Because the point is that it sets a bizzare rhythm then eases you into through repetition so your brain gradually comes to understand its bizarre rhythm despite being quite repetitive. It's cool as hell.
I call it the disonant harmony, when a rythm is chaotic enough the melody will always hit a spot, whathever is an empty spot or not will not matter because its so chaotic that nothing feels out of place, because its unconsistent and there is not an order to follow, think it like drums with a guitar, it will not maather
@@T-Dawg75 i find the masked man version to be easier for combos, also just so you know, 29/16 is an estimate, in other words it's 28.67667/16 or 71907/40120
This is ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. I also checked out your Twitter thread about the Sound Battle programming for this song because I'm actually sorta working on a rhythm game based on Mother 3's combos, and that helped to confirm my research into the mechanic. Thank you!!
I haven't had time to get to mother 3 yet even though i know i will love it, and holy crap if the music is this good that makes it seem like it's definitely worth it! Good job as always :)
It's not a very long game, and since you'll likely be emulating you'll have access to a fast-forward feature, too. It's truly an amazing experience, so I def recommend it!
This is such a dang banger. I didnt think it was possible to make an already amazing track even catchier, yet you managed! It has a very mysterious, mystical feel to it where the original was more forlorn and unsettling feeling.
Fantastic work on this composition! It was already one of my favourite tracks from the game, and this is only an improvement. Love the bass sections. My only suggestion would be to lower the super high-pitched harmonics of the xylophone as those are pretty loud compared to the rest of the track. Keep up the great work!
The bass guitar is such a great addition. This has totally got a weather report vibe to it.
Tommorows weather: 29/16*c
_Exquisite._ I rate this 15/8!
Is that the time signature
@@toceeno874 Yes, and then the harder variation 29/16
@@n00bplayer72 29/16 is an estimate, it's 28.67667/16 or in other words, 71907/40120, they made a time signature just to make a boss fight harder
sadly, it has been confirmed that the time signature was.... 4/4
this is the greatest example of"every song is 4/4 if you dont count it like a nerd"
So great to have another remix of this song here on TH-cam. So few people are crazy enough to attempt the crazy time signature. =P
Happy 15th anniversary to this beautiful game.
and nintendo still doesnt give a shit about this game, at least outside japan
@@mrertyks4071 tbh I still hold hope on the game getting localized. Just a reasonable amount.
Dang, Duster must be hitting some sick combos for a bassline that groovin'!
I still can't get it, how does this song work with such a crazy rythm...

@@Azure1013 The point is also to make sure that you will NEVER get a 16-hit combo on any enemy with this song.
The masked man version is crazier.
*29/16*

I just finished it yesterday and it was amazing, I'm glad I did it
MOTHER 3 YEEEAAAAAAAH
I couldn't imagine working with such a funky time signature, let alone with an orchestral style! Love those guitar portions!
Me either, but the wiki says that it's 29/16
@@Nasukkin wrong version, also 29/16 is an estimate, it's actually 28.67667/16 or 71907/40120
this is the last time i try to tell y'all this
Nice! I like that glitchy thing in the background
Holy crap, this is punchy! Even the toplines are punchy! It works beautifully with the sparseness of the arrangement. Really good job!

Wow, you nailed it! Happy anniversary, Mother 3!
Happy 15th anniversary Mother 3, the most beautiful, well-written game I have ever experienced!
I recommend OMORI!
Oh wait a second, is that a *4:3 tuplet* at the end of every bar with that background synth?
You mad genius.
Groovin Omega!
Holy cow...so this is what the soundtrack would sound like in excellent hands. Thank you!
Appreciate the use of the Barrier Trio's version over the Masked One's version.
i love that bit-crushed organ
Hell yeah, another strong one remix
This is a good remix! Happy 15th anniversary Mother 3!!
Best cover of this song by far. Excellent job!
Great arrangement, I really love this take on the song
That was Spectacular.
15 years later and we still don’t have an official way to play it in america.
Really nice arrangement
The fact that there are no dislikes shows how godlike this is
Anytime someone mentions the zero dislikes, it's always asking for trolls.
It has an even more irregular feel than the original, and I love it!
honestly better than the original
Just wonderful, great work!
I really loved it!!!!!!!!!
I love this
Only you could make this one work.
Awesome rendition! I give it a 29/16!
god i love this
Daaaam man is so good
Incredible arrangement of an incredible song from an incredible game. (insert mandatory 15/8 joke here)
Is it just me or does this arrangement have huge Rain World vibes to it?
I've heard about rain world and have seen people praise it. If the ost sounds anything like this then I gotta play it
The Neon Dream Cave
Wow...
Enough said.
it sounds like something youd hear from megaman network transmission
Strong One: Masked Man, next?
please do volcano inferno!!
masked man dating simulator
It’s him, our lord and savior
Yoooo
fuck yes
Which strong one is it?
15/8
Woooo
At least it's not a hippie this time
Yooooo
YOOOOO

This actually sounds like a five nights at Freddy’s two tune
how lmao
