disappeared.
OP is a bonafide badass and has my respect. They have endured so much yet rose above like a Phoenix from the ashes. The strength and resilience, I just really want to emphasize how incredible OP is. OP could have easily just left the cheating bastard to rot and moved on but they are such a great person they went above and beyond to contact anyone that their ex cheated with to inform them in an attempt to protect them. OP is absolutely amazing.
OP is in the wrong. If someone cheats on you then you leave them. Destroying their life is petty and vengeful and makes you as bad as the cheater.
@@Darkloid21 sounds like something a cheater would say
@@25_nishita45 wrong, it’s called being human and learning to move on instead of seek revenge. Petty people seek revenge
@@Darkloid21 Hurt people hurt people.
@@Darkloid21 The cheater in this story is in the wrong. He openly bragged about cheating, emotionally abused OP and was a happy to manipulate at them at any opportunity. He got what he deserved. OP isn't as bad as the cheater, OP decided to fight back like they should have.
To everyone who's in a romantic relationship: Never ignore the creep alarms. If a partner is starting to act manipulative, abusive, or even "distant" at any point, then you should start questioning their faithfulness. All they do is putting you down and making you question yourself, all to make themselves feel disgustingly accomplished for it. Don't feed their egos and malice, and stand up for yourselves, because you are better than what they want you to believe.
Yeah, pretty much. I mean, there are always exceptions, but those are VERY rare. In this case, I think it's better to assume the worst and be pleasantly surprised if it does turn out to be one of the exceptions.
That last story honestly hurt to hear; I feel so bad for OP. Cheating aside, what Jake did to them was completely deplorable. Them getting upset and crying during s*x is something called subdrop, a very dangerous mental state to be in when your s*xual boundaries are crossed in the middle of a scene. I got *so* mad when Jake decided to stop giving them aftercare after they dropped, because that could've turned their subdrop into traumatization.
Honestly I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he IS traumatized. Once is bad enough, but this happened repeatedly, and he's also pretty young. Then add past issues to the mix and his treatment outside of the bedroom. He also talked about how he liked humiliation in the bedroom -- as in, past tense. So looks like this a-hole took this from him too. I hope he can find some peace within himself and a more loving and responsible partner in the future.
I didn't even know that there was a term for that.
I didnt know that was a term, but if figured since (bleh) is supposed to be when you form a bond of trust and are at your most vulnerable, and usually theres 1 dominant creature in the relationship. If that dominant begins to say thing, you think its ok because youve formed that bond with them and trust them, thats how it goes for non verbally abusive people. The dominant in some species wajts to insert his domination and intimadate, which might be part of this besides being a douche. Im not a physcologist so do correct me if im wrong just dont be rude abt it :/.
That's interesting to know. I'm very uninformed about dom/sub dynamics, this story and your comment have been educational. I wish OP the very best, and I hope they find a truly loving and supportive partner.
Jake: "You ruined my life!"
OP: "Yes, very sad. Anyway..."
For that first story I'm just trying to imagine the balls that mailman had to just make unbroken eye contact with OP while he drove away like that without making any effort to actually deliver the package. Sounds like the mail service in that country needs a firm kick up the ass.
Oh no! Anyway...
You should see the workload vs capacity that mail services give their delivery people. 99% of the time, there simply isn't enough time and too much work, and companies refuse to hire enough workers.
Same day shipping too
The story about the toxic boyfriend threw me for a loop when I heard "Boyfriend" instead of "Girlfriend" at first, but then it clicked "Oh, OP is gay, gotcha, makes more sense now." Also, I gotta say that revenge was WELL planned out. :)
Same
It's also life running considered OP commited crimes
you all are really homophobic if you were confused even for a second
@@spicydiarrhea5662 I’m sorry what 😃
@@spicydiarrhea5662 you're really stretching it. This isn't even close to homophobia. OP didn't disclose their sex, only their age. Yuki was only saying that they got confused because they assumed it was a GF/BF situation, but then they catched it and simply went on with the rest of the story. There is nothing homophobic in that and I seriously don't see where you're coming from, its like you're just trying to stir up fire or something.
I've had a similar issue to the first story, not with the USPS, but with Fedex, and yeah, when they tried to give me that nonsense that I can't know for sure they didn't actually attempt a delivery, I invite them to watch my security camera footage, since I have a camera above my door. I got so sick of them marking my packages as attempted delivery when they did no such thing, I called and complained enough about the guy that does the route in my neighborhood, idk if he quit or got fired, but its a different guy now and he doesn't play games.
UPS after yeeting the box be like: UPS, we messed up
I live in an RV resort, basically just a fancy trailer park. I have a street address and a unit number. Let's call it 100 trailer park rd unit 200. The problem is there actually is a unit 100 as well. No one is there most of the time but the front door is COVERED with UPS and FedEx delivery notices, none of which are for unit 100.
Fedex is complete garbage now.
I had three problems with FedEx in the last year all because they didn't believed my apartment number was correct. Never was an issue before until 2020.
My local FedEx guy is a jerk, but the UPS lady is cool. I once saw her move the neighbor's FedEx and USPS stuff out of the rain, which is pretty cool

