I really hope they learn from their mistakes and fix the chat restrictions. I get it, its a kids game. And some things need to be in place. But- I've had social media since i was 11. I feel like most kids know about social media nowadays. People would actually be able to have alot of fun with the game if they allowed people to communicate with eachother through other means. I mean they have the Jambassadrors. Who are youtubers. People including themselves stream on the game. But when you try and advertise a stream, they make it difficult.
I totally agree with this! A friend of mine and I were testing the limits of the chat limitations and you can't said pride or rainbow. I even tried to phrase pride as in "I went on a safari today and saw a pride of lions" and AJ blocked it cause it could be inappropriate
It's so frustrating getting chat banned just for saying simple things like TH-cam or Selena Gomez. They were making a more friendly kids version of this game but it got scrapped in 2016 or 2015

It's due to the COPPA laws that are put in place to protect children's identities and their personal information while they're in an online setting. COPPA Law: The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) was signed into law on October 21, 1998. COPPA prohibits unfair or deceptive acts or practices in connection with the collection, use, or ***disclosure of personally identifiable information from and about children on the Internet.*** Since the game is targeted towards younger audiences and has a demographic that is suitable for kids, it must comply with the COPPA law. However, if they were to adjust their age limits and marketing toward teens/older persons (like most of us are, because we grew up with the game) and not kids, they could 100% do this. I'm not sure if they would, since their original games are targeted and made specifically to appeal to the younger generations, but who knows. Maybe Clark will do something about it. (I'm not very certain he will. But you never know. People change.)
I wish they make a higher quality less laggy version of Aj but still kept it 2d, i think the game being 2d is the thing that keeps aj special (+ no cultural appropriative items and changing rares and wanted items)

i suggested a couple years back consistently to animal jam HQ to bring back/make an animal jam 2 that consists of beta days, a seperate app that lets people experience the old AJ classic
So from what I’m getting, they hope to rerender AJ classic with WebGL now? That would be so great, since the current graphics of the ‘3d’ animals in game look really bad. Also hopefully that means we can get multiple colours for our animals now.
I'm actually very scared. We're going to have to start over again from scratch, get our hopes up, and the possibility of it being shut down after the fall of feral and cinder (cinder in and of itself was a massive discouragement, and the way it got shut down was predictable but also scary) is very high. The only thing encouraging me is their commitment to animal jam all these years, but it feels like standing on a rickety old bridge; it could fall at any second with no warning, no communication, just gone and us left falling without a clue (I might as well enter for the long, my username is aerosmyth)
I highly doubt they'll let this game fall especially since the company been trying to find ways to update classic and ig it so happened to be a fresh new game. idm a fresh start, if we get an update it could possibly mean new players, new items, new friends. maybe cause I had to restart so many times out of the years I played it, I don't really care about the items anyways.

I think it should be fine. From what I can tell, they're just re-rendering models, updating graphics and giving our old best friend a new look. It shouldn't mess with the old features, but more than likely add some fun new ones!

It's not necessarily a new game, they're just updating graphics and adding new features to the old Classic as well as rebuilding on WebGL so they can actually give us fun updates without having to rely on the old Flashplayer based Animal Jam. I also agree that there wouldn't be any need for a third Animal Jam game, but lucky for us, this isn't a whole separate game from Classic. It's Classic, but for the modern day. Something that they're going to be able to update very easily for us.
Aj should make it to where it’s actually possible to trade an exact amount of items for the specific worth like a headdress, for example. We should be able to trade OVER the 20 items limit to prevent scams.

It's a good question. From what I know of, WebGL does not require flashplayer, so that's why they're rebuilding it with WebGL. It should be all of the fun and updates without having to rely on something that's not around anymore.

It's so cringe that this game is free to play. Doesn't overcharge from microtransactions like most games doesn't charge $80 to start up like most games. I'm Canadians so maybe it's not $80 for a game anyway but for me it is anyways nothing is free. Food costs, money? Electricity cost money? Would you yell at your internet provider for not giving you free internet? No. So why do you expect this game to be fully free? The mini games will be free. The chat feature will be free. You can go in almost all locations or all locations for free. There will be clothing items and other things that you can get that will cost gems instead of sapphires. You're giving so many options to succeed and you can complain that a free-to-play game has micro transactions. I'm tired of spending 80 Canadian dollars on a game filled with micro transactions. I wouldn't believe the other person that commented. We don't know for sure and even Clark doesn't know for sure, since Nazara Technologies are the ones working on the project while Clark is less than a supervisor right now. Nazara has provided all of the funding for the game's rework, so we will just have to see. Even if we have to start over, if they release all of the items that we've had, we won't need to slave away trying to trade up for them or fight over them.

