He actually used the hummed melody of the chorus twice, once humming it again in the beginning, and again played by the violin, but the underlying harmonies were completely changed. That’s genius musicality! Your reaction, as always, genius as well!
And in the countdown. Btw, it should have been kept, loved it. The first accords on the piano are from Grieg's piano concerto. Such a great composition from Ren.

After a incredible week of games and prizes, Ren drops THE album and this absolute masterpeice. There is absolutely no-one like Ren and - believe me - I don't envy you having to break it down. Storytelling on a level that is cinematic. Well done Rosalie on this and all your other reactions. Long may you prosper. Can't wait for your reaction for Seven Sins.
This is performance art at it’s finest. Ren is an artist the likes of which we’ve never seen before. More than a musician. More than a poet. His work too diverse to classify as any one genre or style. I have referred to him as a genius before and I stand by it. With every piece that he releases he proves it over and over again. Challenging us, not only musically, but emotionally, spiritually and intellectually. He shows us all how to be better human beings. Not only that but through all this he remains humble. Incredible! 👌🏻🐷💸
Amusingly, Ren said on Twitch that he didn't really know how to fold the suit jacket properly because he's never really worn a suit. He's currently wealthier than he has ever been, but he's just given away thousands of pounds to people playing a game, to Joe's family, and to charity, gave all of his best friends and new reactor friends time to shine in the spotlight, and is uncomfortable with many of the 'trappings' of success at an individual level. Really interesting to see him trying to navigate this particular tool.
Thank you. That's so interesting to know. Grieg wrote incidental music for Peer Gynt and that's what struck me about the music of Money Game 3. It's not a song in the traditional sense. There's no overriding melody. It's more a series of connecting pieces that tie the story together. Loving it more and more 👏😁✨️
I'm glad you mentioned the part about his dad's approval, I think most reactors missed it. To me its unclear whether Jimmy really cared about money at all. Other than his age 1 phrase (mine mine gimme) it seemed to me it was mostly about trying to get love and approval from his parent. He broke down immediately after he realized he can't get it anymore. He did continue to walk in the same direction for a while by intertia but it was very different from his focus before. This is what got me the most emotionally. It signifies that we, as humans, no matter how broken on the surface, underneath it all its still all about family, community and love. We just keep distorting it somehow. Maybe that's why Ren thinks the solution is in teaching - us learning, in school, what REALLY drives us, what we're about when you remove all the inventions we've made to distort it. Not really to mould our behavior with education - just to understand ourselves.
So very well said. I agree with you. I appreciate you noticing that and expanding on that concept. So true. Learning to understand ourselves. Healing and growth from the inside out, right? Thank you for contributing so eloquently to the conversation
Talking about his first words and not knowing if he really wanted money himself, I feel like first words are usually also influenced by parents therefore even that doesn't show his true desires

Ren can take an abandoned room and bring it to life. Songs like this need to be heard. This amazing video should win awards for its creativity and its truths.
In the last segment...The front left violinist didn't play because the rain accidentally landed on her and made her bow wet. Smart. The rain scene had to be done only once, they only had the room for one day and didn't have a second suit for Ren so couldn't do a second take as everything would be too wet. They had to buy the violinist a new bow afterwards.
"This ain’t entertainment, this is real life The way we live is lunacy, community it declines Hyperpolarised - always fighting then we divide Truth is less important than the money that we designed?"
Hi Rosalie thank you for the great reaction! I've seen a lot of connections between the shadow work that I experienced and the way Ren speaks of The Human Condition. If you get a chance watch him and his band during quarantine it is a glimpse of him just hanging with his mates😊🌿💔
How many of us will be impacted anaugh by this masterpiece to make change on our daily live? We all apllaude Ren but how much are we cuting off the money game? I do, and I will, buying from local production, quiting all the amazon and walmart of this world, not changing my phone befor it's realy need to be change, buying drift close and furniture as much as I can. Funny how all those little thing are good for the environement as well. More money in my pocket.. to be able to help other who are in need. At the end of my game I'll have nothing left but God know's I'll be happier. Peace to everyone 💐
REN’s message is that we need to shift our mindset. We need to break the cycle of being educated, getting good grades, getting a good job, raising our kids to do the same and repeating the cycle. Our obsession with wealth and the ‘power’ it brings is a fallacy. No matter how much we own, it’s never enough. We need to start to value friendship, community and love as true wealth. The only time we should be looking down on anyone is to help them up. We have enough to take care of each other. We need to value our mental health over our material wealth. Bring on the renvolution!
Yes! And how the protagonist is named Jimmy. And Screech was James…. James followed an unfortunate path, and so did Jimmy, just on different sides of the tracks! Ren is so smart how he ties in so many of his philosophies.
I definitely got goosebumps when the strings first come in. Such a fantastic piece of work. He keeps raising the bar, and I can’t wait to see where he goes from here.

