Boonie hats! It's the only kind of hat I own! I only buy the kind that allows me to button the sides up, but i dont typically button them up. This keeps the sun out of my eyes and off my neck and ears. I were lighter colored ones in the summer when its hot. And my favorite trick is to dunk them in water and wear them wet to stay cool. And project farm is a must watch! ;)
John, You should wear that pith helmet every single day of the year even on Christmas!! If you truly want to become a LEGEND.....You have to do the stuff that legends DO!!!! There are lots of average white guys in NYC....Chesty Puller did not become a legend by doing average stuff! Wear that helmet and walk around proud! Think how proud the guys in your old platoon would be of you!
I wear a lot of hats because I live in SW Washington and it rains a lot. I usually have worn a baseball cap. But recently I've started wearing smaller cowboy style hats. I really like Pendleton wool hats. They keep the rain off of my glasses , my face, and my neck. I'm 70 now, so I don't care what anyone thinks. Give me all of the odd looks you want. 😂😂
A bit of trivia for you. Cockneys (from the East End of London) call hats 'titfers' Which is short for 'tit for tat = hat'. E.g. "hello mate, nice titfer you've got there." That machine looks like somethng you would see in a physiotherapists or beauty place. Like a treatment gun, ultrasound etc. Not sure, just what it looks like to me.
Hats! So we are going to talk about hats today. My Grandfather Nighswander wore a fedora. That was his Sunday hat. During the week his work hat was a captains billed cap like a bus driver would have worn. He was a Marine during the Spanish American war. No one was alive to ask when I went in search of his military record. Grampa Snyder wore a pith hat after he retired. It was his yard work hat. Most of the time he went hatless. My Dad wore a baseball cap all year round. In the mid 60's the foundry decided everyone needed steel toed shoes and bump caps. Dad wore one of those until Maintenance was singled out to wear a more durable bump cap so that became his most worn hat. I've worn baseball hats in little league, football helmets, bump caps, hard hats, motorcycle helmets, but my work hat is a golfing hat that i have been wearing a good 25 years. I started wearing it after I was working on the old workshop replacing the siding on what became the blacksmith shop. It was just after the hair styles changed and I had started getting my hair cut shorter. At the mature age of 40 I had decided that hair over my ears didn't fit with the image I wanted to project. I went out and put a full day in during the heat of summer. I fried the top of my ears. It was miserable with the blisters then the itching and not being able to sleep. What a mess. I bought the hat to keep the sun off my ears while they healed. I still had a blacksmith shop to finish. I wear a hat outside because I don't have any hair on top of my head. A couple friends ended up with skin cancer that kept coming back. That is something I have avoided. Grampa Snyder never had skin cancer. He had an original pith helmet. I had to look up and be sure of what it was made from. His was cork covered with cloth. US Wings claims they were covered with twill. I'll bet that's what Grampa's had. Wear your pith hat proudly. As long as I have gone this far I might as well mention that Lewie McNeely sent me a set of Coe's wrenches including a massive 24" one. I use mine because in Old Sneelock's Workshop, "If it doesn't work, it doesn't eat!" The drain plug on the Ford flat head six cylinder in the 8N it has a 2 1/4" or so drain plug. The mid size Coe's wrench does that easily. I'm guessing at the size because with a Coe's I don't need to know the exact size. It's a Fitsall wrench. After I watched you clean the Stanley rules I picked up a can of Barkeepers Friend at Walmart. $2.99 so not as good a deal as yours. Target is a 30 mile round trip so not worth burning 2 gallons of $3.75 a gallon gas to save $.99. Monday we drove down to Sturgis, MI. About 50 miles South by the Indiana border. Gas was $3.30 a gallon. $.45 cents a gallon more than it was in Kalamazoo. . Must be the extra shipping getting it up to Kazoo makes it more expensive. When I get the cleaning station set up for the rules I will try and go through my few insulators from the old knob and tube days. Your's turned out great. 😁😎
Dave- Honestly I miss those old days when a hat was part of your personality. I remember old timers wore the hat of their trades long after they retired. I welcome getting older because in my family we are all short lived so you better enjoy it while you can! 😂👍
On an electrical guy wire on a pole there used to be a ceramic insulator just bigger than your fist. It looked very much like the small white insulators you showed. When you start on the line crew there are many old jokes you play on the new linemen. Those insulators are sometimes called Johnny Balls. Just like your white insulator, the holes are 90° off from each other. You tell the newbie, I bet you $10 you can’t see through both eyes of the Johnny Ball.” They won’t take the bet because it sounds like a trick. So you hand them the part and let them try it - no bet. They turn it every which way trying to figure out if it can be done. And of course it cannot be done. Then you say, “I bet you a buck I can do it.” They take that bet. Then you take the Johnny ball and hold it in front of your face. Then you drop your arm you throw the insulator up and you spin it keeping it vertical. It gives the illusion when it’s spinning that you can see through both holes at the same time, of course no one pays off. But it sure is funny watching the new guy put the ball up to his face and try to look through those two holes.
In the early 1950s my dad went from working in a factory to buying and working a farm. For some reason, he wore a military surplus pith helmet those early farming years. The local farmers looked at him as kind of an "odd ball" because of it. Really enjoy your videos.
Agree with you on the dumb backwards hats. I used powerful heat guns in the aircraft interior factory every day. They are a wonderful tool with many surprising uses. I won’t go without one now.
Another great video. Years ago, a man in our small town had an insulator museum in a shed on his property. Project Farm is always interesting. I have a few, too. My plug-in Dewalt seems to outlast the cheaper ones. Bar Keepers Friend, I haven't tried on glass yet. I don't know how you managed to find all these objects in your house (small insulators); you must have a good system.
Man that was an ultrasound machine you should have snagged that for your "mad scientist" bit! Seriously you could have all kinds of fun with that thing! My daughter taught me a trick...if I dont know what something is I can use the Google image search feature. Its not always 100 percent accurate and sometimes I have to try it a few times, but it will get ya in the ballpark of what an unknown object is.