The mail person from the first story sounds extremely suspicious. If he was doing that to OP, who else did he screw over? How many other packages has he stolen and how many other customers have also how to call to have their packages replaced?
He probably wasn't stealing, just wanted to save time and not try to deliver
I know that story is from my country lol.. because its so common.. its not about stealing packages.. its about being lazy and trying to save time.. fill out the missed delivery slip, put it in the mailbox and and leave.. ie not having to look for package, walk to the door and deliver it to the person. It literally means spending 20mins to fill out all the misses post forms, saving probs a couple hours of work, dumping all the packages off at the post office and then its not their problem.
He wasn't stealing them. If the customer picks up the packages at the place, the delivery person earns more money, rather than when they deliver the package to the door.
@@xS.K. what country if I may ask
The other customers aren't calling, that's the problem. Most people avoid confrontation and will just accept the convenience. It was only OP and maybe one or two other people. Still, even if this wasn't the case? If this is anywhere the post service is unionized? You need OP's video to do anything or the union will just undermine any discipline the manager tries to enforce.
“I slept with my step sibling’s boyfriend! Aren’t I special?”

Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if the delivery guys are being abused, financially and verbally, to deliver packages faster then possible and thats why these lazy behaviors develop. After all if its the shipping company in general then their is a systemic problem. I feel bad for the fired mailman, he was wrong but he may be a victim too
Oh I knew some one who worked for these companies and can 100% guarantee that true he was once pressured to drive over the speed limit by his boss
Usually, when a problem seems endemic to an industry or company, it’s the fault of a systemic issue rather than individual bad employees.
I think I've won the jackpot with my mailman, I usually spot him walking up to my house accompanied with my big dog trotting next him and with him carrying my smallest dog (who absolutely loves him).
Luckyyy, most of the people currently delivering to me suck and some steal things. One left a package that required a signature and faked the signature rather than bothering to push the damn doorbell. Packages being listed as delivered despite them never showing up (I actually watched for them the 2 times that happened. Clearly theft by the carrier or someone else in the post office, but I have no way to prove it, but I’m also not the only one it’s happening to)
The usps gets away with far too much just because it’s a government facility.
I miss the mail carriers from my hometown, they were all fantastic.
Ordered a build a bear for the little one and found the box smashed and crushed against the side of the house. I see it was handled with care. Gotta love the USPS.

I’ve had the problem for sure but it’s a better problem than having your package left without notice and stolen tbh. That’s what I go through. (Or in a couple cases stolen without delivery but labeled delivered. I watched for them those 2 times)
They don’t bother getting signatures for certified mail either they just fake the signature
Agreed. I've never had this issue with USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Doesn't mean there aren't crappy drivers doing a crappy job
@@tiredman99 yep. There are good carriers and bad ones. The ones in my hometown were great. Most of the ones where I currently live are awful, potentially even criminal sometimes.

As much as I'm happy that op from the Jake story is out of that situation, I'm so infuriated that they stayed and put up with that nonsense. Before people even start, I get it that some people's self esteem can just be in the trash and op was very young but omg this went from me feeling bad to the more they talked the more I was getting angry.
Exactly, at some point it was his fault for staying put and neglecting his own emotions, putting himself at risk and standing by as he’s disrespected; like he’s okay with it?? It honestly did way more harm for op then just leaving as soon as he cheated.
For my fellow RSlash folks out of the US. Rslasj is right. FedEx, UPS, USPS we don't normally have a problem with. The only problems we here in the US will encounter are packages that become lost, porch pirates, and scammers.

