@@GhostWatcher2024it's not completely a reference to Animal Farm as Ren is using various references within this video but the rules on the wall at the beginning are definitely affiliated with George Orwell's Animal Farm, it's a twist on the commandments the pigs wrote for all the animals to live by.❤
In the scene with the sexualized women... he is pulling AWAY from them symbolizing his rejection of said misogyny and oversexualization of women... in my opinion.
@@rosalieelliottofficial I know Ren doesn't want to give everything away because sometimes people come up with interesting theories that he didn't intend but some people think the three women on their knees are the Witches of Eastwick. A lot of the references in the video show that Ren is a fan of Kubrick but also he uses the dethroning a king theme quite often so I think its possible that the three women grabbing at him could be the three witches from MacBeth.
@@longkesh1971 Yes, very true. Threes play an important part in a lot of classical writing and esoteric belief. Shakespear, Bacon, Plato, Aristotle all had works that emphasize the power of 3's.
I agree, during an interview while Ren was discussing this video, Ren's girlfriend was the person in the gorilla suit. I too feel that he was trying to escape the crawling women, I've never been around Ren, but I think that anyone thinking that He hasn't experienced females wanting his "attention", I think you're mistaken.
There's a danger that people are putting Ren on this pedestal, and then they feel disappointed when he's not wholesome 100% of the time. But why should he be? Ren is just Ren. But the beauty of it is that he resonates with everyone, flawed as we all are ❤

Your brain is amazing I really like how you think maybe because I can have the same thoughts many times. It’s rare for me to find people with the same thought process, keep it up u are doing an amazing job…
I think you are overinterpreting the sexualisation of those girls. They are just friends of Ren told to dress in black for the shoot. And one of them dressed without realising her bum would be showing when she was crawling pretending to be an animal. It's not even lingerie, just party clothes.
Something interesting about this song and new album that Ren talked about in a interview recently. It was actually made before Hi Ren. So these are technically older songs though they’re coming out after. He had said he wasn’t sure about even releasing these songs until a friend of his convinced him to do it. It’s going to be interesting to see his newer work that’s being written after Hi Ren to see what direction he goes in.
Animal Farm by George Orwell was the major inspiration for the video, and he has the "rules" from the book written on the wall in the first room. There's so many cool moments in this video like the German Shepherd leading the Lamb down the stairs. The Wolf passing on the stairs when he talks about the Lamb's blood flowing. The Crow on the side when he speaks about being parasitic and "eating your flesh (yumyumyumyum)". The most obscure connection is probably the Poodles in the corner of the stairway when he says he "gets kinda sick when he's stressed", as Poodles are known to stress out quite easily. The pig butcher from Hi Ren and Sick Boi in the kitchen chopping meat when he mentions "murderous rhymes". The Ostrich in a wedding gown on a tricycle straight out of The Shining. The roar when the lion(?) comes around the corner. There's so many intersting elements all mashed up with Animal Farm, Willy Wonka, Clockwork Orange, and The Purge. Like everything Ren does, it's a total work of art.
dont know if it was meant, probably was when we talk about Ren, but Mary, Mary quite Contrary was originally about Mary Queen of Scots, also known as Bloody Mary.
Always good to see your Ren breakdowns Rosalie, in context Ren wrote this song well over a year ago and filmed the video in February 2022 well before Hi Ren went viral he banked a lot of material knowing he was going to Canada for treatment, he said he even considered scrapping a lot of music and writing more stuff in the vein of Hi Ren after it's success but decided against it, as much as i Love the Visuals of the Video i think they distract you from the Lyrics, personally i think Rens Live Acoustic version of this Song is more Epic the creative way he Raps and Beatbox's while playing catchy Guitar Riffs is Genius.
9:00 I think 'braggadocio' was the word you were looking for. As others have said, I don't think the sexualization is what it appears (but it IS in the eye of the beholder), not least because it's a re-enactment of The Witches of Eastwick (so you could argue that the one in fishnets is Cher's character) :D
I love watching your breakdowns. Your perception of these songs from a psychological pov is such a refreshing and different angle to come at with these reaction channels. Your channel and Therapy Reacts channel are so good at looking at things differently. I really enjoyed this one, Rosalie! Much love ❣️✌️
So glad you got around to reacting to this. I love the depth you go into on your reactions, especially with Ren. Iirc it was a 40+ min reaction to 'Hi Ren' that led me to subscribe to you. The detail, attention and opinions you give outside of just the musical aspect are much appreciated.
