I love what you are doing Richard, and I get tremendous value by just seeing your place in the mountains and hearing the sounds of my youth, ckickens, creeks and the wind in the trees. Keep up the good work. Do you take the tension off the blade at the end of each day like Nathan does on his super 70?
The tips and techniques are helpful. Simply seeing family work ethic is novel. I think the greatest value your channel provides is wholesome, Biblical common sense and of course, here and there a laugh with the dad jokes.
You Guys are the Best! I can’t keep up with all of the work you guys been doing, and get any of my work done. The Juice Shack looks amazing you guys have been after it hard! We will help you with the Super Winch when you ready. Thanks for the Shout Out Once Again! See ya around Guys!❤️👍👊
Good morning Richard, enjoyed the talk on the sawmill and keeping it dialed in for the best cut and always enjoy your stain application for the wood you put on the buildings you build. Looks great around there. Stay safe and keep up the great videos. Fred.
O you are a very good craftsman for sure!! Grandma wiped out the cast iron, nerves wash with water.people won’t agree with that, but that was how it was.be safe down there!! Mike Peabody,Massachusetts
Mine did the same. On a small amount of soap sometimes if needed. But used everyday being seasoned with lard and meat grease, we were back on the road, lol
"There's nothing like a good cast iron skillet", totally agree. But also having a thoughtful daughter ranks pretty high! I've been amazed at how well the Cabot timber oil and wood protector have held up over the years, definitely a worthy investment. I forgot what product you used on the stone and mortar underpinning, but it also looks like it was only finished a few weeks ago, so that's really looking good and working well also.
It is always inspiring to visit here with you Richard. Kudos to Jennifer on the frying pan for Dad. This is one of my favorite channels to watch> God bless you all and keep you safe ❤❤❤
People with portable mills will be a great help sawing up downed timber for emergency shelters in the mountains over there if you know anybody. Have a great day..
Yes they would. There is a lot of help from road construction, rebuilding shelters, schools, churches and that is a viable option should people use it. But commercial law dictates loan housing be built with graded lumber. Can’t figure why but they get their cut from the business, and so on. I would rebuild mine with sawmill lumber, lol

Absolutely. No need to leave tension on a dead saw, lol.

That would be fun. I think an H frame with two support braces could go over center of mill, mount a winch and stick a fork in it!

It is so nice to mill lumber with it. Much higher quality I think. Hope all is well there and have a blessed week

Thanks to your show, I now use Cabots timber oil around my home.
Great. I’m sure you like it. We have come to rely on it for our buildings.

It was a pavement and garage floor sealant. Thinner than water seemed like. Did a good job
Enjoyed
Thanks Richard and hope your week is blessed
