Tips I can think of: Try to learn every f2l case so it is 0 or 1 rotations. Don't rotate during PLL Don't worry if you get slower when adding a new technique because eventually you will have enough practice in it and it will be faster.
@@jaycalter-speedcuber8472 Yes, because if you spot an edge before finishing the F2L pair you are doing you'll know if you have to rotate or not (at least if you are executing RU solutions)
@@rakuzito791 well, when you see a case, you should know how to solve it, it should be in your muslce memory, so you will already know if you need to rotate, due to the knowledge you have of the case. How fast are you?

Great job! I'm actually in the same boat right now. I have been wanting to get sub 20 for a long time, but haven't really sat down and tried to learn and practice all that I need to. You've inspired me.
Having super effecient crosses with out looking at the cross pieces as you do them makes a big difference in solves. That helped me break the sub 20 barrier. I'm decent at x cross if I can see them but the hardest challenge for me is planning the first pair in cross or recognizing where they will end up after cross. If you practice these it will help immensely. I think you've inspired me to practice this and rework ony f2l. There are some annoying cases that aren't intuitive I need to learn. Keep up the good work man.
Finally a relatable TH-camr! Good luck on your 3x3 practice and hope you improve your times - I love Deltarune btw just hearing this in a video is amazing and you had the perfect use for the songs. Keep up the awesome TH-cam videos and keep up the 3x3 solves!
As someone who currently averages around 24-26 seconds, this was very encouraging and helpful, thank you. Congratulations for the sub-20 average! P.s. For anybody struggling with Na perm, it's a Jb perm with a few moves added at the start and the end :)
This gave me inspiration to learn full pll. I’m sub 20, still using two look pll and oll. I’ve been cubing since 2019 I believe, and for the past couple years, I’ve only really improved f2l, cross, and a tiny bit of look ahead. Since I learned two look oll and pll, I put zero time into improving them. But after watching this, I’m for sure going to put full effort.
Nice video Blue! I don’t know if you know this, or if anyone else mentioned it, but I just wanted to let you know a tip for Na Perm - it’s just a set up to J Perm! R U R’ U [Jb Perm] U2 R U’ R. The set up moves are almost the same as Sexy, with only the last U move going in the opposite direction. Then you just insert the pair at the end. Since you were struggling so much, I thought this might help!
I love this video! It would be great if you could do something like this regularly - or even just batches of solves with your statistics - so we can see the work it really takes to get the time down. Other videos make you think "do this and you'll be sub-10 in half an hour", so it's awesome to see the work and also the frustrations that go in to trying to get that average down, which is much more like I experience! Great work!
Congrats, breaking a barrier always feels nice. (Also, for some reason I always thought you were way faster, maybe just because you're a youtuber and I just kinda assume youtubers are faster? lol)
I'm avaraging about 15 seconds so i normally watch a bit more advance stuff but this kinda help me to take step back and notice one or two mistakes i make so thanks for that
For me to get to sub-20, I learned full OLL And PLL and drilled them algs ALOT to keep them in my mind. Ive been cubing for 3 weeks now, Ive got a average of 40 seconds and a pb of 24 seconds. I am going to be trying your method on how to get faster as i need to get alot better at f2l. Good video!
Man, this was like looking into a mirror. I’ve been able to solve the Rubik’s cube for many many years but decided in late 2019 that I would fully learn CFOP so that I could speedcube. I learned all the OLL & PLL algs, started doing F2L, etc. I started off at 45 sec and gradually got it down to 22 in three years. I was seemingly stuck at 22 for most 2022 but then for whatever reason, at the beginning of 2023, something clicked and my lookahead just started working (when it barely worked before) and now I’m about 19-20sec. I still make mistakes and zone out and can get terrible solves in the mid to high 20s but can also be as good as mid to high teens when I’m totally in the flow. My PB is 10.9 something or other (obviously a lucky scramble lol).
Hello Cubeorithm! I have 2 comments talking about how you inspired me to improve. And now, I’m sub-20 🥲. I have now surpassed the cuber who inspired me 2 years ago. I want to thank you so so much for this video! It changed my cubing career for the better. Until next time ✌️(maybe I’ll be sub 15 next time lol, who knows)

Congrats! This was really cool to see. I've just been working on my average and found I really need to focus on F2L. This video has given me some ideas for better practice habits. Thanks for the video.
One thing you also could do is learn some finger tricks. One of the best ones is keeping your right thumb (or whatever hand you do algs with) on the front of your cube instead of on the bottom. I’d also say learn some more OLL algs cause you whiffed some sub-20s by not using some crazy fast OLL algs like on of the T cases.
THANK GOD FOR THIS VIDEO I average 22 seconds forever and it felt so discouraging to find little kids beat me in like 4 months. Know I have a creator to relate too
