Ale conceived the song and wrote the bass line when she was about 12 . . . Dust to Dust is the first song in The Warnings concept album . . Queen of the Murder Scene . .
If you just now discovered them, boy are you in for a treat. There is so much content on here to take in! And not a bad song to be found. Even the stuff they wrote as kids is just phenomenal.
Hi. a couple things. Ale wrote the bass lines more or less when she was 11 years old. Pau Trains by running on a treadmil while singing. Basically the three of them are like high-level athletes, they train and practice every day for several hours. They have been with the band for 10 years, but playing their instruments for more than 15 years, they are stopping. 🤘⚡🤘⚡🤘⚡
No need to explain...they did an almost 2 hour concert at 7,000 ft in Mexico city and their energy was non stop...I challenge anyone to do anything like this and not die or call EMS!!!
The new album don't have Pau songs singing, she says that she's a little tired during the tours, she says that she would like training more before tours.
Being a three piece I think creates a lot of opportunities for the bass to assume the melodies when the guitar is playing rhythm. They do such a great job working together. Sister magic
Perfected by the time they performed this at the Teatro Metropolitan. Give yourself a treat and watch the evolution of this epic song. Ale is given major credit for the creation of this song when she was 11 or 12 years old. At the Lunario CDMX 2018 Ale was only 13 and The Warning sounded raw, but Ale ‘thundered’ in the smaller venue. For me, she sounded like the roar of jet engines! She was so young and mesmerizing, like a wild child trying to tame a wild horse (her massive guitar). At the Whisky A Go Go 2019 Ale gives a slower longer intro before the song! And there is a camera amongst Pau’s drums. Great close ups of her. Both versions will give you a more ‘complete’ version of what they originally planned, but had to ‘modify’ by the time of the performance you just reacted to. It will still surprise you.
Drummers singing lead was much more common in the 60s-80s. If you’re a drummer and have that muscle memory, it just doesn’t seem to be that hard for them As far as breath control, learning not to hit the shit out of your drums while singing lead is helpful. When they were an independent band, she used to hit as hard as she can all the time and you could hear it in her singing live. As soon as they got signed I noticed she wasn’t winding up to smash it the way she used to. I imagine someone at the label talked to her about having a 40-50 year career vs 20-30 The most recent live footage I saw of them yesterday, Pau wasn’t even hitting as hard as she was here in 2022.
@@Nolimitcam._ Oh yeah she's been that good for quite some time. And fast forward to now.... She's just the boss out there. Just an absolute monster, whether she thinks she is or not LOL.
After seeing their vlogs, their level of quality doesn’t surprises me anymore. They put so much effort consistently, they train like it’s a sport, they practice their movements for choreography, they help each other, they select every single detail on their music and are not afraid of experimenting outside of rock purism. And in top of everything, they connect between each other like only brothers and sisters can. Yeah, it is disgusting. Imagine you’re playing for decades and then these ladies want to open your show, nah I’d give them my spot, not willing to risk my career 😂
Yeah, Pau's has a n awesome voice too, and yes while drumming. Her mic is gated. Opening track on the 2nd album , Queen of the Murder Scene. Released in 2018 when they were 18 16 and 13. A concept album, written by teenagers. About a girl's journey from obsession to stalking, murder, descent into madness, and her death. Song is the album prologue, told by the girl's ghost at her funeral. The spoken part is voiced by their manager ,Rudy, playing the preacher character. Was thinking you meant Jen Ledger before you finally remembered it, yeah she's great too. Pau sings lead on other songs too. Also from this show, "23" and their first Spanish language song "Narcisita", which has a nice surprise at this concert.
I love the first reactions when they listen Pau singing... Legend says when she was born all drums in the world trembled as she's the chosen one... 🤘🏻 And Ale and Dany of course always amazing... They all three are not from this world... 💛❤🖤
Now add in that this concert was in Mexico City, at elevation 7,349 ft above sea level!!! And Pau sings like this on a few songs. They are not human to have that much talent, that much drive, that much love for music, and that much beauty!
They use a gate on Pau’s mic. They have been doing it for a while since Pau also sings a lot of backing vocals on other songs,, so Lalo, their sound engineer for live shows, has everything dialed in.

Would be awesome if someone can provide links to an interview or video to confirm that.

You know what else is disgusting? They wrote all of their songs. The lyrics and music are too damn good for people this young to write. They are so deep. Just listen to their album Queen of the Murder Scene with the songs in order. It's a rock opera that "kids" should not be able to put together. But they did. It is the best "album" that I have heard in a long time. I have listened to it several times over. What a story.