Re-delivery the next night (9pm) I waited; outside in a neon yellow shirt with a flashlight held over me and my bright blue hair. He still drove past, turned around and tried to leave it at a neighbors house. I had to yell three times to get his attention and his excuse was "he can't see my house number". 🙄😤
About the op who had problems with package deliveries: where I'm from, they do ring the bell, but if I take more than 5 second to get there, the mailman just yeet the package over the gate
4:11 Speak for yourself rSlash, here in Tennessee, this is _EXACTLY_ what UPS and FedEx does here….surprisingly, the *government* post office is actually slightly more reliable 😒

I’m in Cali and I definitely do. Our mailman is always pulling this stunt.
I'm in Brooklyn and my neighborhood definitely has problems with the postal service here. No notice or anything, if your package doesn't show up it's either stolen or at the post office, but going to the post office here sucks because it's always crowded and more often than not, you have to show up extremely early to even get to talk to anyone about your mail
"You're such a sweet couple"
I've grown to hate that phrase, when I tried to dump my first boyfriend. I knew I was asexual, however every single person tried to convince me that I just have to passionately hug him and I'll like it.

That's disgusting. Whoever says that should just be told to do the same with someone they'd never want to do it with in a million years. Then they'll know HALF of how that feels to hear.
Hey, I live in Ontario Canada! For expensive deliveries I don't want to miss, if someone is home, I put a note on the door to please knock loudly and leave the package behind/in (this item.) I was kinda hoping Dave and OP would end up together, living happily ever after
The mail story: Looks almost like Brazil, but the guy wouldn't be fired in the end if that happened over here.
How sad that this child in the last story is going through such terrible abuse. He's too young to be dealing with any of this. Already sleeping around and then being in this abusive relationship shows the lack of self esteem and bad upbringing. I hope he gets some therapy and is able to lead a healthy life.
Remember this about the second story: there is always a bigger fish
Honey; Jake was gaslighting you. That's abuse. In many places that sort of abuse is illegal.
Did anyone else think the last OP and David would end up together? Also, changing Jake’s mom’s name to OP’s name was a big brain move.
I really hoped that David and OP would hook up, David was so nice to OP!
I wanna see that on a movie plot twist one day. Villain calls to order something. Ominous silence. Then villains mom picks up.
I would still choose to go to pick up the parcels at the post office than just leaving them in porch which probably would just get stolen. That is just probably an american thing, since they are not allowed to leave parcels outside in porch in here.
Yep, I wish they would just leave notices, I’ve had hundreds of dollars of merchandise stolen due to them just leaving packages without bothering to try to alert me (in one case it even required a signature but they just forged it) and in a couple cases it was either the mailcarrier that stole it or someone else in the post office as it was a
Listed delivered but never was (I was watching)
My husband works for FedEx here in the US and I can say that he takes pride in doing his best to deliver the best service possible. However, stories about his coworkers confirm that these delivery people wash their hands of any responsibility of other people's property...
Jake story sounds like my first BF who would cheat on me as much as he could, I was young and got over it long time ago, but now if I get into a rship and they cheat, its over, no 2nd chance no matter how "sorry" they are. Dont put up with peoples shit, or let them treating you bad, you are worth so much more!
rSlash has never heard of the changing the name in the phone trick before? That's like one of the oldest phone tricks in the book!
Honestly Jake didin't deserve his mom
In Finland you by defualt have to retrieve your packages from the post office or alternative from one of their pickup points codelock lockers/shop counters, exactly for the reason so that postmen don't need to be running around trying to catch people or to leave packages to places where they might get stolen.
This is why it's so bizzare to me that some other countries have that delivery to the door step policy, that would make me paranoid that I'd have the schedule my day just for a package delivery.
Thank you for posting so early! It makes going to school so much better
The first story is why automation is king, people don't want to work period, let alone actually perform at an acceptable level.
These videos cheer me up every day
I purchased a pretty rare Bearded Dragon from a breader out west, I live in Tn. This breader does a really good job of packing and of course overnight shipping.
The day my Beardie was to arrive I of course made sure to be home and was literally sitting on my front porch. Now the box has large red tape with the words LIVE ANIMAL covering the box. The UPS driver pulls up and he goes to get my package. He fumbles the box and it falls to the ground. I was about to holler that it is a live animal when he scoops it up and literally tossed it to me. I holler at him asking what the hell are you doing. This is a live animal and you are throwing it around. He then kinda froze and had a O Crap look on his face. I was pissed and asked him if he knew how to Fn read, it says live animal all over the box. He said sorry as he sprinted back to the truck and took off.
My Beardie was fine, the way she packs them they are secure and cannot get banged around inside the box.