I wanted to tell you, when I was a kid we traveled on vacation a lot, mostly fishing, originating from Kentucky, to Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, Canada, etc., and my dad wore on of those hats,, for several years. I called them safari hats, because I seen them on TV shows. One time, I got sunburned bad enough to get sun poisoning, and he made me wear one of those hats for a few years.
if you ever run into a Ungar (later Weller) Princess (model 6966, I think) heat gun, get it if it still works. We had them all over the test area for test/repair purposes. They were used to heat up ICs in case they didn't work properly when hot, and to verify failures of that type at the system level. They were used for 14-16 hours a day, for years. They may look small and dainty, but they are very, very good heat guns. This was about 30 -35 years ago. The Master Heat gun looks like the type of heat gun that was used in the cabling area (we made our own wiring harnesses) for shrinking down heat shrink tubing *there was a curved attachment on the end of the nozzle that was used to shrink the tubing). Those guns, too, were industrial quality, and were in contant use for the same amount of hours as the Princess guns I was talking about. They got heavier use, and were only turned off when the second shift was over. They were higher volume air flow guns, and had a plate just like that to stand uprignt on a desk. I don't know what went on with the one that failed, but if it is the same manufacturer, that is a real shame.

It gets pretty hot a lot of the year here where I am in Nor Cal, and for a long time I had a pith helmet style hat that was made of some kind white hard mesh plastic, so it was breathable. But the trick part was it had a small solar panel on top, and a little fan above the front brim with a cutout hole so it moved air through the hat and out. As long as you were in the sun, the fan ran and cooled your head. Looked stupid, but worked fabulous! I had the coolest head at the camel races in Virginia City, Nv. one year. It eventually fell apart, and I try not to work outdoors when it's over about 90 anymore, so I didn't look for another one. Loved those old monkey wrenches, BTW!
I love me some monkey wrenches. Those turned out great! I gotta remember to pick up some bartenders friend. My favorite hat is a straw top hat. I don't have many opportunities to wear it though.
Years and years ago Sears bragged that their lawnmower’s would start first time every time. They bought commercial time on some widely watched sporting event and as luck would have it they pulled that rope to start the mower and nothing.😂

My heat gun works great but I do want to get one of the small ones just for heat shrink tubing, a lot less bulky and they're only about 5 Bucks on the discount sites.
That item you saw on the street looked like a steam cleaner. They’re used to clean/sanitize surfaces using steam. That one looked like it had a floor attachment and maybe a nozzle for cleaning in tight spaces around sinks /toilets/ bathtubs and such. Some of them even have attachments to steam wrinkles out of clothing. When you see stuff like this try to get a picture of the model number or manufacturers tag.
Ball caps on backwards drives me crazy. We had a pith helmet given to us when I was a kid. That was the jungle and Tarzan period, so we had lots of fun with that.