I am very thankful I am old. So many refèrences to infuences of the past can be lost on the young. Also, keep in mind, the long term bedbound are ket company by movies and books. Your reaction and views are valid. As you say often the viewer also brings themselves into the reaction.
I understand this whole over the top thing that is going on in this video not about a description of who he is or what he thinks is cool, but it is a criticism of human behavior. At the end of the day, with power comes responsibility, and history tells us that the revolutionaries often turn into dictators and become worse than those who they were fighting because they abused their power.
“Homo homine lupus est” (man is a wolf to man) is a sad, but true Latin saying that comes to mind (one of the very few things from this language that I remember from when I learned it in school, back in the days…).
Hi Rosalie. Big influence from Orwell's "Animal Farm. Look it up dear. A Clockwork orange as well as the Creature from the Black lagoon. Lots of classic movie reference...
ADHD hyper-focus mastery at the highest level. He's at least 10 steps ahead of everyone. He also mentions in Power that he put everything into every part of every song.
I saw an interview Ren did with another reactor, that he wrote this one just for fun and working on the rhymes. After, while working on the video, he connected this to Orwell's Animal Farm, but the dogs playing poker was just that and there was a pic of the painting, "Dogs Playing Poker", above the table. He said he was a little upset when it could not clearly be seen. This was pure Ren doing Ren. Part Willy Wanka, part Hanabul and part Orwell. He is a genius, none the less, provoking thought ❣️
It's great to hear another person talk about analyzing people from the viewpoint of the animal world and the way we truly are a part of the animal kingdom. I do this a lot with other people and myself. I even describe my actions by relating them to an animal 😂. It's easier for me to comprehend the things we do
The list of rules on the wall, are from Animal Farm. I think a lot of what we see thereafter is the conflict of that, with them being tempted by the things the shouldn't do Gambling Drinking Cannibalism Standing on two legs Wearing clothing Role reversals animals and humans etc Also a bit like illest of our time when we are welcomed to his mind, we are welcomed again and he's powerful and erratic, then when he leaves the house (mind) he's physically more frail.
There’s a lot of Orson Wells’ Animal Farm in the video. The dogs playing poker though is from a popular picture. I love how you pull even deeper meaning and insights out of this. I caught some but you had me going “a-ha!” through the entire thing. Thanks.
I'm extremely impressed by your courage to name the discomfort around the portrayal of women in Ren's work. Sadly, we live in a world governed by misogyny and animalistic treatment of people, particularly women, as objects by powerful men and systems that support their misuse of power. The power some famous singers have over their female fans in the recording industry needs to be challenged rather than seen as the rightful benefit of a dominant rap or rock star. You did this so well. I loved your insight about the link between fishnets and fish in a nets within a slaughterhouse bathroom. I've seen male reactors look embarrassed or pleasantly outraged when Ren states his male prowess in his music.(you look quite nice with my xx in your hand) I think rather than professing his rejection of this position Ren seems to be owning his own capacity to be driven by his sexual male identity and ego. This is very hard to do in our long-needed #MeToo counter-culture. I do believe it is a parody, though. Ren and I have talked about his relationship with male power, I genuinely trust that he sees the person in a respectful and mutually empowered way. whilst enjoying seeking to make sense of the attention and sexualised love-bombing that occurs in the music industry. I love and am shaken by his courage to voice these thoughts. Keep this thread alive Rosalie. It's so necessary in our world. Martin
Thank you, Martin. Yes, I def. don't think he meant to objectify women in any way, but it is rather fitting to the animalistic subject matter and he is very courageous for not shying away from heavy topics. Thank you for your eloquent and kind comment and allowing me the opportunity to express how certain things made me feel while I also try to interpret the various symbols and elements I see.
@@rosalieelliottofficial Thanks Rosalie, In Ren's use of irony and pointing the mirror at himself, I wonder if he is allowing himself to objectify women. Your calling it out and starting the conversation is part of the solution. That's what I meant by keep this thread going. I'm alongside you on this discomfort. Let's get the male reaction music community on board!