That was my first and only time buying a animal and having it shipped. I honestly did not think about the shipping company not handling the package with care. But based on just the delivery driver I doubt it very seriously. If bright red tape with black bold print everywhere dosen't get your attention then nothing will.
That second story hit hard. Thankfully it sounds like OP is doing way better, which is great! Hopefully, they will remember that people do care about them, and my best wishes to 'em going forward.
Jake, however, gets my sincerest F U. Sadly, something about how Jake started showing his true colors came off as this being the intention from the beginning, even moreso due to the ages.
The scam with leaving failed delivery notices is that they can charge you for a re-delivery if you cannot get to the office (which is often a long way away) to collect during working hours. That happens a lot here in the UK.
The second story, Tony is literally Big Tony
The last OP is brilliant. Making him insult his own mother is godlike revenge. I hope, that I never have to use it, but I have a new revenge tool in my 'box of youwillregretthis'.
Jake: *cheats on OP*
OP: *deletes OP's number from his phone and changed his mom's name to OP'S name*
Jake: *starts insulting*
Mom: *listen here you little ####*
David and OP: *haha yes, die b####*
I would've used the phone to text all the people he slept with *especially the step sibling* and say something along the lines of "I've just been to the doctor and I've been told to text everyone I've been intimate with so they can get tested" 😂
Imagine throwing it back and your bf is like “no one will ever love you, your sister is more successful than you, and youre the ugly friend”
My sister in law did the phone number thing with her ex, only it was his Army recruiters number she swapped with. Left him the day before I was supposed to finish his enlistment papers and take his oath. Strangely he didn't get into the Army after that.
The only thing I took from that Jake story is: “Everybody gay!”
The first story seems near universal. Though I will admit that it's not that bad where I live. Mostly, the delivery guys are just like ninjas, who silently put the packages on the doorstep and vanish. I wish they'd knock or something, since up until recently someone was almost always home at mail time, but at least they delivered them.(And we live out in the country, so little to no worry about porch pirates.)
However it's the occasions when I've ordered something internationally that piss me off. That stuff usually requires a signature, so if they can't get one they don't leave it and you have to swing by the post office. However, our mail carriers have a bad habit similar to the story of not even checking if someone's home before leaving the failure to deliver notice when it comes to these types of packages.
Luckily it hasn't happened the last couple times, and we've gotten new postal workers, so maybe somebody actually listened when we complained.
For the 1st story I can't see how his supervisor/postmaster or anyone in his office didn't notice anything weird with the mailman. The mailman would have been bringing every single parcel the he took out in the morning back to the office everyday. Idk maybe it works differently in that country but you have to scan each package when attemping to deliver a parcel and it would show in his logs. there is no way that not a single person was home to recieve a package along his whole route every single day.
I doubt he was doing it for every stop. It's probably just this particular neighborhood or apartment complex was constantly making him late due to no one ever being home or making him wait around so he said screw it, no one in this area is getting their stuff.
That last one had my blood boiling. That Jake creep must have marked OP as someone he could easily gaslight with a little patience, what with his relative youth and the damage from a neglectful parent, because there's no way that relationship was ever what it seemed. The "good" stage was just the bait. The guy was groomed by a narcissistic sociopath. I hope OP came out of that wiser and more wary. It's not his fault he got tricked into it and that he took so long to realize he didn't deserve it; that's the m.o. of a person like Jake. Abusers want control and he got it.
You’ve never heard of someone switching names/numbers on a phone as revenge? I thought it happened all the time, especially on Reddit
Personally, I'd prefer notice to pickup only. Helps combat porch pirates, and keeping my package safe is more important than taking time to pick up myself. A lot less work than filling a claim.
Delivery services, especially Royal Mail, are awesome in the UK. Just had alternator delivered I ordered yesterday late afternoon along with another small item ordered same time. One was DHL, other Royal Mail.
That's why I never pay online pay in cash so the mail people wait for eternity for me to pay and take my package lol
We most certainly do have this issue with package “delivery” in the US.
Pretty sure Tony is a big fish because he's a clever shark lol
Tony: You activated my trap card.
Story 1 sounds a lot like Canada Post. We were in the living room once and heard a thump on the front step. Opened the front door and the mailman was *literally* sitting on our step to write the notice.
He turned around, sighed “I guess you want your package, huh?”
“Sure do.”
Same thing. They never try to ring the doorbell here.

@@UNDEFINED1984 Can you expand on that?
HAH! PRICELESS! IN YOUR FACE, JAKE!
From what I know, most delivery companies outsource the actual delivery to some third party contractors who pay drivers not hourly but by how many packages they deliverd, which in turn incentivises such scummy behavior.
Or by how many 'attempts' they make, since it doesn't sound like they're actually delivering anything.

