Sitting in a truck stop n having breakfast listening to these ol boys is what it's all about.....how it was n still should be but never will be.....hats off to you fellas.
What a great character. There are a lot of young blokes out there who could take a leaf out of Jim Hair's book. Keep on Truckin' Jim. Great story Bruce.
My dad had a superliner, and carted cattle along side jimmy hair in the day,yep jims right back then truck drivers fixed there own gear, worked more hours then anyone today and did stop and help a mate out if they needed it,times have changed ,great doco👍 jim hasnt changed a bit in thirty years.
I've lost count of the number of times I've seen this truck on the roads of Queensland. Old school trucking at its best. The way it was when I was on the road. Great video, thanks
You can tell it’s an old video, partly by the tiny sleeper, would have to be from the 1980s wouldn’t it? I like the way he says no one stops for a talk or a coffee like in the old days, people are saying the exact same thing today years later! In fact they were saying the same thing when I started interstate in 1981! By the way, who doesn’t like a V8 Mack with an air start. Just about all our Superliners in Australia were like that, apparently in North America they were mainly 6 cylinders with electric start.
Yes, he mentioned the roads having been upgraded since floods in 2008. The tractor that loads him up with round hay bales is a more recent Case IH model too. His Superliner is an oldie though. It has the rectangular quad headlights of the mid-80s Superliner update.
Yeah missed that. Bit hard understanding the Queensland accent haha. I still stand by what I said about people talking about the good old days, I started interstate in 1981 and they were complaining about lack of camaraderie back then! But if you look at Facebook they were the best days!
That's it just whack a Tank Engine in, no missing about, can just imagine the environmentalists, love the simplicity of this lifestyle,,shame that the fellas are on such a tight deadline can't take a chat and a coffee
This is rather a commentary on what's gone wrong with the world... You can't fix a computer with a nut and bolt out a box of odds and ends and a couple of spanners out of your carry along tool kit...
Bruce Honeywell has been around Australian transport media for decades. I think he is recycling these old videos as he cannot get out like he could previously because of the Wuhan 'flu.
Love how Jim addresses Bruce by name each time he speaks! Real Aussie old school gentleman
What a great yarn from a salt of the earth Aussie. Thanks for bringing it my way.
Tough drivers who can repair their old Warriors, hard working Dogs, great V8-sound ! The Greatest Name ...
Sitting in a truck stop n having breakfast listening to these ol boys is what it's all about.....how it was n still should be but never will be.....hats off to you fellas.

And that I had and used several models assembled in Iran
Models F700 and R600
Didn't know Jim but I spent many days keeping Colin Nixon company on the Mantuan run. Been bogged a few times during the wet in 1954.

gm16v149 wasn’t made in the 80’s because he talks about something about 2008

Yeah someone put a box in it at some stage too cause they came out with a 9 or 12.
How about a cabover KW with a V8 Cat engine?
Cool video. That tractor driver nearly bloody lost that cover!
Thrill Seeker!
Old skoool truckah ! Old boy workin like hes still in his 20s ! Trucka to look upto ! Along with my oldman Raaawjaaah
Today's truckers would sit in there air con cab and wait days for a mechanic to arrive
Yep.
Because most drivers don’t have a choice. The bosses decided they don’t trust their drivers to do anything but drive!
tank engine ! nice
They don't make em like that anymore!! Trucks and people!
Absolutely brilliant! But someone buy Jim a Kenworth. He deserves it!
I love this truck from Joseph Egan
That's it just whack a Tank Engine in, no missing about, can just imagine the environmentalists, love the simplicity of this lifestyle,,shame that the fellas are on such a tight deadline can't take a chat and a coffee
Love it
only understand 12 % but I like it
Respect
Where has he mounted his Ice Pack? I cannot see it and I wonder if he has Bluetooth.
Gosto de asistir tôdos os vídeos mais se possivel em português não entendo nada de inglês

Astralia i like the way they cross watter no expensive ridge to cross a stream
Bet he wishes he had a dollar for every time he lifted that bullbar up.
This is rather a commentary on what's gone wrong with the world...

🤠👌🏼👍🏻
👌👍
just a dead set aussie legend
That’s not a R model. It’s a superliner
Not the most comfortable truck but last of the good Macks in my opinion
I wonder what the interviewers name is?
I think its Bruce but its a wild guess
Bruce Honeywell has been around Australian transport media for decades. I think he is recycling these old videos as he cannot get out like he could previously because of the Wuhan 'flu.
Soma places if it got realy cold you would want a colvert pipe i know if it got realy cold you wouldent want to cross those brooks that way
Old school Mack’s are the best no DEF no Computers non EGR all brute mechanical power presented by Bull dog Mack