Yes, heat guns are very useful tools. Without one it would have taken forever to take off the old exterior window trim paint on my first house built in the 1920s. Hats are cool. I have it in the back of my mind to get a nice Panana hat for the summer. Those wrenches look great.
Project Farm is a GREAT channel, been watching for a while. I'm a electronics tech and use a Master heat gun everyday, been using the same one for the last 16 years!
I can tell you with convidence that the machine you found is an IPL machine. These machines are used for hair removal by use of a high intensity flash of light from a xenon tube in this "scanner" like head to destroy hair follicles. The thick hoses contain both thick gauge electrical conductors for the xenon flash tube, as well as tubes that circulate water to the head for cooling the xenon flashtube. These machines contain some serious hardware including a high voltage supply, serious capacitor bank and beefy triggers and switches for dumping the energy from the capacitor bank into the flash tube. I would have definately brought it home for the cool internals, but then again, i'm an electronics nut! ;) Great job on the wrenches!
Both the insulators and the wrenches came out great. Ii have all kinds of hats. Ii guess my favorites are a cowboy hat and a very old rabbit fur mad bomber.

Project farm is great because he’s got something different each time…most of the time it’s something you want to watch…those wrenches turned out nice…after 35 years wearing a hard hat I know it’s not even close to being my favorite…I’ll take a heavy wool sock hat in winter anytime…🖖
The device on the street is a steamer for home use to take wrinkles out of clothes. Hang the clothes on a hanger and gently pass the steam brush over the clothes to get rid of wrinkles.
The wrenches look quite similar (the jaws especially) to the old King Dick wrenches from UK. Eric from Hand Tool Rescue (You Tube) did a re-make of the old wrench, with a few modifications, a couple years ago and sells them. As a matter of fact, I bought 4 for my sons for Christmas and one for myself. Good quality and very strong. Even though each have a serial number and engraved with the channel name, it is on my tool wall and gets used often. I thought King Dick Tools had long been out of business, but no, they are still going strong and are well known for their quality. Thanks.
My Dad must have had a crush on Ingrid Bergman because when we watched For whom the bell tolls he pointed out how I need to find a girl like that. Later on I realized her attraction, if she looked into your eyes she could capture your heart.
Pith helmet looks great. I'm a big fan of just about any hat. I own some western styles and the newsboy caps. And of course plenty of ball caps. Interesting how often I wear a hat for function when I'm working at my property, but I still like them to have some style even if it's just to keep the sun off my head. I love the classic stetson dress hats, but haven't bought one. At age 69, I believe we can wear just about any kind of hat style we choose. Hats make a statement.
Hey, I still wear a flat cap in the winter. It's amazing the guys that wear a baseball cap backwards then shield their eyes from the sun. I've been using barkeepers for years, amazing how well it works. I have 3 of those wrenches from my father in-law, one about 6 inches that I need to bring back to user tools.
That is a Laser Hair Removal system. The trouble with researching that system is that there is a city in China called "Jiaxing" and if you look up the name, all you get is information on the city. Probably would have been nice resale.
To bad the element on the heat gun shorted out. I have replaced a few through the years. I keep an extra one. My opinion it’s still the best. Your bartenders friend is some good stuff. I cleaned a German tool made out of brass, I’m impressed. Never to old to learn a better way, thank you. Your wrenches look nice.
After watching all your heat shrink tubing videos doing wire repair I finally went to Harbor Freight and bought a heat gun. I'll admit, I paused watching at 4:50 and switched over to see the heat gun crap out! Wow! PF has 3.13M subscribers. I bet a QA department was forced to watch also!
That heat gun you got from Harbor freight is great! Works great and will come in very handy! Once you use it for heat shrink tubing once you will wonder how you ever lived without it. 😃👍
I wear a Stetson Open Road almost everyday. I have one in silver felt and one in pecan. During the warmer months I have a couple of different colored straw Open Roads that I wear.
For dirty work in the sun I wear a USN utility cammie cover. In the sun if I am staying clean I wear a USN ball cap. Often go capless. Always remove my cover indoors. Backward people wear backwards hats. I always watch PF. I hope he gives you a shout-out. Great video. I put more BKF on my shopping list.
I have my father's USMC pith helmet too. It looks slightly different from yours. He got this later in life and it was not issued to him It remind me of the 1942 Wake Island movie
Great restoration on those wrenches. The large one even seemed to have some nice marbling on the wood handle. Your new pith helmet looks great. I remember reading a book about a recruit at Paris Island in WWII they had pith helmets and if they weren't worn straight the D.I. would hammer them down over their eyes and ears with his fist! He said there were always some of them walking blindly around and running into each other. I wear ball caps (bill in front) and during the cold weather knit caps.
Ball caps they're only good for baseball that's what I used them for when I played baseball. So stupidly out of place otherwise makes everyone look like a moron that wears one! unless you're on the ball field. eagle

