      @@adorno1010 quick question. The two (automatic) transmission lines that go through the radiator are no longer needed correct? Do I just plug both lines? The s40 k4f trans I bought had zero sensors i.e. speed, reverse light. Ive already bought and installed the manual speed sensor but there is no pocket/receptacle on the trans for the reverse lights. Sorry if I'm not making sense.

      @@kentuckyblugrass no need to plug the lines and take a look at the other video and I show you where to wire the lights for reverse. if it doesn't have the sensor it's no big deal. you will just have to source one later on

    Can you still use the factory automatic ECU or would you need to get the ECU out of the manual donor car?

    • @adorno1010
      @adorno1010  ปีที่แล้ว

      I used the auto ecu for about a year before I switched. it will run and drive just not perfectly, and you might get a check engine light

    I just did it and now my car don’t start. Fuel pump ain’t priming. Don’t know if it’s has any correlation between ignition switch and fuel pump, though it started just fine then took out the cylinder and no start. Btw you don’t even need to remove the ignition switch to take out that cylinder. Just 3 screws that keeps the column cover attached, remove that to reveal the ignition switch and the white cover he’s talking about is right there. Not even a 5 min job

      Did you do the wiring mod where the automatic shifter goes?

      I also found out that if you remove the fuse for the ign I think it's a 10 amp fuse. That also allows the key to come out of the ignition

    if you find me on IG @slammed_sedans 9799 , , I followed your whole right up , and even did a walk thru , from watching your videos ....... but I ran into a problem I did my revers lights like you said but still have no reverse lights , ... I'd hit me up .

    • @adorno1010
      @adorno1010  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Charlie Johns check your fuses and light bulbs. besides that the only other two possibilities are a short in the wiring somewhere and the reverse selector switch on the transmission is bad. also make sure you have the right green wire because there's a bunch of them where the auto selector was

    • @illstartAfire
      @illstartAfire 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Right , I know I used the 2 middle wires of The top of the 2 black wires , and taped every thing else up , it has to be the switch in the trans , .... But on top of it all I blew a head gasket 3 days ago , so now I got to get on that . never stops ..... Hey man honesty your video helped me thru doing my swap to 5 speed , besides I had to find the piston thing under the column and cut out the floor , but you did a good job . ...when I made my videos I add a few things to it .. But honestly thank you

    I did the exact same thing & my car doesn’t turn over anymore

    • @adorno1010
      @adorno1010  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tommy Keo check all your grounds and make sure if you have a alarm that you re connect everyrhing how it was originally. Also check your fuses this type of work needs to be done with the battery disconnected. Doing it with battery still connected could have blown a fuse or a relay

    • @tommykeo7285
      @tommykeo7285 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      EJ8 SEDAN no alarm & I had the battery disconnected. When I first tried it check engine & brake light came on like usual but then I tried again no lights came on & it just clicks when turning the key

    • @adorno1010
      @adorno1010  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Tommy Keo sounds like a dead battery or faulty starter try starting it with jumper cables or tapping the starter it that doesn't work try pop starting it also make sure all your grounds are good...valve cover thermostat housing and trans