@@rosalieelliottofficial I also felt that discomfort, but that's what art does. It makes you see and feel things. Ren points out topics in a way that makes us actually think. I understood the girls pawing at him in the hallway to be a symbol of the 'groupies' that follow powerful men, since he's the CEO, the KING, etc. We see examples of this all over politics, sports, entertainment. If you watch any of the busking videos of The Big Push, you can certainly see plenty of these groupies surrounding our guys on the street. And the cats on the dryers looked like they might be dressed up to go out for a drink at the bar, typical evening going out garb. In both of these scenes, the female characters have objectified themselves, sadly. In many of his other videos women have featured prominently as strong beings, partners, with their own desires and needs. I would like to think he's simply pointing out what happens in our animal brains in the power dynamics in society.
@@martingilluk Are women not animals too? Do they not fling themselves at the feet of rich and successful men? Can they not be predatory? Ask the ever so sweet Sir Paul McCartney about his experience. You'll note that in the video the character Ren is playing (the Cannibal King) does not indulge the women who fall at his feet, unlike many of the truly misogynistic purveyors of rhymes. He struggles to escape their grip, treating their attention with distaste, which I think puts him in an elevated moral position. His observations here on the plight of humanity are pointed and apt to the modern world. By entering into a reimagining of an Orwellian nightmare he references both the politics of that classic piece of literature and the further and continuing relevance such works have in every day life. The animals of Orwell's farm have become modern characters in a new tale of indulgence, insanity and gluttony. That Ren can do this without attacking any one group is a major strength of his work. Judging from recent interviews with Hawkins and Knox, politically Ren is both a progressive (espousing the idea of a form of futurist humanism) and a unifier (talking about bringing opposing sides together), but in his art he is more deliberately allegorical, which allows for a pointed commentary on the full variety of the human zoo. I think your son is a genuine modern genius, and everything he says and makes needs to be treated with the same reverence normally reserved for the iconic poets, musicians and film makers of the past - fill in the blanks yourself, but you know who I mean.
This song is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING !!! I think I have developed a bit of an obsession with Ren ! I literally look for Ren reactions GREAT REACTION ! Thanks lady ! Hi Renegades !
Everyone in the video is a friend so it feels more like a fun vibe. I have the same feeling about the sexualisation of women in videos, but I didn't get that same vibe from this video. Great reaction ❤
Same. I get the feeling that he just asked people to show up in fancy/party clothes - “bling” like he talks about wearing animal skins. I doubt he asked anyone to show up in revealing clothes. But if he did then it would be for a meaningful purpose.
It's my opinion that this song is an act in a much larger story, in which his cynical alter ego (in terms on the Jungian dichotomy expressed in "Hi Ren") is telling the story. The Pig Butcher character is a recurring theme, it's his dark side's perception of his medical caregivers. I think this "Dark Ren" character views the entire world in terms of the animal kingdom. This is his dark, cynical side, unmitigated by the dichotomy, and in complete control, expressing how he sees the world. Ren is not objectifying women...He's portraying how his cynical alter ego wants to rule over everyone...EVERYONE is an object to this character. It's his megalomania, unchecked by his own personal morality...Just pure lizard brain impulse to dominate the world and all it's inhabitants.
Sorry but I feel you're a little off target with this one, observer's bias, over thinking it, it's simpler. The main influence is Orwell's Animal Farm which illustrates the corrupting influence of power. The rules on the wall are taken directly from the book, the dogs playing cards is another reference, the two pigs behind him at the end are a representation of Snowball and Napoleon the books two porcine dictators. There are other influences too like the white suit and cane from A Clockwork Orange.
The dogs playing poker is probably also a reference to Cassius Coolidge’s series of artwork. The red lampshade and the picture on the wall look like ‘A Friend in Need’ (1903).
@@ianhislop6782 You're quite right, It's one of the series of 11 pictures showing dogs playing cards. Ren used it to illustrate Orwell's idea of the final demise of the animals gambling, drinking and smoking just like the corupt humans they replaced.