Pith helmet is great. Possibly some folk wear baseball caps backwards to prevent a sunburnt neck. I suspect that much thought didn't go into it though. It's why I like a hat with the brim all the way round.
I am a retired linoleum layer My Roberts heat gun is similar to the Master heat gun. The pro heat guns turned up heat up to 1200 degrees. Mine is 25 years old and still works great. They last a long time if you cool off the element before turning them off. As for the Master heat gun, I think you are right poor QC.
No idea what the gadget is unless it's something for medical use. Some hospice places send out some complicated gadgets. One of the most simple insulaters you don't see any more are the ones for electric fences. I had a whole bucket before moving to AZ and they were sold. Don't see that many any more. As to hats I have quite a few. I have some nice fur felt western hats including a Stetson with the cowhand watering his horse as well as one from Australia. I don't think there is a give me hat any more. I have at least 3 flat caps, a Fedora, 3 straw hats, although the one cowboy hat has to be replaced as it is pretty much worn out. I have a cap like all the service caps when we were young. Police, firemen, milk man even gas station attendents. A Jeep cap for winter (imagine that) as well as a Stormy Kromer. Yes I have a pith helmet that is a type of straw that I bought from a forestry company. It fits like a hard hat. I use it for lawn work in the summer as it is the coolest as in it catches the lightest breeze. Oh I have 3 hard hats. There are more in my collection including a Ushanka. Yes I wear them all depending on the weather and what I am doing. I need a Bowler and a Homburg in the future.
Crushable wool felt outback hat. I wear it all winter, got it at Cabela's a few years ago. The brim is great for keeping snow off my glasses and my bald head warm. Ball cap in the summer for sun protection on the same bald head.
The wrenches look terrific. Well done. My favourite hat is a canvas sailing hat. Soft and wide brim all the way round. Mine has ties to hold on the head. I presently use it when mowing the lawn so I do not get sunburned neck. Dave.

My farming grandfather always wore a flatcap. I've inherited most of them and treasure them. I think they're so cool. They're my size as well (they actually used to be sold in sizes, nothing adjustable). My other truck driving grandfather couldn't stand the feeling of a hat or cap, I inherited that from his side I'm sure. So I can never really wear my inherited flat caps.
Project Farm is a very informative channel, The Coe wrenches turned out super, I was glad to see the wood handles were all in good shape. I always wanted a campaign hat, but since I never earned one, I simply can't get one.

Another great video. Years ago, a man in our small town had an insulator museum in a shed on his property. Project Farm is always interesting. I have a few, too. My plug-in Dewalt seems to outlast the cheaper ones. Bar Keepers Friend, I haven't tried on glass yet. I don't know how you managed to find all these objects in your house (small insulators); you must have a good system.

Man that was an ultrasound machine you should have snagged that for your "mad scientist" bit! Seriously you could have all kinds of fun with that thing! My daughter taught me a trick...if I dont know what something is I can use the Google image search feature. Its not always 100 percent accurate and sometimes I have to try it a few times, but it will get ya in the ballpark of what an unknown object is.
The first people that saw turn their caps backwards was our welders when they put their helmets on

I wanted to tell you, when I was a kid we traveled on vacation a lot, mostly fishing, originating from Kentucky, to Tennessee, Florida, South Carolina, Canada, etc., and my dad wore on of those hats,, for several years. I called them safari hats, because I seen them on TV shows. One time, I got sunburned bad enough to get sun poisoning, and he made me wear one of those hats for a few years.
if you ever run into a Ungar (later Weller) Princess (model 6966, I think) heat gun, get it if it still works. We had them all over the test area for test/repair purposes. They were used to heat up ICs in case they didn't work properly when hot, and to verify failures of that type at the system level. They were used for 14-16 hours a day, for years. They may look small and dainty, but they are very, very good heat guns. This was about 30 -35 years ago.
The Master Heat gun looks like the type of heat gun that was used in the cabling area (we made our own wiring harnesses) for shrinking down heat shrink tubing *there was a curved attachment on the end of the nozzle that was used to shrink the tubing). Those guns, too, were industrial quality, and were in contant use for the same amount of hours as the Princess guns I was talking about. They got heavier use, and were only turned off when the second shift was over. They were higher volume air flow guns, and had a plate just like that to stand uprignt on a desk. I don't know what went on with the one that failed, but if it is the same manufacturer, that is a real shame.

