The Warning has been playing and writing music since they were children. That is no exaggeration. Daniela (guitarist & vocals) began piano lessons at age 6, and Paulina (drums & vocals) began at the same time when she was just 4 years old. Alejandra (bass & backing vocals) is the youngest sister, and began her piano lessons a few years later, probably at age 4. Their parents were music fans, and so the girls were introduced to the same music their parents listened to, mostly what we now call "classic rock". When the Rock Band video game was released (late 2007) dad bought it for the girls and they became obsessed with it. Pau immediately took to the drums while Dany always played guitar. Ale was 3 years old at the time, watching her sisters play. Eventually dad asked Dany and Pau if they wanted to add another instrument to their music lessons, and so Dany began guitar lessons and, after some searching, they found a drum teacher willing to give 6-year old Pau a chance. Ale didn't begin bass lessons until she was physically big enough to hold a 3-quarter size bass at age 7. Her progress on bass was rapid and she was soon playing at a level comparable to her older sisters. In 2012 they began practicing as a unit, but it wasn't until 2013 that they named the band. Ale's bass teacher was the instructor who urged them to begin writing their own songs. This was probably sometime in 2014, and by early 2015 they had several songs written and began making plans to record them. On April 14, 2015, their first EP (Escape the MInd) was released on iTunes. At the time Ale was 10 years old, Pau was 13 and Dany 15. So, despite their youth, they have over 11 years playing together and 9 years as recording artists. Until they signed with Lava Records in 2020 they were independent, by choice. They had offers but those offers always came with strings attached which would result in giving up creative control. The Warning would have none of that. They waited until they could negotiate an acceptable contract. The phrase fiercely independent can be applied here. They write music that they want to play, and I believe this translates directly into their performances. I'm not a musician, and I am not qualified to rate them as songwriters. But I do know what I like, and there is a lot to like here.
This song should have never left their setlists. It's one of their best, specially live. But I understand they have to prioritize the new stuff which is really good too.
I totally agree! They kept Money but honestly, this is the better song in my book to have kept in their current setlist. I love this song SO MUCH. One of my all time favorites from them.
This is one of the 22 songs they are playing during this concert and it´s all original songs of their own. Since the sound and picture is top notch it´s all enjoyable. Theiy are enjoyable and make one feel good. They are masters when it comes to writing hooks and their lyrics are also great. They have improved even more during those almost two years that have passed since this gig. Their trade mark is high class production and flawless performance. Their live renditions are always better than the studio work is. If it´s good on the album you can be sure it´s going to be fantastic live. Just around the bend they are playing Wacken open air and it´s another landmark on their road to the top. I´ll sub you and am waiting for you to do some more The Warning, you have arrived at the rabbit hole and pretty soon you will be a member of the TWA!
Don't think you'll get to hear this song when you see them, it's from the 3rd album, Error. Most of your shows setlist should be from the current 4th album Keep Me Fed. You've only heard "Automatic Sun" and "Hell You Call A Dream' from that album so far. Suggest you check out a bunch more before you see them, songs like "Six Feet Deep", "S!ck", "Que Mas Quieres", "Sharks", "Apologize". I've seen Halestorm a couple times, they are outstanding live. Some of theirs to check out beforehand: "Back From the Dead", "I Am the Fire" ,"I Miss the Misery", "Love Bites (So Do I)", "Wicked Ways", and the redone version of the ballad "Break In" feat Amy Lee.

As the story goes, a (former) friend told Pau that she should stop wasting her time with the band because they were never going anywhere. Oops. Wrong thing to say. I guess that’s one way to get a song written about you. (That old Doors live album on the top of your rack is ancient, is that a reissue. I remember seeing it in stores way back in the previous century.)
Pau is definitely someone you don’t want to get on the bad side of. She’ll either write a song about you, or if you’re lucky she’ll just hit you like one of her drums.
That’s only half of the story. That happened at a friend’s house. Pau found out later that after she had left to do band practice, her ‘friends’ had continued to bitch about her.
I had bought a lot of albums of a band i liked,seen them in concert never bought another album sold the whole collection for a pack of smokes very disappointing to say the least.
