I appreciate your thought - provoking reaction! You seem like an insightful individual, and I'll be here to support your journey, should you dive into more of Ren's work. I'm interested in checking out more of your videos as well. I recommend diving into Ren's history as well as his catalog of great music. You should also watch "Hi Ren" which is signature video that illustrates his health struggle and point of view. He's a gifted artist, instrumentalist, musician, and rapper. His message is REAL. May I suggest the following to see his range (He's almost 35 and has been at this for a long time): How to be Me and Chalk Outlines live feat. Chinchilla; The Hunger; Power; Murderer, both the official music video and acoustic live versions; Illest of Our Time; Money Ties; It's Alright; Patience Ren and Bear McCreary; I Shot the, Sheriff/Road to Zion/ Hip-hop Hop cover with The Big Push (red suspenders version); Back on 74/ Message in a Bottle live retake; For Joe Live; Englishman in New York, Bongo Bong, and Praise You covers with The Big Push; Ocean and Humble feat. Eden Nash, among many others (Check out more of him busking with The Big Push and Sam Tomkins). Trust me, Ren is a rabbit hole worth diving into, and if you react to him, RENagades will be along for the journey and to support you. He has renewed my commitment to staying true to myself and being a light to my family and students, despite life's sucker punches. Be well! ❤
Welcome to Ren a third time! Now you've found his chronic and mental illness advocacy as well as the continuation of his stringent anti-greed messaging. That first pause *was* definitely an interesting one 😂 FWIW, in the shortest explanation I can manage - Ren is very sick with Lyme disease. Because it was misdiagnosed and mistreated/not treated for 7 years (he lost his entire early 20s) he has permanent brain, nerve, bone, joint, organ and muscle damage as well as medical PTSD. He almost died before it was finally caught. An experimental stem cell treatment got him back on his feet, but he still struggles. He very recently came out of a year and a half of treatment, only to suffer a bad relapse and spent two months in bed soon after. He's off for more treatment again next month. He tends to hyperfocus on music, creating as much as possible when he's feeling well-ish, and then hold that art in reserve to slowly trickle out to us when he can't work. Super intelligent businessman as well as artist ❤ As an aside, when you do Money Game 2 make sure it's the lyric video. The live isn't the entire song... and the TV appearance is amazing but is an acoustic version not a replication of the studio recording. Love watching your journey!
