Stephen it’s spray foam insulation it is hazardous when wet but once it’s dry it’s safe it’s great stuff use it all the time. I hope I answered your question.
There are $200-$300 cell phone cases with flir cameras in them that will do this no problem. You can also rent the cameras for very cheap from specialty equipment rental companies that will ship them directly to your door and pick them up when your done.
@@torreslover456 Sure, at 2:47 he claimed to warm air goes through the wall. That is physically impossible. The living space via convection and radiation heat the wall surface. Then it radiates into the cavity warming air then creating convection looping or in this case convection escaping air into the attic. Also on the same note, he said you can see "cold air" You can not see cold air in an IR camera. You can see the effect of cold air on surfaces but not cold air itself. Also when fixing the missing top plate with foam they do not remove all the insulation to really assess the issue (maybe they did it later but air will find a path to escape so they should have down sprayed all of it.)
"has this vertical component" I like his official terms for a piece of cardboard
And the fact that they sell something you can make for free out of cardboard boxes.
I learned a lot from this show.

Wow so many things are wrong with this! I cant believe this is a show. Don't they fact check?
Care to elaborate on specifics?
Bryn Shank he cannot because fact checking is also out of his vocabulary.
Spray foam over fiberglass, ughhh! Would have been better off using cardboard there too.
