Wow, I haven't heard those 096 sounds in years. For those of whom perhaps weren't around at the time, back when 096 was found in the entrance zone in an open door chamber where he just sat in the middle of the floor, those were his original noises before 0.64 or 0.7.
I loved his old sounds. Back when he would appear in light containment it was super creepy. Sat in the middle of that room with the red lights, with a similar layout to the current gas chamber

fun fact, the buzzing noise that plays around 096 was the same noise used in the early development stages of the original containment breach. When 096 didn't have his own chamber and instead was in the smoke room, these noises would play when you were near him. The reason for the buzzing was because 096 is like a bee. If you leave him alone, he'll leave you alone. Hope you enjoyed my fun fact

SCP-099 is not actually the painting, which is SCP-1074. It just completely reuses the room and functions for it and is called the portrait.
in the mod, it actually functions differently. it doesn't kill you if you go up to it, and causes hallucinations
Both are paintings and they both cause different effects on people.