I never saw the driver, instead, from out of the view of my door, the game was just thrown at my door.
This has happened more times than I care to remember.
My Nintendo Switch and about 200$ of games was dumped on my doorstep when I wasn't even home.
It was "signature required" to boot.
My 1900$ computer was also "signature required" but thankfully I was waiting for it, the courier NEVER asked for my signature.

Judging by how no one knows where the mail story is I’m guessing it’s the same all over the world
I don't have that problem with my mail service, but I did have a porch pirate once. I had ordered some custom deodorant because I have allergies from a company called Native. Weed is legal where I'm from, and can be bought from indigenous reserves, particularly online during the pandemic. So this porch pirate one day sheepishly dropped off a package that said on the outside "Native. YAY! I'm here!" and claimed it had mistakenly been delivered to her house half the town away.
Imagine her surprise when she opened it thinking it was native reserve weed and it's just custom deodorant that says my name on it. 😂
4:13 UPS and every other delivery person. If you don't have a doorbell cam, expect a broken package.
rSlash, if Jake's mother had been a great person, she wouldn't have raised such a narcissist.
That first story about mailman sounds so much like Finland. We call them mail ninjas because even when you are at home, looking at the window with your phone on they still manage to just slip the "couldn't reach you, pick up your packet from post office". Sometimes they don't even bother taking your parcel with them and just say they tried to deliver when they never took it from the post office. They also pretty regularly lose your mail and deliver them damaged. I bought a violin and it arrived to me with a hole on the side of the box. Neighbor ordered contact lenses and the box was torn by scramming it to the mailbox where it didn't fit through the opening. The contact lense containers were scattered all over the box and the cover over the opening was bent from its hinges, luckily none of the seals on the lenses broke and the landlord dealt with the broken mailbox.
the first thing on my home page is always an RSlash video lol, it knows i’ve watched every video he’s ever made
In my country, the Post Office Courier service is *OBLIGED* to call ahead when making a delivery if the package includes such instructions beforehand. Therefore, if someone sends you something that way, all you have to do is ask the person/company sending it to include the instruction and it *WILL* be obeyed. No exceptions.
There are also similar provisions in place for companies offering courier services that if your delivery has a contact phone attached to it, they have to call ahead of delivery and *NEVER* while already on site.
Additionally, absolutely and without question, no one but direct family or people in the house the delivery is for can receive a package. No leaving them at doorsteps, with the neighbor, etc... Either be there yourself or have someone from your family receive the package or you get nothing. Three missed delivery attempts and you have to get the package at the nearest courier's stablishment.... Let a week pass and it will be deemed abandoned and if return instructions are included, returned to the sender and if there are any restocking fees... Welll...
we get a phone call when our packages come in so we could organize to get it. because we HAVE to sign our names on the packages or sometimes pay. This would get a person fired in a heartbeat.
Thought that OP and that David guy were getting together 🤣🤣😂
For the mail story, we 100% have that problem rslash. Also when you schedule redelivery, you'll be lucky if they notice
My postman does the same stuff. He doesn't ring the doorbell, just leaves a notice to get the package. Although I hated it in the beginning, I think it's a blessing in disguise - I live in walking distance to the post office and I don't have to worry about some guy coming in at any hour of the day. Also, I don't have to worry about package thieves. In my particular situation, it's a win-win.
No postal services is perfect. But hey, you can still try and get some revenge with it.
I live in Kansas and absolutely have that problem with USPS. I live in the country and they said the driveway was blocked multiple times or the mailbox was full. The exact time they said the mailbox was full I got the mail before heading into town. There was 1 single little letter in there. THAT'S IT!! The only times our driveway has been blocked was when we had heavy snow, which is rare the last few years, however it was summer when he claimed the driveway was blocked. All this mess started shortly after covid and after our mail carrier changed. If they said something like "to lessen contact we didn't deliver" I would've said "ok but that still means I have to drive all the way in town when your guy was just here. He was already in the building & now I have to come in to get the package he could've left. You have no idea if we have any of the issues the CDC said to be careful of nor do you care if we are worried" so we were quite angry that he was clearly not wanting to do his job.
Ken, Karen.... And.... The Kids...
XD
Dang
Sounds like the mailman story takes place in the Netherlands. We live at the end of the mailmens rounds, and they often do this. Either they ring the doorbell, wait for not even a second and leave, or just slip a notice on the letterbox without even ringing. Highly aggrevating, especially if you pay extra for delivery in the evening, and you still miss it.
At least you all get a notice. I wouldn't even know when I was supposed to receive my packages if I didn't track them. They leave nothing and force me to stand outside on day on delivery so they'll actually do their job