@@rosalieelliottofficial There are always multiple interpretations of Ren's work, he keeps it deliberately vague to encourage each person to have their own view. It depends on your personal experiences and way of analysing, yours is a very free thinking way picking up little clues and chasing down the ideas, me I'm more logical and analytical both perfectly valid.
The dun dah dun dah really from jump sets me thinking of a roller coaster with the clicking of the track as you going up that first hill, and then the song just goes full roller coaster mode. A ride right through to the end.
The video references cult classics like animal farm, the shinning, and a clockwork orange. But the girls crawling is a reference to the witches of Warwick
I was blessed with so many awesome talents that I used, oh for sure, when I was yonger and then squandered away ! I regret, so badly today! I do still have one that has not left me, thank God ! My quick wit, puns, plays on words...to make people everywhere I go know they are left happier and smiling when I leave! I will NEVER squandered that gift !
Love that you spent time discussing the symbolism of the cane. When Ren walks out of the front door with an unsteady gait and that flashy cane, two things came to my mind. First, I wondered if he was filming the video while having neurological issues affecting his mobilty (I have Multiple Sclerosis and sometimes have to use a cane, hence me connecting to that first, and about how it makes me feel so vulnerable while also giving me the power to get around), and secondly, I thought of Winston Churchill and his cane and stance - both a symbol of his authority, and also his vulnerability when he later became to depend on it physically.
Hello Rosalie you review is always very deep and as you say about ants and bees... We are here with purpose.... You,I, Ren and many others.Small people and leaders.
There is a human head hanging in the kitchen in a cage behind the pig butchers. it's Animal Farm, one of my favorite books. Many other references in this video that others have mentioned. I am seeing the connections of his lyrics to other written works of art in literature and in movies. In this story animals take over, also remember in the 'equal opportunity of survival' people eat animals, animals eat animals, animals eat people, not much evidence of people eating people, but I am sure it has or is happening somewhere. Every type of animal group or herd has an hierarchy. Humans will fight for it and over it the same way. When animals take over it could be very ugly, thus the book by Orwell's Animal Farm. Didn't seem to dissuade us humans to change our behavior though did it? I would love to be inside Ren's brain, that sometimes scares me but mostly excites and thrills me. Being a 74 year old woman, there isn't much left that I can still find to excite me anymore, make me think more and feel more again. Everything Ren does is either fun, sad, outrageous, crazy, deep with meaning, or educational. Ren is an enigma, although not a true enigma according to a "dictionary", since he tells us more about himself and his life than a true enigmatic person would, he isn't mysterious he doesn't hide anything. But he surprises most of us with his diversity. He is like a box of chocolate, maybe just not as tasty, due to some of his thoughts floating around in his head. He surprises most of us with the skills he has that can draw you in. And he does DRAW you in, makes you LOOK makes you THINK makes you want to KNOW more. Is Ren a chameleon? A good definition (I googled of course) "The chameleon effect is not a strategic facsimile of a person's gestures and facial expressions. It's more natural. It's a tendency we all may adopt to imitate someone else's voice and physical gestures so as to create a bond of intimacy and friendship. This can be done either consciously or subconsciously". Yes I personally think Ren is a natural chameleon, and he uses that "innate talent" and is very creative with it.
11:17 I will just spell this out from all my diving into Ren, it seems that the lingerie etc., is specifically here because sometimes animals (that we are) behave irrational when they (we) reject that more centrally human part of us. Referring to the *Piggish* kind of behavior seen in humans etc., so actually here Ren is pointing out that degrading and cannibalizing/enjoying feasting upon others at their expense is very much the behavior of an animal. Seems that we have to contend with this element within us and instead choose the rational/hope/way of true types of love selflessly etc.
14:15 That you can't see their faces is probably directly referring to ones who are possessed with living that sort of faceless or animalistic type of life ;) These animal masks, are perfect depictions because humans have the capacity (unlike actual animals) to behave as something they are not, something less than they inherently are. It is not without meaning that Ren himself is not completely animalistic and so maybe it is fitting that he isn't wearing a mask.
I think by REN spending so long sick, in a ironic way has given him a amazing gift. He grew so much emotionally and artistically during his darkest times. That’s what I call strength, a thing we all have somewhere inside of us all. Inspiration and a positive power.