Dare to be yourself to be selfless and to help without asking for rewards but for the happyness you feel making someone else happy. Dare to be free and to change the way you bring yourself and your children up in a world full of chaos. Masterpiece by ren his music will be study material for generations to come.
Great reaction Rosalie you broke it down perfectly scene by scene, fantastic.....Ren is so different to other muscians maybe that is due to him being himself and his life experience but also due to being an independant muscian and being able to express himself the way he wants to and not how a corporate media company would mold him to make quick bucks before dumping him and moving onto the next one?......
He pushes boundaries - including his own, he obviously has huge personal drive and ability to push his own boundaries, his multi-instrument abilities is testament to that.
He may not have used the chorus from part 1 & 2, but it was there symbolically with the mirror in the beginning and the rain at the end - “Oh, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, RAIN, a storm, it comes our way; And those who rise through distorted lies, poison in the veins. But we like to point the blame. Blame, blame, blame, it's easier to blame. But point the MIRROR at ourselves, we're all part of this old money game.”
Ren is quickly becoming the GOAT. Not just for hip hop but in music, generally. This song, to me, was like the Dr Suess of musical truth. His next several will be more reggae (Chalk outlines) type music. Can't wait for that. Your reaction was perfectly done. I have watched several since Friday. Seems like almost everyone was speechless. With all that is going on in this world, as always, Ren was on point. Standing O for both him and you ❣️❣️
As an aside - nice touch with the Welsh flag on the video thumbnail. Diolch yn fawr! In an interview with BBC Wales a couple of days ago Ren talked about the Welsh tradition of music and storytelling he comes from. He truly is a bard in the fullest sense of the word.
None of us really have a choice but to partake in the money game. We cannot just find some little bit of land, build a shelter and grow our veg, rear some animals... Someone owns the land or there is a tax to be paid. At least in the UK that is true! Every ounce of land is owned! I would have loved to live a natural life. I am under no illusion as to how tough it would be but we do NOT get that option because of the money game...
Imagine having this artistic and visual masterpiece, and instead of taking it all in and focus on all these beautiful details, you stare down in your notebook and miss so much of the visual story.
It's not just Ren's creativity - it is his vision and courage in having the guts to deliver such powerful and contentious messages. The saddest thing is that his analysis is correct! We are parasites of our own planet, and of each other. Great reaction Rosalie, as ever.
Such a great reaction to the video. Raising the questions that how we play the money game. How we all need to teach future generations as to how to live. ‘Mould will grow on a surface and consume til it dies’ That’s how I see humans destroying our planet. We need a renvolution!
ren's message is so counter-intuitive to how we're raised. "this world is cruel" is like an excuse to be cruel to others. "take all that you can" with a fake smile. the phrase 'fake it til you make it' always felt insane to me because it's like we're supposed to engage in cruelty just to fit in sometimes. love you're reaction rosalie.
Nature or nurture, we are all born in to it and grow and develop in the money game. How we choose, or not as the case maybe, to play it maybe different but it’s hard to avoid it either way. We should all hold up that mirror from time to time and take a good look🫡!🇬🇧!
I came here because of Ren.....As you have helped Ren with American exposure he's also doing the same for you bringing people to your channel, that's why I subscribed because I feel you have a great way of explaining and putting words to feelings.I hope you both do great from now on,Ren and yourself 😉👍
I see you have changed the channel to your full name, and am glad. I watched a lot of reactors look at Hi Ren. You are one of only four I still follow for reactions. This was so astute, as always. The point of view Ren has focused on is one of the things that led me to paring my life down to a Zen existence. This is the sixth week of living in a Zen residence, of transforming my life into one of more community, more experience, more mindfulness. My meaning of existence is no longer on things that are not important. It's in living with others as I would have them live with me. Thank you as always, Rosalie.
Kudos to Ren. He is saying that all of us are trapped in the Money Game without realizing that is a game that was made up by us, human beings. We can't escape because we don't realize that we made it up. And because we invented it, we are free to reinvent the world. To reject the Money Game since its ends are always sinister and horrific... and to invent a better world of cooperation and kindness and beauty. Dealer's choice.
Magnificent! Someone commented that this shtload be on Broadway.. I think it will be. This is going to capture people the way HI Ren did. Possibly on a larger scale. ✊❤

