I just realized for the QRRRP combo you need to move a little after the Quick shot to reset the counter and that enables you to actually do the 3 rapid shots.

I know this is years later, but Q>R>R>R>P has a better replacement that I've almost never heard anyone talk about. Q>R>R>P is actually better even when you have the mighty bow jewel, you want to be skipping that lv 4 rapid shot. The reason is the 4th rapid shot consumes MUCH more stamina and has a MUCH longer recovery than the other levels of rapid shots, and by skipping this you are also performing more quickshots and lv 4 power shots over time due to Q>R>R>P taking less time to perform. This combination of less lv 4 rapid shots that consume a ton of stamina, and more quickshots that recover stamina over time leads to much more efficient stamina usage. The increased amount of power shots over time supplements the damage loss of the lv 4 rapid shot, the difference in DPS between Q>R>R>R>P and Q>R>R>P is about only 2.3% dps loss. However, from this 2.3% dps loss for more stamina we can now perform MUCH more dash dances throughout the fight which increases your overall dps. Obviously you will sometimes still use the lv 4 rapid because of punish windows on certain moves the monsters do just won't have a better punish replacement. But the point is to when possible avoid lv 4 rapid shots and squeeze in more dash dances with the extra stamina. Additionally, the increased time spent recovering stamina from more quickshots over time means stamina surge has more value than before as long as you can fit in enough dash dances to be consuming that extra stamina.

Thanks for that video! :) I personally use a lot of DPDPDP (dash and powershots) when I‘m dash dancing since i found out that this combo almost always leads to a flinch or a stagger when I‘m dash dancing even before my stamina gets too low.. i have a feeling it wasn‘t that common to flinch/stagger the monster with DRPDRP. What do you think about this?
400+ hunts with bow, yet I don't know you can remove 1 Rshot from combo and still work just fine lol shame on me. Thank you for the guide sir. I might try and practice with this. Btw, what do you think about a set combo consist of QRPRP QRRRP DD? I usually use this combo when the monster is down, and by the time the monster get up, my combo is done right at the last DD animation.
Silver Winter yes that’s fine. Usually my rotation is either qrrrp dash rp dash p qrrrp, or qrrrp x3. But whatever works for you as long as it’s consistent!

@@BrokoFankone I would for sure recommend flinch free at least in multiplayer. If you can’t have your teammate tenderize for you, then use shaver also. In late game you’ll have enough space to fit both no problem without sacrificing much

At this point I have all of the builds in your final fatalis update video sorted out for each element/raw (most are comfort and a couple are the dps variant), and I still don't know which gems to take out for both Shaver and FF, haha. But in theory, people in coop do tenderize so FF sounds like it will be more useful without having to slot shaver as well. Thanks again for the reply :)
Hey, TIL that QRRRP is the combo for downs, and not dash dancing. When taking advantage of the clagger, is it worth it to do the claw latch on and then drop off, or should it just be the claw latch into weapon attack?

Andy Gianto spam you mean like multiples times in a row? I start a combo with quickshot often to not waste stamina but it does very poor damage so i wouldn’t recommend spamming it by itself
I'm in the training area as i watch this, fatalis bow in hand. I keep trying dash dance. If I dodge right after a power shot I keep a full charge? Seems to work sometimes but other times my charge drops. Usually start out QDRP into DRPDRP repeat until lower stamina. Back when I first started I mainly just mashed circle. I considered focus lv3 but it didn't seem to make the bow charge faster.
Focus only works if you hold the arrow to charge it which you should never do. Yes if you dash right after shooting you’ll either increase your charge level, or maintain it if it’s maxed out. If you drop it’s most likely because you do it too late
There really isn’t one. Even thousands dragons has multiple arrows so only 1 will have double damage. Your best bet is to get a wallbang, or if you’re online, let your teammates do it

And no im not pressing Q+R together ive literally tested it multiple times any advice? The only way i can avoid this is if i let my character recover from the powershot
Yea if you try to do 2 power shot in a row you’ll do an arc shot. Best way to not do it is to input a direction and let your character start to take a step before you start a new combo

What about arc shot? Bow's stunning tool? As in, following up a full charged Power Shot into an Arc Shot, back to a full charge Power, to an Arc, etc. Unless the DPS that comes from Rapid Fire far outweighs the knockdown you get from it
Realistically if you use it, it will only be a couple of times on a monster that is standing still to get 1 ko. (And on endgame figjts it takes way more than 2). And in multiplayer the KO threshold is so high that I don’t recommend using it at all. It’s good on some situation in solo, but if you’re trying to KO, the impact mantle is much much better. (It’s one of the best mantle for bow on most fights)

i did a full charged shot into power shot every single rotation prior to this video, sometimes weaving in dragon piercer and thousand dragons .. didn't even know rapid was a thing (starting nergigante soon) i feel dumb
@@homersimpson5501 you can technically tell by the color of the glow on the weapon, but I find it easier to just count. Eventually as you get used to it you’ll where what level you’re on at all times
kristianmag i think you mean QRPRP. It’s not bad, it’s just not as good as before. But it’s not like it became terrible lol. If you do mean QPRP then yea, that’s not good lol
@@LyonOlivier69 I do mean QPRP. In vanilla, somebody tested it against QRPRP and concluded that while QPRP has less damage than QRPRP, it has higher DPS overall. I don’t know how that changed in Iceborne (like how you said that power shot 3 was nerfed).

Zeduria DRP is mote efficient. You should always do it if timing allows. It the opening is too short then just go for DP

Bow Charge Plus gets you to lvl 4.

so i have this issue whenever i aim i cant use the macro button together for example i cant do quickshot while aiming. What should i do ?

Claw attack bcoz u do some damage, ur bow is already drawn when u come down, also prime the part for another tenderize
you can start the fight by clawing, punching 3 times then doing your weapon attack and it'll create a weakspot, otherwise it takes two claws

niwdlab14 yes, i usually hold a direction after a powershot an wait until my character does one step. That’s when you can do a quickshot

Thousand dragons is never optimal. You can use it for fun, but it’s never the best option

You can do a spread after a quickshot and just wait and do it again. But i don't recommend it, it was just for the sake of demonstration

What about arc shot? Bow's stunning tool? As in, following up a full charged Power Shot into an Arc Shot, back to a full charge Power, to an Arc, etc.
Unless the DPS that comes from Rapid Fire far outweighs the knockdown you get from it
Realistically if you use it, it will only be a couple of times on a monster that is standing still to get 1 ko. (And on endgame figjts it takes way more than 2). And in multiplayer the KO threshold is so high that I don’t recommend using it at all. It’s good on some situation in solo, but if you’re trying to KO, the impact mantle is much much better. (It’s one of the best mantle for bow on most fights)

You’re probably missing mighty bow jewel, it’s a very important decoration. It adds an additional charge to your bow

i did a full charged shot into power shot every single rotation prior to this video, sometimes weaving in dragon piercer and thousand dragons .. didn't even know rapid was a thing (starting nergigante soon) i feel dumb

@@homersimpson5501 you can technically tell by the color of the glow on the weapon, but I find it easier to just count. Eventually as you get used to it you’ll where what level you’re on at all times

@@LyonOlivier69 I do mean QPRP. In vanilla, somebody tested it against QRPRP and concluded that while QPRP has less damage than QRPRP, it has higher DPS overall. I don’t know how that changed in Iceborne (like how you said that power shot 3 was nerfed).