All the cast in this video were mates that he roped in to help out... Not that they knew it was going to be a very long day to get everything to work in one shot. With a budget so small, I suspect all of the 'animals' chose thier own outfits from home rather than had a costume designer or Ren assign them. Thanks as ever for such deep insight and thoughts to consider.
Yay, I've been waiting for your reaction! Mostly because I knew this one was going to make you a little uncomfortable and you'd actually talk about that. From his community post about making this video, I don't think there's really that much hidden meaning behind everything, but more like a lot references to books and movies. But for the most part it sounds like it was more about the overall asthetic, being outrageous, fun and making the shoot more complicated than any other one he's done up to that point.
The video has a lot of George Orwell references, but the song itself is mostly just about being a dominant "beast" in the rap game I think. Ren did say that the lyrics are not tied to Orwell, only the video.
I honestly feel that until I have seen you react to Ren my understanding of his art is incomplete. I also have a very strong suspicion I know what your project is. You don't have to comment. But I have a feeling we're going to have a special guest on your channel soon😉
The whole video is a George Orwell Animal Farm reference, starting with the Rules on the White Board at the start of the video, also has some Clockwork Orange references in there to. There's a few tracks I'd love to see you react to, Fire, Ready for You, Love music parts 1-3, Power and Diazepam. All the best from the UK ❤
He said after hi ren he needed to get the pen out and compete with hi ren it’s set a new bar so money games 3 is in the works.. the songs he’s released so far are just new videos the actual songs are about 1 year old.
I don't know, how you can mention sexualisation so quickly and how disturbing it is for you by the video just showing women in nice dresses and masks making a simple (none sexual) choreographie and for a few seconds acting like love-hungry snakes. Really isnt that just natural? In human world the same like in the animal world???
The 3 women represent the witches of Eastwick. Seems the woman in question in the black BODYSUIT NOT LINGERIE is the Cher character. You're just missing another reference. It's definitely not what you all assume lol
Great reaction Rosalie, as ever. I hope the little Easter Egg you dropped at the beginning will enable you to discuss the fishnets further! I hope so anyway 🤞
Book & film references i got: Animals & manifesto on wall: political allegory, Animal Farm by George Orwell Wearing white, carrying a cane: Stanley Kubricks cult classic, A Clockwork Orange Oompa loompa jungle beat: Willy Wonka Pig in kitchen: cult classic Lord of the Flies by Wiliam Golding Toad & fish in bath: classic children's book Wind in the Willows 3 girls at his feet: Witches of Eastwick Girl animal on bike in hall : The Shining Lamb & lyric re cutting its throat: Silence of the Lambs ( Hannibal the Cannibal) I probably missed loads more.
Wow. This comment thread has been wonderful to read. Especially the discussion about portrayal of women. What other artist is provoking these sorts of observations, conversations and reflection about ourselves?
Its so interesting with how everyone sees things differently. By the time the women came crawling, we’d seen a bruised man chained on his knees, a butcher butchering something while a decapitated head swung back and forth i a cage. And our guide in this Animal Farm themed fever dream looks like a combination between Alex Delarge and a southern plantation owner. Not to mention the lyrics. My first thought was that they tried to eat him alive and that the thong was unecessary. I guees its all about where oneself is at the point experiencing something.
ty for pointing out the fish net stuff. as a male that has been desensitized by the system, i didn't even notice the sexualization. that's why your reactions are so important. keep it real again ty
I am so glad you go t around to this one the first time I watched this I was a little lost but then I really started to pay attention to everything and saw it like so simple but yet so complex at the same time he uses so many references from book and movies and puts his own twist on them to fit his narrative of what he wants to convey to us ( reference to the book orwells Animal farm and then the girl on the bike in the hall the shining the three women grabbing at him from witches of eastwick the white suit is from a clockwork orange the very begining sounds willy wonka and those are just a few refernces i am sure I missed some ) I like this alot he really has a bigger picture message. as always your ride or die forever Eyyyy Oooo
To me this video is both dark and fun and that's always a balacing act. What feels dark can be positive (rebellion, taking control) but negative too ( abuse of power, not respecting views that don't exactly match yours). I think the song and video (though not originally conceived together) are great at displaying both the appeal and danger of human's animalistic traits. We cant deny our animalistic side but should use our rational side to control it.