I also loved the the violin (at around 10:58) playing a part of money game part one.
Oh yeah - the violins played the part Ren was humming in Money Game 1 and it was beautiful...🥹
Was one of the first things I picked up. It's like the intro, which is a minor version of the intro of the previous two intros.
When Ren is interrupted playing the piano, I see that as him moving through life unawakened to the money game. He is interrupted, and it jolts him into awareness of his surroundings, leading to him looking in the mirror, and he removes the money bag. Very functional for the song so he can move through the room but also perfectly symbolic.

Fantastic reaction. Very precise and professional. Well done 👏
Perfect...both the song and your reaction...not going to lie, you amaze me x
Great reaction as always
your master class. great insight!
❤
Honestly, I was blind and deaf, on first viewing, to most of the gems within this video. Thank you for opening up the treasure chest, Rosalie.
That offer and link don't seem true somehow.
I love your reactions Rosalie. I love Ren. Perfect Friday evening. ❤️
The Rain Rain Rain in both money game 1+2 in this it actually rained!! Most miss this‼️‼️👍
Imagine having this artistic and visual masterpiece, and instead of taking it all in and focus on all these beautiful details, you stare down in your notebook and miss so much of the visual story.
You are by far my most favorite Ren reactor. Love it. ❤❤❤
That’s kind. Thank you very much
Great insight! Thank you!
Thanks for this excellent reaction - very insightful
Great break down, Rosalie. Thank you so much 👍🌹
Fantastic discussion and interpretation of a masterpiece of musical and visual art. Thank you.
Ren's live treasure hunt was genius as well first 27 mins is just the guys travelling but after that Wow go check it out
"Even if we could time travel, it would still be our present yet again..." 🤯 33:18
It's not just Ren's creativity - it is his vision and courage in having the guts to deliver such powerful and contentious messages. The saddest thing is that his analysis is correct! We are parasites of our own planet, and of each other. Great reaction Rosalie, as ever.
You and Knox Hill are always the ones I'm waiting to react to Ren. Here we go!
I also loved how he literally tickled the ivory’s before he metaphorically tickled the ivory’s!!❤
Such a great reaction to the video. Raising the questions that how we play the money game. How we all need to teach future generations as to how to live. ‘Mould will grow on a surface and consume til it dies’ That’s how I see humans destroying our planet. We need a renvolution!
So good! Thank you!
Great reaction; Ren is an exceptional Performance Artist.
I was hoping you was pn this it's mind blowing
ren's message is so counter-intuitive to how we're raised.
Such a good reaction. Thanks 🎉
Enjoyed. Thank you😊
Rosalie, great breakdown as always.❤
I image that the cuts were because baby was sleeping right next to you.
You look beautiful. I hope you're getting all the cuddles.
I came here because of Ren.....As you have helped Ren with American exposure he's also doing the same for you bringing people to your channel, that's why I subscribed because I feel you have a great way of explaining and putting words to feelings.I hope you both do great from now on,Ren and yourself 😉👍
Welcome :) thank you for being here
I see you have changed the channel to your full name, and am glad.
The singing in the beginning reminded me of the tale of Violet? The story made me think of someone who's name rhymes with gill Bates?
❤ #Ren
Simply outstanding just like Sick boi album, it is 🔥🔥🔥 what a incredible human being he is 💗
Rosalie I love your content and your input. Your new mic audio setup isn't optimal. Get someone that knows audio to set up your gains properly. Great reactions as usual. Thank you.
Thank you :)
Yes, I’ve been having trouble lately. Still working on it. Thank you for letting me know :)
His Opening Voice Spoke to me In Mournfulness, Of The Loss Of Innocence To Come
Loving your Ren reactions ❤
Apparently, a Grammy is to "recognise spectacular work in the music industry"
Ren deserves more ❤
Thank you 😀
Ok... Here's one.
The mirror scene.
Let's go back to Hi Ren
"The voice that you hear when you loosen the noise on the rope"
?
If that's it ... Mind blown.
.
Talk about "Full Circle"
thanks!