The Warning are 'musician's musicians', meaning a band that other musicians, and music aficionados appreciate. Where they might have more of a fanbase among pros in the industry than among the general public. Examples include Motörhead and System of a Down. Yes, they're that good.

Dude, one must consider that in spite of how young they are, The Warning has been doing this for more than ten years. ...And, basically...they've all been playing music for their entire lives (pretty much). That doesn't change how talented and/or how amazing they are, however 🙂 You should check out their cover of "Enter Sandman" (2014) at some point...it will give you some perspective. "Disciple" is a really cool song, too. They did a great video for that one, but the version from this concert is cool as well. The vocals stand out on that tune, 'cause Dany & Pau flip the lead back and forth.
Hana from Gacharic Spin (and Doll$Boxx) is another Singing Drummer, though she is only semi-active as a Drummer these days (she switched from Drums and Vocals to Guitar and Vocals in 2019). Hana has always been into fitness and Pau, as people have pointed out, is also into fitness, and that is probably one of the key factors in both of them being able to sing and drum at the same time.
Relatively new to your reactions of The Warning. Watched them all. Love them! You say what I have been thinking. Crazy talented musicians and composers. They also happen to be great people! I'm a 67 y.o. rocker (Hendrix, Allman Bros, Zep, SRV). I know good rock and LOVE THESE LADIES! Have tix to 3 shows in Sept. and Oct. Can't wait! Glad you went back in time to Dust to Dust. I love all their stuff but have a connection with their early songs. Check out "UGH" from the same concert at Teatro Metropolitan. Fast paced straight up rock song which showcases Pau on drums just KILLING IT with 16th notes on the ride and a sledgehammer on the snare. Also Dany with killer vocals. IMO, she is one of if not the best front person in rock today. And as you always point out, Alé is just a great bassist. Don't worry that not many people ask for UGH. There are SO MANY TO CHOOSE FROM. You won't be disappointed. Keep doing what you're doing. It's great!
You're welcome. Wouldn't be a bad idea to do the entire 2nd album called "Queen of the Murder Scene". It's a concept album with a really dark plot of unrequited love, insanity, and murder-suicide. As good as anything Pink Floyd or The Who ever did. ZERO filler songs! They did an album release concert at "Lunario" concert hall in 2018. They were 18, 16 and 13! Phenomenal.
Don Henley is perhaps the most famous singing drummer. He was a mainstay in the Eagles singing many of the bands biggest hits such as Hotel California, Take it easy, Lying Eyes and others. Plus he contributed to the many incredible harmony parts that the Eagles were so famous for singing. I saw him twice live - in neither case would you know he was drumming while singing. Or maybe Phil Collins is the man. Both in Genesis and his solo albums such as Face Value that featured In the Air Tonight, he more than held his own as the front man and drummer. The complexity of the drumming cant be challenged nor can his vocal skills. Those two are in the Hall Of Fame as singing drummers. Phil was the better drummer but Don the better singer, IMHO. There may be others but those two quickly came to mind.
the thing you have to remember is for them this is not early in their career they had been working at for 10 years just think about it these girls have been dedicated since childhood how many kids these days do you know with the attention span to learn an instrument let alone two or three as all three of them have they all sing all play piano one of them i forget which even plays the sax some what i started on cornet at a young age hated it switched to guitar at 15 but never really got serious until much later these girls have just worked at it non stop most of their young lives.
I mean... You actually said it all... As a person watching you watch them? We're experiencing something that feels generational. They will find themselves in the R&R HOF, and we're watching their transformation into superstars together.
Oh my GOD my friend! I've just heard the future of ROCK! A song that is not Metal, Grunge, Funky, Pop. That's all those, and not. But with their own sound, Z generation. New Era of Rock! This monster song that i suggest to check is SHARKS by Keep me Fed album! YOU DON'T REGRET, trust me!!!!!!!!!! The future is now! ❤
Song witten maybe 2016-2017 (prologue to the concept album queen of the murder scene) so they were maybe 16-17, 14-15 and 11-12 (ale wrote this line at this age) pau sing and drum at the same time since she plays drums (6 years old) one of her first drum teacher encouraged her to stay on point and rythm She 's a force of nature (and she is 5ft tall) they are Mtv push band this month. Check the live version of automatic sun (you've done the studio version) and you understand why live is their superpower
Yep, unbelievable but you better believe it, they are for real. On the headset microphone there is also some wizardry from the sound engineer for sure.