It gets pretty hot a lot of the year here where I am in Nor Cal, and for a long time I had a pith helmet style hat that was made of some kind white hard mesh plastic, so it was breathable. But the trick part was it had a small solar panel on top, and a little fan above the front brim with a cutout hole so it moved air through the hat and out. As long as you were in the sun, the fan ran and cooled your head. Looked stupid, but worked fabulous! I had the coolest head at the camel races in Virginia City, Nv. one year. It eventually fell apart, and I try not to work outdoors when it's over about 90 anymore, so I didn't look for another one. Loved those old monkey wrenches, BTW!
My father wore a pith helmet when working outside. Called it his "bring 'em back alive" hat after Frank Buck's Bring 'em back alive safari show.

My heat gun works great but I do want to get one of the small ones just for heat shrink tubing, a lot less bulky and they're only about 5 Bucks on the discount sites.
That item you saw on the street looked like a steam cleaner. They’re used to clean/sanitize surfaces using steam. That one looked like it had a floor attachment and maybe a nozzle for cleaning in tight spaces around sinks /toilets/ bathtubs and such. Some of them even have attachments to steam wrinkles out of clothing. When you see stuff like this try to get a picture of the model number or manufacturers tag.
Bar keepers friends is great for my copper pits and pans the monkey wrenches came out great good. Used tools
Ball caps on backwards drives me crazy. We had a pith helmet given to us when I was a kid. That was the jungle and Tarzan period, so we had lots of fun with that.
I keep putting the British Pith helmet in my Amazon Cart, only to take it back out a few weeks later; then put it back in. I really would like to get one. Maybe this summer.

Yes, heat guns are very useful tools. Without one it would have taken forever to take off the old exterior window trim paint on my first house built in the 1920s. Hats are cool. I have it in the back of my mind to get a nice Panana hat for the summer. Those wrenches look great.

Project Farm is a GREAT channel, been watching for a while. I'm a electronics tech and use a Master heat gun everyday, been using the same one for the last 16 years!

I can tell you with convidence that the machine you found is an IPL machine. These machines are used for hair removal by use of a high intensity flash of light from a xenon tube in this "scanner" like head to destroy hair follicles. The thick hoses contain both thick gauge electrical conductors for the xenon flash tube, as well as tubes that circulate water to the head for cooling the xenon flashtube.
These machines contain some serious hardware including a high voltage supply, serious capacitor bank and beefy triggers and switches for dumping the energy from the capacitor bank into the flash tube.
I would have definately brought it home for the cool internals, but then again, i'm an electronics nut! ;)

Project farm is great because he’s got something different each time…most of the time it’s something you want to watch…those wrenches turned out nice…after 35 years wearing a hard hat I know it’s not even close to being my favorite…I’ll take a heavy wool sock hat in winter anytime…🖖

The device on the street is a steamer for home use to take wrinkles out of clothes. Hang the clothes on a hanger and gently pass the steam brush over the clothes to get rid of wrinkles.
The wrenches look quite similar (the jaws especially) to the old King Dick wrenches from UK. Eric from Hand Tool Rescue (You Tube) did a re-make of the old wrench, with a few modifications, a couple years ago and sells them. As a matter of fact, I bought 4 for my sons for Christmas and one for myself. Good quality and very strong. Even though each have a serial number and engraved with the channel name, it is on my tool wall and gets used often. I thought King Dick Tools had long been out of business, but no, they are still going strong and are well known for their quality. Thanks.

Pith helmet looks great. I'm a big fan of just about any hat. I own some western styles and the newsboy caps. And of course plenty of ball caps. Interesting how often I wear a hat for function when I'm working at my property, but I still like them to have some style even if it's just to keep the sun off my head. I love the classic stetson dress hats, but haven't bought one. At age 69, I believe we can wear just about any kind of hat style we choose. Hats make a statement.

