    I truly admire him; stood up for what he believed. Even though my ancestry is of the protestant North; my specific line descended from the scribe for the Duke of Antrim during the Presbyterian Settlements!!

    R.I.P michael Collins, being from the six counties i think Collins definitely seen the treaty as just a stepping stone and the northern brigade's new it, as he was apparently still arming them for a while and had sanctioned the hit on sir Henry Wilson. He was played, unfortunately by the Machiavellian politicians, IE david Lloyd George, Birkenhead and Éamon de valera etc.

      @@MarkHarrison733 Nothern Ireland was only created one year roughly before his death. As far as I'm aware the Nothern brigade's where mostly in support of the treaty at the start. Collins was behind the shooting of Henry Wilson in retaliation for the Belfast pogroms that where happening to the catholic community in the new six county state.

    Collins wasn’t tall - 5’10” - but he looks tall compared to most in this film.
    He called the ‘Big Fellow’ because of his character. He was that.
