That was insane. Thanks for sharing Michael.

Would a shape such as this be beneficial for an IMM brush? i'm guessing I would have to lower the polycount

    Thanks Michael, awesome series!
...I don't see a way to change the center axis of the radial symmetry. I have an irregular sub tool with a cylinder coming out one side. I want to make the center of that cylinder the center axis for the radial symmetry in the project primitive operation. I even isolated the face of the cylinder and set the transform > set pivot, still, the project primitive symmetry axis always tends to be the center of the base object.
Is it possible to change the center axis?
    Thanks!

So, after some more fiddling around with this, looks like before you initiate the Project Primitive, while in move mode, if you unlock and move the home pivot (house icon) to where you want the center pivot to be and then add the Project Primitive, it will center around that home pivot.
Now, to figure out how to automatically center that home pivot to a poly group or mask center...

That'll work (you're essentially moving your object to put a specific point on the world 0 0 0, and once you're done with your arbitrary raidial symmetry, you can go to tool > geometry > Position and 0 out all of your values to get it back to where you started). To center your pivot to a polygroup / masked center, just unmask a polygroup selection, or make a mask then invert it, then click the gizmo teardrop shape (go to unmasked mesh center), or tool - masking - go to unmasked mesh center

@@MichaelPavlovich Ah, didn't know about the mask/poly selection method. When I do this (make a mask on a subtool > invert > switch to move to get the gizmo buttons > click the upside-down teardrop) it does move the pivot to the center of that mask, however when I then apply a Project Primitive, it resets back to the center of the overall subtool.

Zbrush is beautiful 👌👌👌 Its expensive but very worth it. (ive used it, but didnt buy it, 500€ lol still cheaper than maya, 3000€ i think). Wow, actually its 800€ for comercial and 500€ for students, damn, i think years ago it was cheaper, not sure tho.

I bought it in 2010 and haven't paid for an upgrade since...it's paid for itself years ago. :D

I'd probably end up using the polygroups to guide zremesher: th-cam.com/video/xLLh7wyPov4/w-d-xo.html
