Typically wobbly rotators are caused by insufficient grease at the rotator in question, this can also become an issue when the idlers aren't properly lubed either. I would recommend replacing the speaker bulkhead as the melted side is a lost cause and will only get worse as the bar ages. Overall Good Job.

It just had so much play in the plastic gears. I know the way i did it isn't the right way. But if its just a display piece and you want to save money and time trying to find new pieces. This is an alternative way.

Nice job! Can you tell me if those bulb posts will accept a bayonet 1156 bulb? I see those are halogen but I'm wondering about that collar with the screw. I just bought one out of state with those collars and halogen bulbs but hoping I can use the 1156 to knock my amp draw down.

If you find one with that flange, yes, it would be a direct replacement. If you can only find the quarter turn style bulbs. As long as the inside diameter of the socket will allow the bulb to go inside. Then yes, you can retrofit them. To do that, you would have to change the conector from a push on to something it can sit on like the quarter turn style. Then, there would be a few ways. One is to just push it down and wedge it in place. Or where those screws went in, take a pair of snips and make the notches just next to those holes to make the quarter turn style nothes and where the screw was thats where the pins on the bulbs will lock into. If the socket is too large for the bulb, then get some lead. Get one of the vent caps for your roof at Home Depot and cut some small strips to wrap around the bulb to take up space and push down inside. If the lead is to think, you can hammer it a little to thin it down. Let me know if any of these help you out.

How do we take the lenses on and off

@Domsgenerallandscape the lenses are held on with two screws on each end. Take those out and slide the lenses outward from the center.
Or if you mean the reflector, those have a nut on the underside. Undo the silver plate they are attached to, and you'll see the nuts. Will have to cut the wires to remove.

@Domsgenerallandscape if its being stubborn spray a little silicone spray or WD 40 along the bottom on the rubber gasket. And just slow wiggle it and pull slowly. Ive had some not want to move. And thats what i do.
