This deserves millions of likes and subs. Love the vid and the advice!!!! I’m inbetween the 10 or 12. I might get the 12 since I listen to a lot of rap and need the lows!!
Best Amp I have ever owned is my JL Audio 500/1! I have used it in so many systems and rides for over 20 years with so many subs combos and currently with a single JL 10W3v3-4 that sounds out of this world!#JL Audio🔊👑✨
I really enjoyed this video a lot it was really funny you sound juts like me!!!😂😂 one minute your satisfied the next minute I need MORE BASS more power more amps ! How much more till the Neibors hate me 😂
@camerondunham5559 get a good amplifier with a bass knob and a good head unit with a Sub bass output. Then you can control exactly how much bass you want at anytime
Thanks for checking out the video! JL made something great when they designed the bass wedge box. I'm curious to see how the competitors loaded pre-fab enclosures compare.
how will one of these sound in a 2023 civic hatchback sport I have a P3 112 powered Rockford Fosgate looking to either get the pre-loaded 12 oh in the JL box will it carry better Lows .😊
@@jeffrothegamer Do your self a favor , and just have a custom box built at 32 Hz for the Rockford - then go from there . Don't waste any more money on prefab boxes please . There's So Many videos of folks using even the Cheapest $40 subs in a great box with clean wattage . The results are amazing . That would be more bang for your buck in the long run , and quite frankly, I could Almost guarantee you'll be extremely happy
Standing tuning nowadays for lows is 32Hz And for super loud , rattle your car apart bass - like in this video , is higher like around 42 -45 Hz . Have a blessed day , and Bass on !! 😂 5:42

I wish I new what the box is tuned to. In my experience the subs are only as good as the box. If you want to hit the lower notes you have to design a box and tune it lower. Prefab boxes are normally not so great.
I agree, manufacturers should put ALL of the specs in the user manual, I couldn't find the tune of the box either. But it's just cheaper and easier to buy prefab if you don't have the space/tools to build a good box.
@@fourtwentybuddyoh heck no buddy . I've never Ever heard of a prefab tuned that low ever never . Unless you made a typo , sir ?!! It might be tuned around 35 - 40 Hz ish Or possibly even a little higher like 43 Hz .

I have this same sub but it doesn’t shake my mirror near hard. I’m using the jd500/1 I have the gains set via multimeter but it’s just not hitting like every video I’ve seen Any suggestions ?
Take out the subs and check the wiring in the box to make sure there's not a loose wire and make sure it's wired down to 2ohm to get the 500 watt RMS. If it's not the wiring then I would try a different amp.
hello if the woofer is 600w rms and the amp is 500, how work this combo ? amp not get issues if the W is less than woofer ? thanks ps. what do you think 10 inch version (CP210) is ok as bass ?
@@elijahgaines9766 if that ends up seeming like too much for them, I would get an 800 watt rms amplifier. JL amps usually push higher wattage than rated so that's also something to pay attention to.
That’s a tough one, cause both brands have such amazing sound quality. I’d say overall, JBL. Even lower mid tier JBL has such clean sound and hits extremely well.

Thanks for watching. Unfortunately I don't have the Amp anymore, but I'll try and pull from my non photragphic memory and remember how I had it set. I'm going to refer to where I had it set to the numbers on a clock. I don't really remember the other settings lmao there was too many for me. Hope this helps.
Make sure to let everyone know that when you make your video. You've uncovered some unknown knowledge you should pass on. Disconnecting the subwoofer when tuning it, might be the dumbest thing I've ever read. But of course you're more than welcome to do it your way :) It's your right to be a dumbass

I never fired these subs to the front in this video so your comment is a little confusing but I still appreciate your comment and thank you for your input :)