Excellent reaction, as always. I thoroughly enjoy your focus on psychology/philosophy. Here’s your regular reminder to check out Kalandra - Brave New World (live at Kulturkirken Jakob). Based on the Aldous Huxley novel. Well worth checking out!! Big love from Australia ❤
Everything Ren does has a meaning, but he is not a man i believe that would ever demean or try to capitalize on the sexual aspect of women with any kind of malice, there is always an underlying cause n effect to his music, story teller is one of his greatest attributes and being a reference to George Orwell's Animal Farm novel as well as putting aspects of human nature weave together not only a great song but a deeper meaning about life and the interaction with other living beings, great reaction and much respect for standing up what you believe in, as always. 🤟
Yes, the sexual inuendo and such make me very uncomfortable, but I have learned that is not how he feels about or treats woman...he is bringing an awareness of how women are being thought of and treated bu many
The writing on the wall is a quote from the book Animal Farm. Im this book the animals get rid of the farmer and start running the farm themselves. They make a set of rules to insure they are all treated fairly, but little by little the pigs make changes to give themselves more power. By the end of the book the pigs are dressed like men while sitting in a bar drinking with men, and you can't distinguish the two groups from each other. The risque aspect I think is in regards to the idea that animals can't control themselves sexually.
Hi new subscriber. You should some more music from the Disturbed band. I love their songs from 2008 and 2022, "Indestructible" and "Hey You." Not entirely sure what Hey You is about but I do know that Indestructible is about overcoming fear.

8:52 The word is flex :) I loved your interview with him! You are one of the few I see to go to the deeper levels of Ren, I love that as well!
So glad you got around to reacting to this. I love the depth you go into on your reactions, especially with Ren. Iirc it was a 40+ min reaction to 'Hi Ren' that led me to subscribe to you. The detail, attention and opinions you give outside of just the musical aspect are much appreciated.
Thank you :)
I am very thankful I am old. So many refèrences to infuences of the past can be lost on the young.
Also, keep in mind, the long term bedbound are ket company by movies and books.
Your reaction and views are valid. As you say often the viewer also brings themselves into the reaction.
How cool you're making the whole world spin LOL u rock is always. 🙃
I understand this whole over the top thing that is going on in this video not about a description of who he is or what he thinks is cool, but it is a criticism of human behavior. At the end of the day, with power comes responsibility, and history tells us that the revolutionaries often turn into dictators and become worse than those who they were fighting because they abused their power.
very, very well said!! agreed.
I've been waiting for this reaction! Glad you're back with Ren
Willy Wanka 😂
@@VanillaLibrarian Listen to the best and sing "Oompa, Loompa, Dupety, Do..."
Hey lady. Your reactions rock. I'm so glad you're a deep thinker - it shows in your videos. Thanks! Oh, and you got my sub.
thank you very much!! Your comment is encouraging.
The live acoustic version of this he just put out is amazing. This guy is a freakin' genius.
I hope you check out the Acoustic Live version of Animal Flow. I love this one take video but Live is always a personal favorite of mine always ❤️
Great reaction. Subscribed.
It's great to hear another person talk about analyzing people from the viewpoint of the animal world and the way we truly are a part of the animal kingdom.
I do this a lot with other people and myself. I even describe my actions by relating them to an animal 😂.
It's easier for me to comprehend the things we do
Ren was also pulling away from women on knees chasing him!
The list of rules on the wall, are from Animal Farm.
I think a lot of what we see thereafter is the conflict of that, with them being tempted by the things the shouldn't do
Gambling
Drinking
Cannibalism
Standing on two legs
Wearing clothing
Role reversals animals and humans etc
Also a bit like illest of our time when we are welcomed to his mind, we are welcomed again and he's powerful and erratic, then when he leaves the house (mind) he's physically more frail.
The opening reminds me of Willie Wonka’s Oompa Loompas song. He also reminds me of Clockwork Orange.
There’s a lot of Orson Wells’ Animal Farm in the video. The dogs playing poker though is from a popular picture. I love how you pull even deeper meaning and insights out of this. I caught some but you had me going “a-ha!” through the entire thing. Thanks.
Rosalie You should listen to his live version, he just dropped.
