Great ideas..we've come a long ways from 1 tube of glue, a pair of nail clippers and two paintbrushes..haha I fondly remember those days building my first Tamiya 1/35 German Infantrymen and Armour circa 1975...purchased from my local friendly hobby shop in Everett WA owner was a WW2 Army AirCoros Veteran named " Sig" great guy ...great store..great memories saving up my allowance ( Armour kits were less than 5 bucks then) allot has changed....good modeling everyone...BJT

Back when I was a kid , around the time plastic was invented the only work bench and storage I had was out old kitchen table and a couple of Converse gym shoe boxes !!! This is much nicer. I think I'll take up model building once more.

Just found your channel. I use to make model cars as a kid. Something I always enjoyed. But life happened. Now I'm 33 and I've been thinking more and more about getting back into model making. Scale model ships have really caught my eye. But I have no clue as to where to begin. What to get for tools or what kind of work space I'll need to start. But this has definetly helped me out. I had no clue they made systems like this.

Thank you so much. I viewed the same model sets before in your demo on another video. All of my paints and tools have been scattered and separated since constant moving. Its time to organise all as I mentioned. This is very useful. ☺

When I put my hobby zone units together, I found it best to use some 18mm model tape to hold the unit together while the glue dried. Also “don’t glue any draw inserts together as you will chop and change the units configuration as you find a setup the suits you best. The biggest mistake I made was putting in the magnets in when builds the units. I found it’s best to set up the units how you want them first, then start from one side and work your way around putting in the magnets. The magnets have a positive and negative pole, so putting them in the wrong way round is very easy, have a 4”nail or a 4mm flat head punch to remove the magnets that are in position but the wrong way around. I found out these things the hard way, but the units are awesome when set up and everything is within reach.

The trick in finding what your looking for.
Is to remember to put it back in its nest when finished . Otherwise you'll be cursing yourself pulling out every drawer.

Anything sturdier? I had the paint module and after 3 months it had warped sections from spills and teeth that broke off from just daily use. I didnt buy the drawer units because sturdier units were already in place that i built from cheap white wood from home depot. This euro laser cut stuff could be much better if they used abs or a poly material. The tool holder was bought by a friend and he could not find many tools besides brushes and xacto knives would fit.
The sprue holder is a nice idea but better versions exist for much less made from washable abs.
