Kool, thanks for the video. I have a 2021 Ferris Fw15 32 with fixed wheels. I hadn't did anything like U did yet. It cuts real good in tall grass. I only done 3 oil changes
Thanks for the video, it’s good to know that after sucking out the oil there was still some left I was concerned about that, I will have to get the drain hose. I would like to know your experience with how the mower mulches with just the shoot blocker if that’s how you intend on using it, I know you may just flip it up and down briefly for flower beds but it you do try to mulch I would be interested to hear about it.
@@TonysLawnCare215I think he means how does it cut whenever the chute is closed. For example when you are making a pass along a car or house and the only option is to have the chute closed, does the grass clump up and leave a trail behind the mower or does it do a good job of “mulching” the grass up when the chute is closed.
To be honest with you i have tried to keep the blocker closed without the mulch kit installed and just with high lift stock blades and it did well . As long as you just cut off like a inch only of grass if you cut off more that 1 inch 2 or 4" it will clog up under then about every 100' or so i have to open the blocker door to let it all blast out then close it and keep mulching @ 3 or 4" but if i only cut of 1" does great and i can keep the blocker door closed and finish the lawn. JUST DONT CUT MORE THEN 3 TO 4" when mulching without the mulch kit installed.
The real Truth is that the Ferris FW15 Is not Built for Mulching It is designed for side discharging ONLY. For (Commercial Property Mowing) Commercial property owners don't give a shit about mulching the grass they just want it cut Integrating the mulching Style Grass Cut for the commercial property is a personal preference of the operator of the Ferris FW15 they integrated a Mulch kit (For Residential Home User) and also a bagging system Kit To Extract The Grass Clipping's and The Tree leaves ect. For The Private Residential Owner" That is why 3 different type blades to use (High Lift, Medium lift Blades) for side discharging, and mulching blades to mulch Grass and leaves For the Bagging system --->( FOR THE HOME USER ONLY ) 👍
Interesting, I have been told that the Ferris doesn’t mulch well but I couldn’t think of a good reason why it wouldn’t. I am going to try the mulch kit soon but may only use it occasionally and it’s relatively inexpensive so worth a shot. I did put a custom side bagger on it and it works great, love that mower.
@@kelkev85 That is right ! Just stay with the lift stock blades and use only the side discharged/Blocker .Mulching leaves DONT WORK WELL with the Ferris FW15 Go for it if you want to buy the mulch set up .I am good i Dont Need it.
