I was in Louisiana a week and a half ago my buddy gave me a 1968 evanrude 9.5 I got it running in about 30 minutes taking it out this weekend glad to see someone else fixing old motors and getting them going hell yea brother
I wish you were not so far away, or I would have visited you about a motor. I just bought a 1965 6hp Johnson. I'm waiting on a gasket, so I can install the new impeller.
How close are you to Beaumont Texas? If I wanted to buy a motor from you, people around hear are trying to sell fixer uppers for your fixed up prices lol, I just can't find any. I like the 6, 9 1/2, 9.9, and 15s.
Lower HP motors do not change much with different props. 2 blade props should be faster at full speed - 3 blade props get in step faster and slower at High Speed.
Great work The classics. They just made them better evenrude was the motor in the 70 s in the high country lakes

@@michaeljsimon what's the top speed we can expect,by the way we share your good country singer Zachary Richard in Quebec.
@@magnum9975 rule of thumb in a 14’ Jon boat the top speed should match the HP. Example 7.5 hp should go at least 7.5 mph or better.
I have 1973 evinrude 18hp motor I bought it last week I don't know if it's runs