Dude you like Nightwish & The Warning you need to check out Band-Maid, they and The Warning just played together in Japan on June 12 and they did a collab all of them on the stage together that was unbelievable it's supposed to be in Band-Maids upcoming album and I can't wait. I recommend their song Play live if you like rock music check them out.
to answer your question about Pau's mic ... from what i understand, it's just that her mic line runs through a Noise Gate. i even think she can adjust it on the fly with one of the packs she's got on her hip.
Not only Pau's awesome vocals but that fill while Dany is belting at the end is amazing. Ale wrote the bassline preteen I believe all 3 are incredible performers this song blew me away first time I saw it. Great reaction thanks man. 🔥⚡
It is absolutely Illegal to have this much talent in one family!!!! It is certainly against all the laws of the world as we know it! Then again, once in a decade or two the forces align and create The Warning...an anomaly but just the way it is. Great reaction.
I'm sure it's been said here somewhere, but I've heard that Pau runs on a treadmill while singing when she practices, which if you ever tried running on a treadmill and even TALKING - if you're like me, you're gonna die.
It's not “Disgusting” that they are so good at such a young age. It's Miraculous. They are no longer considered a Young Band. They've been doing this for 11 years now. They are veterans. Pau is without question the best Singing/Drummer I've ever heard and seen perform in my 75 years.
I would be really interested to see you react to the videos that each on of them did for a TH-cam channel called Digital Tour Bus where they show their live rig rundown.
See how high the mics are above the drums and how close Pau's mic is to her mouth. Plus the amazing sound check that's done before thier show and the guy on the 'graphic equalizer' back stage.
At least you picked two really good rabbit holes to dive into with Nightwish and The Warning. You may be aware of it but Pau with a piano is capable of dragging your heart out and stomping on it. A couple of other good rabbit holes are Sabaton, which I see you have found, and Kamelot. BTW, good to see you discovering Ayreon also.
Not only does Pau drum and sing lead on some songs, she is also the main composer, lyrics writer and more recently directed their Que Mas Quieres video. A true renaissance woman.
I'm thinking that Pau's mic has noise cancelling, as well as being extremely directional toward her mouth. You can see when they're playing, she will adjust it quite a bit to keep it in proper range of her mouth. She has been drumming and singing since she was very young, so it's almost second nature to her. Her exercise regimen keeps her voice consistent. The only other drummer I know of that can sing and play as well as she does is Phil Collins.😉
I read an article about their father, and he is apparently a highly regarded sound engineer in Mexico. I also read that their instrument teachers/coaches frequently travel with them. It seems as though they are consistently working on their craft to get even better. As a follow-up to a previous comment, Pau does indeed run on the treadmill while singing. You should check out her cover of Creep. Just her and a piano. She kills!
Pau is so good that nobody notices she is playing singlehandedly during the beginning of the song because she was adjusting her in-ears with the left hand.
This band really appeals to musos. They are musos' musos. More than anyone else they realize the simple magnificence of what they achieve everywhere, everytime.
Something to keep in mind when you feel a bit envious of all the talent these ladies have. Yeah, they hit the genetic lottery when it came to talent, but that famous video in their basement 10 years ago could’ve easily been their peak. So many people have their viral moment, and they just bask in it and then let it go by. These three sisters grabbed it and decided to retool their whole lives around this band that they’d had for just about a year. They did Tedx talks and the Ellen show and got enough money to go to the Berklee School of Music, and have put in the long hours to really hone their talents to a sharp edge. One moment really gets to me. There’s a tenth anniversary mini-documentary that’s posted in their channel (they showed it during the concert at the Pepsi Center where the live version of “Hell You Call a Dream” was shot) and the interviewer asks Dany what the price has been for having a ten year old band at the age of 24, and Dany just stops and repeats the phrase “the price…” and although she never says it out loud, you can be sure she’s thinking about all the things and experiences that she and her sisters have given up to do all this. They love being in front of an audience and sharing their music, but “Hell You Call a Dream” is about how much they hate doing the touring that lets them do the performing that they love. That’s what impresses me the most about these three sisters. Not their God-given talents, but the discipline that they had to show over 11 years and more to keep at it.
“El precio” with tears in her eyes. That gutted me. In more recent interviews, however, they’ve said they missed a lot of things but absolutely love what they do.

Those two are in the Hall Of Fame as singing drummers. Phil was the better drummer but Don the better singer, IMHO.
There may be others but those two quickly came to mind.