@@martingilluk Hello Martin. It's nice that you leave your opinion here! It's always interesting to read your thoughts!
This discourse is well needed. No doubt Ren is a gent and is holding a mirror up to society. And working things out.
Great reaction. New sub and RENegade 💪
I think it's fun, demented, and twisted. Brilliant! Thanks for supporting Ren!
From a Freudian perspective, this feels very Id based. The animalistic part of the Super Ego/Ego/Id triumvirate.
Your total right I got that same vibe you should do a video like rosalies
I would love to know what you think about "why my woman?" which Ren did together with his band The Big Push. Love your reactions
It gives you credibility that you're not just a fangirl, and you can critique or criticize when needed.
I def read more into it than may have been intended but that’s what makes art interesting right? :) thank you for the reference pointers :)
Try the acoustic version recently released (live on the back of a bus) x
Can`t stop watching the wobbly globe.
Same here!😂
The video references cult classics like animal farm, the shinning, and a clockwork orange.
First, I wondered if he was filming the video while having neurological issues affecting his mobilty (I have Multiple Sclerosis and sometimes have to use a cane, hence me connecting to that first, and about how it makes me feel so vulnerable while also giving me the power to get around), and secondly, I thought of Winston Churchill and his cane and stance - both a symbol of his authority, and also his vulnerability when he later became to depend on it physically.
wonderful comment!! Love your thoughts on the cane and the possible interpretation!
thank you for reacting to my favourite artist ever ❤❤❤
Hello Rosalie you review is always very deep and as you say about ants and bees... We are here with purpose....
You,I, Ren and many others.Small people and leaders.
Greeting from Croatia
Enjoyed and resonated with this
I was starting to think that you were not gonna do this one, Glad you did
The writing on the wall are from the movie " island of doctor moreau"
I think by REN spending so long sick, in a ironic way has given him a amazing gift.
He grew so much emotionally and artistically during his darkest times. That’s what I call strength, a thing we all have somewhere inside of us all. Inspiration and a positive power.
Even the globe is vibin'
All the cast in this video were mates that he roped in to help out... Not that they knew it was going to be a very long day to get everything to work in one shot.
With a budget so small, I suspect all of the 'animals' chose thier own outfits from home rather than had a costume designer or Ren assign them.
Thanks as ever for such deep insight and thoughts to consider.
The observer influences the observations ... says it all for me
Rosalie, can I recommend...highly recommend, Money Game Vol 1? Or Vol 2. Or both.
George Orwell's Animal Farm + A clockwork Orange + Willy Wonka = Genius
I honestly feel that until I have seen you react to Ren my understanding of his art is incomplete. I also have a very strong suspicion I know what your project is. You don't have to comment. But I have a feeling we're going to have a special guest on your channel soon😉
George Orwell meet Jumanji and other psychopath 😄 much love disturbed Friend
I got a "Willie Wonka" dun-pa dun-pa cadence... 3 piece suit /cane..

Love your reaction
I don't know, how you can mention sexualisation so quickly and how disturbing it is for you by the video just showing women in nice dresses and masks making a simple (none sexual) choreographie and for a few seconds acting like love-hungry snakes. Really isnt that just natural? In human world the same like in the animal world???
The 3 women represent the witches of Eastwick. Seems the woman in question in the black BODYSUIT NOT LINGERIE is the Cher character. You're just missing another reference. It's definitely not what you all assume lol
Ren is just a genius he’s a future goat for sure

Wow
4 legs good 2 legs bad Ren with cane has 3.
Clever you!
@@bethellen1962 Ren is the clever one. I have been noticing this for at least a year.
ty for pointing out the fish net stuff. as a male that has been desensitized by the system, i didn't even notice the sexualization. that's why your reactions are so important. keep it real again ty
I am seriously needing a full reaction to 'the Tale of Jenny & Screech' trilogy. I'd love to know a Psychologists view. xx
I did that one :) you can find it in the U.K playlist :)
Excellent reaction, as always. I thoroughly enjoy your focus on psychology/philosophy.

I’m sorry it’s taking me so long. Thank you for your patience :)
After watching this reaction, seems like you might really want to do a reaction to "Dominos". A really brilliant take on society...and it's woes.