That is a Laser Hair Removal system. The trouble with researching that system is that there is a city in China called "Jiaxing" and if you look up the name, all you get is information on the city. Probably would have been nice resale.

To bad the element on the heat gun shorted out. I have replaced a few through the years. I keep an extra one. My opinion it’s still the best. Your bartenders friend is some good stuff. I cleaned a German tool made out of brass, I’m impressed. Never to old to learn a better way, thank you. Your wrenches look nice.

After watching all your heat shrink tubing videos doing wire repair I finally went to Harbor Freight and bought a heat gun.
I'll admit, I paused watching at 4:50 and switched over to see the heat gun crap out! Wow! PF has 3.13M subscribers. I bet a QA department was forced to watch also!
That heat gun you got from Harbor freight is great! Works great and will come in very handy! Once you use it for heat shrink tubing once you will wonder how you ever lived without it. 😃👍
I wear a Stetson Open Road almost everyday. I have one in silver felt and one in pecan. During the warmer months I have a couple of different colored straw Open Roads that I wear.
For dirty work in the sun I wear a USN utility cammie cover. In the sun if I am staying clean I wear a USN ball cap. Often go capless. Always remove my cover indoors. Backward people wear backwards hats. I always watch PF. I hope he gives you a shout-out. Great video. I put more BKF on my shopping list.

Great restoration on those wrenches. The large one even seemed to have some nice marbling on the wood handle. Your new pith helmet looks great. I remember reading a book about a recruit at Paris Island in WWII they had pith helmets and if they weren't worn straight the D.I. would hammer them down over their eyes and ears with his fist! He said there were always some of them walking blindly around and running into each other. I wear ball caps (bill in front) and during the cold weather knit caps.
Ball caps they're only good for baseball that's what I used them for when I played baseball. So stupidly out of place otherwise makes everyone look like a moron that wears one! unless you're on the ball field. eagle

WONDERFUL between the wrenches and the insulators! And Commander Todd does a fine job and the heat gun that died used to be the STANDARD that everybody had and used. I just used my torch. Pith helmet is great. Possibly some folk wear baseball caps backwards to prevent a sunburnt neck. I suspect that much thought didn't go into it though. It's why I like a hat with the brim all the way round.
I am a retired linoleum layer My Roberts heat gun is similar to the Master heat gun. The pro heat guns turned up heat up to 1200 degrees. Mine is 25 years old and still works great. They last a long time if you cool off the element before turning them off. As for the Master heat gun, I think you are right poor QC.

No idea what the gadget is unless it's something for medical use. Some hospice places send out some complicated gadgets. One of the most simple insulaters you don't see any more are the ones for electric fences. I had a whole bucket before moving to AZ and they were sold. Don't see that many any more. As to hats I have quite a few. I have some nice fur felt western hats including a Stetson with the cowhand watering his horse as well as one from Australia. I don't think there is a give me hat any more. I have at least 3 flat caps, a Fedora, 3 straw hats, although the one cowboy hat has to be replaced as it is pretty much worn out. I have a cap like all the service caps when we were young. Police, firemen, milk man even gas station attendents. A Jeep cap for winter (imagine that) as well as a Stormy Kromer. Yes I have a pith helmet that is a type of straw that I bought from a forestry company. It fits like a hard hat. I use it for lawn work in the summer as it is the coolest as in it catches the lightest breeze. Oh I have 3 hard hats. There are more in my collection including a Ushanka. Yes I wear them all depending on the weather and what I am doing. I need a Bowler and a Homburg in the future.

Crushable wool felt outback hat. I wear it all winter, got it at Cabela's a few years ago. The brim is great for keeping snow off my glasses and my bald head warm. Ball cap in the summer for sun protection on the same bald head.

My favourite hat is a canvas sailing hat. Soft and wide brim all the way round. Mine has ties to hold on the head. I presently use it when mowing the lawn so I do not get sunburned neck.

Always enjoy wearing the Glengarry bonnet, especially back when I played tenor drum in a bagpipe band. The drum major had a pith helmet I admired. Great Coe's wrench cleanup for service.

My farming grandfather always wore a flatcap. I've inherited most of them and treasure them. I think they're so cool. They're my size as well (they actually used to be sold in sizes, nothing adjustable). My other truck driving grandfather couldn't stand the feeling of a hat or cap, I inherited that from his side I'm sure. So I can never really wear my inherited flat caps.
