Suggestion from Arkansas duck boat world: Consider incorporating a kick-up function and try to get to about 1 foot of travel. You need more vertical travel to get the lower unit up high enough in shallow water. 5 or 6 inches is nice but not nearly enough and you could set your product apart from the others.
Thanks for video…why do you have the white board on the transom. No mention of that. Also,I do not see Evinrude or Johnson motors listed on chart on website.I have an older Evinrude.
What if the plate does have more left and right play than it should? not much but like a 1/4 to 3/8” how can you get rid of that? I’m installing one soon and mine has that play in it.
Hello, since there is not a round bar in the top of part of the jack plate going from side to side it can do that before installation. You can just push the 2 sides together at the top to bring in the gap. Please give us a call or shoot us an email with any questions you may have. Thank you!
@@ledzep301 yes that is normal, it can’t be super tight because it needs to be able to turn easily. Of course, if you have any more questions please feel to reach out!
There is 5 1/2 inches of travel but there is also different mounting positions where the jack can mount inside the plate to get about 6-8 inches above the transom at max height.
@ontheflyjackplates875 I have a mid 80s mariner 40 on and ancient early 60's richline vhull. Problem is the mariner 40 came off a pontoon boat so it's a longshaft. I need about 5in of rise minimum. Do these jackplates work with Mariner clamp-style outboards?
Nice looking jack plate
Thank you!

Just picked one up for my skiff. Should add some great versatility to it.
Make a video installing the electric plate and how to wire it up.
We will make a video of that as well. Thanks!
Thank you@@ontheflyjackplates875
your lower holes were not drilled straight due to the round bar
Is this only for tiller motors? I want one but I have a center console.
Hello, we also make electric units as well but we have had plenty of customers put our manual plates on remote steer boats.
do you have an option with a kick and jack?
I have a question. Is this Jack Plate suitable for 20-inch shaft motors attached to a 20-inch transom?
Yes it sure is!

Olá, sou do Brasil, teria como enviar pra cá? E qual valor ficaria?
Quero comprar esse kit como faço sou do Brasil?
Do you have the link to that motor stand?
It’s a cheap motor stand from Amazon. I probably wouldn’t recommend unless you have a really small motor. It’s not very sturdy.
Available to ship to Canada?
Sure is!! You can order directly through our website.
Is the top of where u mount the crank handle suppose to have some play in it?
The actual handle? Or the the top part of the jack where you mount it into the jack plate?
@@ontheflyjackplates875 just the handle I got it put together and the handle has a little tiny bit of play but honestly I think it should be ok
Or maybe the handle assembly I should say

Did you ever figure it out ? I’m having the same problem.
What is the overall travel from top to bottom?
