Props to the piccolo for basically playing his/her solo perfectly, also that trombone solo absolutely filled my soul... Flugelhorn was absolutely insane too, Hebron always manages to have some of the most talented kids in the country
Doesn’t matter the placement. Hebron Band and Guard killed it this year. This show has to be the hardest show Hebron has ever done. Harder music, harder drill, harder guard work and all these kids have earned being one of the top bands in the nation. I’m SUPER PROUD of them all especially my senior guard captain who has had a phenomenal run these four years with this band program. How blessed we are to have her be a part of it and it shape her into the amazing young woman she is. I love you, Mycca, and all my other guard babies! All in all the time! Hawk pride never dies! 💙🖤🤍🫡⛵️🏝️
Perfectly stated. And please let your kiddo know that the guard is absolutely brilliant and amazing. My first time seeing you all was at 2019 Super Regionals as a brand new band parent and then we had a blast with you all at Nationals same year. Our kids have really enjoyed Hebron and the new friends they have met at the competitions these past years. We may be 200+ miles away but big Hawk fan here!!!!
They were amazing as always. It is indeed subjective and unfortunately, today just wasn't their day. You should be very proud of your kid! Ignore the negative trolls that tend to pop up.
Everything about this show is amazing. The woodwinds 16th note runs (I am a clarinet player myself), the brasses double tonging features, the soloists, and the design. I definitely agree that this is the hardest marching band show I have ever seen played. Clarity was also super on point in every way. Well done Hebron!
Absolutely LOVE Hebron and we look forward to seeing them each and every year. Fact is any of these bands can hit the mark on any given day and results for BOA, UIL, etc. are subjective judging. What we all know being Texas band families is that all of these kids competing worked their tails off and gave us all spectacular show after show after show. Hebron is super. They always bring the best and all of us in Texas are blessed when we get to finally enjoy the Hebron performances. Great win in BOA Super Regional Saturday and well deserved. As for State UIL....any of the 6A Medals are tremendous accomplishments. Even making State and then Finals. Long after any medals of any placement are in sock drawers years and years from now...our kids will remember their hard work, their band team, the friends they made from other bands, and that their families and friends were in the stands each and every time. Will say that I personally LOVE the Hebron uniforms and plumes. Just so sharp and they are my most favorite of any I have seen in Texas and at BOA Nationals! Hebron did not lose this week. They always win in my opinion because they touch and inspire so many. Hardware is secondary at best...would argue tertiary. Be very, very, very proud of your Hebron kiddos. We are all the time! Cannot wait until next year to enjoy this talented group of young adults!
I am blown away by the technical and artistical level of this band! It is unbelivable that this is a high school band! All of the solos were stunning! The dynamics and balance of the band is impecable!
Amazing group of kids and have totally bought in 100%. They are so cohesive and in sync. GREAT JOB by the leaders of this band. They do this performance beautifully!
Richer schools usually perform UIL shows based on whatever corps is popping that year. When I was in school everybody was doing The Planets because of the Cavaliers...
So my wife and I went to the competition and ALL the bands were amazing. The hours these kids put into an eight minute performance is crazy. For you football fans, its like practicing only one play every single practice :) With that being said, I think 4 bands march in formation for majority of their program and not just jump on and off props. Hebron, Vandegrift, Woodlands and Flower Mound. I think Flower Mound and Woodlands have the most entertaining programs but Vandegrift nailed their formations. Their lines and diagonals were crazy. Now all the bands were sick, some more than others, and they all had gaps. The right team won because they nailed their performance when it counted. Just my humble opinion.
Personally I think Hebron should've gotten first place at state, not only that but if they would've gone to BOA Grand Nationals they probably would've gotten first too, they kicked serious butt this year and last year too and in my opinion are the best band in the entire country for two years straight at least (I haven't seen many of this bands shows). However, the fact that a band got first over Hebron just goes to show how tough Texas mb competition is, I'm from Indiana so I have to compete with Carmel and Avon (top two bands at Grand Nationals this year) but Texas is just on another level.
Last year they were tied with one other band just because their shows were so different it’s hard to compare yet clearly we’re on an insane level. But this year they took the cake. Sadly a slightly dirtier finals run caused the tie in finals in my opinion. I love their hard work I just don’t appreciate some of the more toxic community members who ruin it for everyone else. I hope hebron continues to have love and support for many years to come
this was 8 months ago, but i still wanna say something 😊 as a texan who’s in an amazing marching school (humbly), yes texas is super competitive, but our brother up north is you guys! both texas and indiana are crazy competitive for marching band, you guys rock!
Hebron definitely got robbed of first place this year in my opinion. Whatever the score or placing may be, Hebron will always be the winners! These students and the staff are amazing at what they do
this is absolutely the greatest high school marching band show i’ve ever seen! i don’t understand how they got second at uil. in my opinion, they obliterated the competition there
Starts with the middle school directors and private lesson teachers, ends with Mr. Sealy (the head director). It’s an all encompassing program starting from 6th grade to 12th. Mr.Sealy includes the middle schoolers so the kids are invested early on.

@@aidencollins2341 Yes, that’s correct.

For all those who don’t know, they actually tied for first and the judges gave first to Vandergrift.

Definitely a Blucoats inspired show! Love it!! Great job all!
Their design team is basically blue devils

I saw this as more of a metamorph/Dreams and Nighthawks ballad type show. Blue devils feels more right to me.

those momma cries at the end❤🥺congrats to your daughter, the guard and the rest of the band :)) so amazing to see this live!!!
If I saw this band for the first time and if someone told me this was a drum corp, I would believe it.
until you get to the woodwind features
Marching Band Nerd Until the woodwinds take the field, and they get a penalized for being over the DCI limit of 165 members.
How does no one talk about the flugelhorn soloist hes so good
There are more students in this band than there are in my entire high school.
If you took out the woodwinds, this could actually be a solid DCI corps...
Scarrrz At best, they place 5th at Open Class Finals.
They sampled The Weeknd’s Dawn FM intro that’s sickk 🙌