Karen Carpenter was queen of playing drums while singing
the thing you have to remember is for them this is not early in their career they had been working at for 10 years just think about it these girls have been dedicated since childhood how many kids these days do you know with the attention span to learn an instrument let alone two or three as all three of them have they all sing all play piano one of them i forget which even plays the sax some what i started on cornet at a young age hated it switched to guitar at 15 but never really got serious until much later these girls have just worked at it non stop most of their young lives.
Don Henley does it, in Hotel California, but the intro is more relaxed.
I mean... You actually said it all... As a person watching you watch them? We're experiencing something that feels generational. They will find themselves in the R&R HOF, and we're watching their transformation into superstars together.
They aren’t human, I tell ya they’re aliens or angels sent here to grace our ear holes 🤘🏻
They've been up and coming for over 10 years.
,,and all because three little girls got ROCK BAND as a present and got wholehearted support from their parents!
1:54 Difficulty Level Increased: Singing and drumming ONE-HANDED while adjusting her wireless pack and never missing a beat.
The absolute peak of this song is the perfect seamless handoff from Pau to Dany for the very final vocal lament notes.
If you want to hear more Pay check out breathe, 23, and black holes.
Song witten maybe 2016-2017 (prologue to the concept album queen of the murder scene) so they were maybe 16-17, 14-15 and 11-12 (ale wrote this line at this age)
pau sing and drum at the same time since she plays drums (6 years old) one of her first drum teacher encouraged her to stay on point and rythm
She 's a force of nature (and she is 5ft tall)
they are Mtv push band this month. Check the live version of automatic sun (you've done the studio version) and you understand why live is their superpower
Yep, unbelievable but you better believe it, they are for real. On the headset microphone there is also some wizardry from the sound engineer for sure.
If you go back in time and check out their stuff when they were young , you will know why they are as great as they are now!!!!!
That whole frisking concert was amazing, but I love the song "Queen of the Murder Scene". Hard rock with lots of changes. Just wonderful.
Highly illegal , but real ! Lol.
See how high the mics are above the drums and how close Pau's mic is to her mouth. Plus the amazing sound check that's done before thier show and the guy on the 'graphic equalizer' back stage.
Dude, Paulina, the Drummer, she sings while jogging the treadmill just so she can have breath control while performing on live on the kit.
pau the drummer literally trains by jogging miles while singing the entire time to be able to do this. interview info. so cool.
Think Pau's mike is very directional so it doesn't pick up much from anywhere but where it's pointed.
Totally agree, Jimmy. I think many TWA will enjoy Skillet, for those who haven't given them a listen.
🔥⚡🤘I sub for The Warning ! You can react to any song from the Teatro Metropolitan show, they're all great. 🤘⚡🔥
Has anyone mentioned that Pau was named by Forbes Magazine as one of the top 100 most influential women in Mexico ?
You failed to mention Don Henley when talking about drumming and singing.
She's Doing Such A Fantastic Job !!!
Of Course She Is
She's
PUH PAU !!!
The Warning has more than 60 songs, and all of them are really good, not filling songs. So you will have a lot of material with them.
She kills!
Karen Carpenter could play drums a sing from the Carpenters
Pau is so good that nobody notices she is playing singlehandedly during the beginning of the song because she was adjusting her in-ears with the left hand.
Ale is an awsome bass player. She doesn't get the credit she deserves.
And this was preformed at over 7000 ft. Mexico City ❤❤❤❤
Dani's wail was in ONE BREATH!
A good 10 seconds.
And that wail lasted 11 seconds. 👍
As well as playing that main riff at the same time. That's no small feat!
So early in their career? They have been at it over 10 years, longer than Led Zeppelin existed.
As I said before, they get better every song''Very talented young ladys''
Some loser in the comments said Ale's bass parts are simple, and she just stands there looking pretty. That is just total BS.
The warning is awesome band listen more about This in live
Phil Collins, another singing drummer. It's a rare phenomenon to have clean vocals while drumming. Love it. This band is incredible.
Pau practices singing while running on a treadmill.
❤❤❤🤘🤘🤘⚡⚡⚡

I want these three sisters to take over the world because they deserve it so much 👊🏼
They are getting there rather quickly. I predicted when the new album drops it will happen. Well it's happening. They are like an out of control locomotive.
The whole Teatro Metro concert is 🔥🔥🔥
Deberías reaccionar a The Warning- Enter Sandman live Teatro Metropolitan CDMX.
These girls are legends in the making.
Phil Collins was also a pretty good singing drummer.
