I was just telling my mom about how I feel like AJ actually taught me a lot of life lessons. I felt kind of silly saying something like that out loud, but it's genuinely so cool to hear someone having similar thoughts and experiences too!
the part abt not wanting to do anything other then play aj is so real. i got me entire class into it and then the next year they all hated it and made fun of me LMAO but I still loved it.
I related to a LOT of these experiences! I learned a lot about being aware of potential dangers online from either getting hacked, scammed, or manipulated by larger creators to the point where I screenshot and document my interactions whenever I feel unsafe. If it weren’t for animal jam, I wouldn’t have discovered my passion for animation and I wouldn’t be in a really famous art school. I really appreciate hearing your story, I don’t feel as alone now with everything I went through. I’m looking forward to seeing your channel revived!
I love love the fact that it is the older jambassadors, nothing wrong with the newer ones, but I just wish the older one were still around too. Bepper and Gelly are my personal old favorites while Azure, Queen Wolf, and Galaxy Mintz! And there’s a ton of non jambassadors that I still love in fact!

I think that Animal Jam CAN and will take you somewhere/teach you important things especially if you set your mind to it, we live in a world were we have alot more technology and things then we knews to and knowing things like editing, and just things like that nowadays can really take you somewhere and maybe even help you find what you enjoy doing. The moving part sounded like quite the chaos though 😭. I’m glad to see Animal Jam going in a positive direction again, it was quite dead for awhile!
I feel similar to the same way with the "childhood trauma." I remember when I was like 10 years old freaking out when I got my first long spiked collar lmaooo.. Memories...

a little late to this one but thank you so much for sharing this, i cannot imagine going through this, im glad you were able to assert boundaries in the end and im so so sorry that you ended up regretting it. It sounded like you were just hoping for a good time together and perhaps they took advantage of the fact you were young and did not know any better. I hope your in a much better place now, and its refreshing to see that you still love the game despite what you went through! I know myself I had trouble with certain jambassadors and boundaries nowhere near to this extent but once upon a time i used to draw for animal jam items when i was 16-17 and I feel like the older popular youtube crowd definitely took advantage of me and my naivety. I too was just excited to recieve the cool in game items and share my art but it became something kind of sinister, grudges were held if I choose non jambassadors over jambassadors to draw for, items agreed upon were changed after hours of work, or my artwork was sold on merch when I explicitly asked for it not to be as I wasn't offering it for monetary gain. It definitely shaped the way I view offering my art to people now, for better or for worse.
I discovered animal jam from this video, that and people asking me if I am the Skorm from Aj, but anyways this was a fun watch to say the least, I am interested in this community (not to play ) but to see and honestly it’s fun to see a cute game like this make a comeback, especially since it used to be a flash! But great video all around you got a new subscriber ^^
I sort of "grew up" with your old animal jam youtube videos and it's so cool you see you come back to visit even if it is just to tell this story and everything. I never knew animal jam yters were ever close enough to do this kind of stuff. I knew of the meet-ups and constant vcing but nothing this crazy! I can relate to so much of this I had a year and a half were things were BAD with how crazy I was into animal jam and doing like funny kind of delusional stuff in calls that sounds embarrassing now
Basically on ajpw you can earn saphires that are basically the same as diamonds by playing minigames. Start with an easy game like touchpool. Then after aquiring 100 saphires (and do not spend them on anything before that) buy a shop then make alt accounts where you farm easy games like touchpool and you can farm a little more if you want but your main revenue will be touchpool. Anyway after aquiring 600 saphires you can buy 1 month membership .
I like animal jam but hate it like I can only play it for a few weeks it really is time consuming and everyone on it acts like you can never get off it which was annoying I didn’t like spending hours on it except for dressing characters and the houses 😅😆
moving in with another animal jam player sounds like a terrible experience let alone actually living through it

As someone being 21 and seeing the resurgence of Animal Jam, this brings tears to my eyes.