Clark stacey mentioned in a super recent interview that wild works has no plan to get rid of AJ Classic and and that’s it’s not going anywhere

I would rather make micro transactions than have no privacy and to be walking around taking pictures of my house and cupboards because that's how those other companies make money by seeing what you like and advertising as such. Anyways remember that Nothing is free. At least this game didn't cost $80 to start and then have the rest of the content locked with $60 in DLC and $400 in Micro transactions to get all of the let's say guns in the game. I'm referring to Call of duty costing $80, having loot boxes and then charging you for DLC. I love Animal Jam. I'm happy with the micro transactions. They're reasonably priced. It's only like $5 a token and I can sell it for $200 in in game currency so like 5000 sapphires something really important to take into consideration is that most games cost $80 and then you get maybe a year or two out of them these free to play games. Keep getting updates so we're basically getting a new game because so much changes. Most games i've bought I don't play anymore. The free to play games are the ones that I'm still on the best part is I have friends that play these free to play games with me but they didn't know they could get into not there Jam initially and they would have never spent money start playing but because the game is free to play they could take a shot with ease and Now some of those friends spend more money on these free to play games and I would in a lifetime like I'm talking every single collab that comes out instead game they buy the content for which supports the business. So that's a good Thing I'm sorry. Bald feminist but equalism wins. I support real feminism, not modern, screaming, angry 12-year-old children that want everything handed to them in life I'm happy to make my micro transactions because everyone deserves to fully survive aka Buy clothes and put food in their kids mouth. Maybe you didn't know this but some people are spending $3,000 a month on rent just for a tiny apartment building and other people are homeless... I don't know why people think their internet and everything should be free because that's just a form of stupidity. Maybe they don't work for a living and they're just some 12-year-old complaining because they don't have money from mommy and daddy. But that doesn't mean this game's is and is ever really going to be fully free. Sorry little Children That Don't Pay For Nothing Maybe they don't know what it's like to have to pay rent, but there's fully grown adults that go to work every single day. This isn't just some fun toy. Some la la Land imagination crap. There's people in office buildings. There's people creating real ass s*** this isn't some free trampoline to jump on lol. People have to work for a living. People are sitting in a chair at a desk all day long.. Wishing to be home with their families eating laughing creating music but no There WORKING HARD these people they have to work all day and stupid people like you expect everything for free. Nothing is free either. You're giving an advertisement by holding that free water bottle that was handed out to you for "free' or you're taking pictures of buildings and houses and different things to send to the companies which you sign the Terms agreement or better option there's a $5 micro transaction and I'm totally fine with that because every other game is charging $30 literally look at other game currencies Just something small like a pat will cost $20 realistically speaking Look at how horrible the other companies are. Look at how accessible this game is for just $10 a month. Most games want $80 a month Look how much it cost to buy bundles and other games, skins, characters, pets and other games. I spent $1,000 on Fortnite. I have some characters and some funny looking items. Ultimately I spent $20 on a character or pet instead of the one or two dollars this game cost nothing On top of $80 they charged you to start playing on top of the $60 for DLC so you need to grow up. This is the closest we're getting to anything being free. I'm just so sick like I literally was in a sapphire shop while there is a countdown to the new Galaxy token and someone was complaining that it costed money. Like do you get to shower for free? Do you get to wipe your bum for free? Do you get to eat for free? Do you get a roof over your head for free? Did all the toys you get growing up? Are they free? No and the only free to play games give you an ad every 5 seconds. I'm so happy with animal jam being free to play game with micro transactions. It's the best alternative and sometimes I don't have a lot of money so I skip the box or whatever the token. Whatever I still have my account though

From what I know of, WebGL does not require flashplayer, so that's why they're rebuilding it with WebGL. It should be all of the fun and updates without having to rely on something that's not around anymore.

It's so cringe that this game is free to play. Doesn't overcharge from microtransactions like most games doesn't charge $80 to start up like most games. I'm Canadians so maybe it's not $80 for a game anyway but for me it is anyways nothing is free. Food costs, money? Electricity cost money? Would you yell at your internet provider for not giving you free internet? No. So why do you expect this game to be fully free? The mini games will be free. The chat feature will be free. You can go in almost all locations or all locations for free. There will be clothing items and other things that you can get that will cost gems instead of sapphires. You're giving so many options to succeed and you can complain that a free-to-play game has micro transactions. I'm tired of spending 80 Canadian dollars on a game filled with micro transactions. I'm happy with this game having negotransaction everybody deserves to survive. I know tattoo artists that have people ask. Can I pay later or can I have it for free? Or if you do this can I have it for free? It's like bo buddy Are you disabled like nothing is free? Okay get that through your head. I'm just glad that some people won't have the money and they can still access the game and chat with their friends and do other things. No one's forcing you to make Michael transactions no. We don't know for sure and even Clark doesn't know for sure, since Nazara Technologies are the ones working on the project while Clark is less than a supervisor right now. Nazara has provided all of the funding for the game's rework, so we will just have to see.
Even if we have to start over, if they release all of the items that we've had, we won't need to slave away trying to trade up for them or fight over them.
