I am disabled and have 10... maybe 11 months to live. If there was a way, I'd go to Vietnam and eat the rest of my life away. Given the choice between Paris and Vietnam? Vietnam wins hands down. I am the sort of person who is adventurous and would try anything. I've had some fascinating things during my life. I wish I had more time so that I could try more fascinating foods from other cultures. More than that, I hope that some of you will be able to experience many different food options from around the world. The world is about so much more than burgers and fries.
To me you're the richest person in the world coz you're able to travel every country to try out evey kind of food in the world so you're the richest person and thank you for the video love it ❤
@@FoodandArmwrestling thank you. I have been working on my latest video for months. It should be up soon. It goes deep into history (Barcelona, Sardinia, Saint George's Cross, Symbolism behind many of the famous buildings, etc!) Checking out your channel now.
Thanks for starting my day off, Sonny! Edit: Wow. A full length feature film! This was an amazing tour of seafood! I enjoyed it all! If only I could have tasted it.Vietnamese seafood is delicious
Great show Sonny! Good job. I travel to Vietnam often to try all different foods in VN. Hopefully we will meet in VN see you live in action. I would love to give you a tour in VN.
Sharks and rays have a high amount of urea in their bodies and if you do not bleed them out and get them in water or ice quickly the ammonia unpleasantness can set in. Some people like to marinade the meat in milk before grilling it. Fun upload to watch for sure!

You gotta cheat or work your ass off. When you get off work, spend your free time reading and learning a new skill like coding or networking. You can level up. Shit is just wayyyy harder than it's ever been in human history. Gl@@XannnaGG
Lmao the snail "let me do it for you". I really like that he isnt apologetic at all. People bitch and moan about animal welfare or whatever. He is sampling thw foods of the world. Period. He doesnt pander to any groups. I love that.
First of all let me say I love your videos Sonny sadly I have never visited Vietnam, but I've been to their neighbor Thailand, and I loved the food, the people, and the country all together, seeing that Tiger beer took me back 30 year's! The food looks delicious hope I can try it out one day!
you have to try DIWAL or angel wings cllam shell in the philippines particularly in capiz province. the taste is like half oyster and abalone. and its divine to eat. it is very limited to catch because of its rarity.
47:55 Even sitting here, months later, and thousands of miles away, I LOVE the aesthetic and description of that last course (of this segment, anyway.) I genuinely wish I were wealthy enough to just go swing by any random location across the globe to try all these local foods from locations far beyond my wildest, Midwestern/Southern dreams. I'll suck the guts out of every crayfish, and (if he's rich enough), the chrome off a trailer hitch...as long as you dont tell my wife 😆. I have always been an extremely "adventurous" eater. My family went all across the country for vacation when I was a kid so I got to try all sorts of different, "scary" foods. It never seemed strange to me, likely thanks to my maternal grandparents. I fell in love with seafood during our trips to Florida, to the surprise of my family. Then I became more enamored with more "exotic" cuts of meat (organs, marrow, etc.) And as an adolescent (during a drive from central Indiana to Las Vegas), I learned how much I loved crayfish at a couple buffets along the way. Once my dad stopped gagging after watching me be taught how to eat everything in a crawdad by an old Cajun woman, he sarcastically bought a couple "bug-laced" suckers, he starting getting dizzy/light-headed by seeing ny little ass yanking a scorpion/spider/beetle out of candy. My point in discussing all this is that I LOVE the idea of eating things you see as "unusual" sure to your personal cultural environment. People in our country (the US) are far too proud to try a huge majority of things that are eaten in other regions. Not only does that seem stupid to me, it also comes across as arrogant, narcissistic, ignorant, and idiotic. There are a lot of things that are edible in this world that you've likely never considered if you're never sought out those experiences, regardless of where you've come from.
Love your show so exciting very educational and funny scarry sometimes I fear for you& your companions safety in some countries you visit just to share us food I never imagined existed watching your show is like me traveling the world too you're a natural and the best food blogger ❤
Last time Sonny had that bad sting ray liver, all or parts of it was likely sitting around too long. From experience: even sitting in a refrigerator for 3 days, shark and sting ray would spoil almost to the point of being inedible. The taste of urine or ammonia would be a sign.
Wait did they really not remove the Gills on that crab (@6:45)? Gills also known as "Dead Man Finger's" because of their appearance, are notoriously nasty, bitter and are really rubbery. They are usually removed before cooking or eating. Now don't get me wrong, I'm all for keeping the crab gets/tamale/mustard inside because that's good eating and where some of the best flavor from the crab comes from and I firmly believe in not wasting anything and trying your best to use every you can from an animal...But there's really nothing good or useful about the Gills and they are basically inedible and should be removed because they make the rest of the crab insides all bitter and nasty.
Love your show sonny ❤❤❤I am just curious have you ever tried eating blob fish😅 correct me if I'm wrong I saw on TH-cam a Japanese cooking it have you tried it before 😊
When I was young i used to eat ray's liver so many time my grandma always told me the liver itself must be super fresh and do not disturb the liver too much also wash and drain all the blood and it will have no fishiness at all i guess thailand and vietnam cooking method are very much similar
Sonny knew what he was doing with that abalone 😂😂😂😂 … His wife said can I try the isopod ramen? Sonny said sorry, there’s only 1 Sonny bite for this dish. 😂
27:46 . You can't appreciate that more. 36:18 is funny as hell. if you believe in it. Cephalopoda, I simply disagree in eating, excluding some. That's just me. Do what you want.
