      i like your answer dear jewish cousin...these videos taught me alot as a tunisian about the israelis in their daily life and i find alot of similarity between tunisians mindset and the normal sefarid mindset ...i mean the way of thinking ...and i remarked that you are completley diefferent from the mindset of the eastern arabs who i was surprised to see their llack of conciousness even about their conflict with israel and the conception of what is happening araound them .....i understood why israel is strong and won 4 wars on arabs of the east and i underline the arabs of the east ....you have agreat education system and they a completely destructive education system...zero analytical and critical reasonning...even when he asks them about hummus you see the israeli joke about it but am sure if he asks a palstinian he will take it seriously ...and i understand why my country tunisia succeded in turning into democracy and the rest to chaos ...not because of israel planned that as much naives think but because of the lack of real informed and thinking socities...in such a case even if israel did not exist at all i think they would have the same wars and misery ...no freedom no education gives us walking deads ...even teir understanding of religion of islam is so superficial and bothering ...i wonder those who build al andalus can not be like this and could not have thntality

      Beni Habibi Most Israelis today have and still relate to their Arabian backgrounds and traditions. Imagine cultures to be colours. Many multicultural countries, when they get new cultures, add them to a rainbow. However Israel mixes them all in to make a brown.
      This has its merits. However to assume that some individuals, Israelis who serve Hummus in their restaurants, don't at all still claim a distinct Arabian heritage which allows them the cultural right to create the foods of other lands than Israel.

    • @snakey934Snakeybakey
      @snakey934Snakeybakey 9 ปีที่แล้ว +32

      ofek zelig true, but still, i do not consider them to be Arabs. many of the Mizrahi Jews i have known do not consider themselves Arabs, said one of my old schoolmates of Yemeni descent "if we were their fellow Arabs, they wouldn't have oppressed and expelled us"
      that is why i continue to say that there are no Ashkenazi and Mizrahi, we are all simply one Israel. we are not Arabs, and we are not European. we are just Israel.

    Note: in Hebrew, the word Arab implies Palestinian ethnicity. Those who said they were 'Arab' meant they are Palestinians with Israeli citizenship. The others were Jewish Israelis from Mizrahi background. In Israel, that is how social/ethinic groups are defined. Why live here? The land was ours once and we dreamed of return for 2000 years. Plus Israel has been internationally recognized by most of the world since 1948. WRONG, Sameer. Copts invented hummus. Copts aren't Arab -- even Egypt's Arabs know Copts are Northwest Semites (related to Canaanites), not Southern Semites like Arabs are. But since you Arabs stole God & religion from Israelites (as well as colonizing them & Copts & everyone from India to Spain) -- and stole their language (when Arabs converted to modern Arabic, a CENTRAL Semitic dialect), arches, astronomy (go find "Atlit Yam"), agriculture, and *_Himyarite Arabs mass-converted to Judaism after 2 Jews saved the highest (Yemenite, most powerful) Arab king's life, these JEWS founded/created Madina (called "Yathribe" at the time), then Muhammad used a pretext to steal & ISlamize Madina, you even need to give Madina back to Israel._* You are CULTURE VULTURES, fake-Abrahamites; geneticists confirm you have no connection to Abraham... and You & Muhammad just MADE UP stories to relax the Himyarite-Jews, as they gave Muhammad shelter when he fled Madina's pagans (gee, wonder why Madina pagans needed to chase out The Snake Muhammad), then Muhammad The Snake stabbed in their backs of these Madina Himyarit Jews who gave him shelter..

    I think the anwser is actually this: there's no "jewish" hummus and no "muslim" hummus. There's just hummus, mashed up chikpeas. sometimes with more or less lime/citrus/tahina. Every restaurant and family has their own recepie and every person has their own tastebuds. And that's how it's supposed to be. It's not like there's any food in the WORLD where everyone makes it the exact same way everywhere.

      thats literally it. Palestinians get mad because Israelis like to market falafel and hummus as "Jewish-food" and an "Israeli culinary invention" in western markets. When it clearly isn't the case. It's just generic middle easter food and its literally bean paste. The Palestinians themselves don't claim falafel and hummus as Palestinian invention its just a regional food that most Israelis learned from the arabs to begin with which is why it pisses people off to see Ashkenazi call it a jewish invention its like you may as well claim the jews invented bread at this point.

    Middle Eastern Jews who lived in regions now ruled by Arabs are called Mizrachi Jews. Those Jews are not Arabs, and didn't 'steal' anything (the reverse is truer). Jews PRE-DATED Arabs in living in places such as Iraq (Babylon), Syria, Lebanon, Egypt & North African countries. There are presently 22 Arab-ruled states. Ethnic minorities (non-Arab) have lived for millennia in those lands, including indigenous peoples whose cultures were overrun by Arab conquerors. +Aaron Westwood +Jonah Karlen -- Arabs are NOT all defined as people from Arab-ruled countries. Middle Eastern Jews who lived in regions now ruled by Arabs are called Mizrachi Jews. Those Jews are not Arabs. Jews PRE-DATED Arabs in living in places such as Iraq (Babylon), Syria, Lebanon, Egypt & other North African countries. There are 22 Arab-ruled states. Ethnic minorities (non-Arab) live natively within those states, including indigenous peoples whose cultures were overrun by the Arabs who invaded those lands. These ethnic minorities include Berbers/Amazigh, Jews/Israelites, Assyrians, Chaldeans, Copts, Maronites, Yazidis, Kurds, etc. ...Arabs are people whose ethnic roots originate from the Arabian Peninsula (i.e., what used to be called Arabia). Like Jews, Arabs are Semites. But until 600-700 C.E., Arab rule was confined mainly to Arabia. Respectfully, you both need to learn your history & study the broad variety of other ethnic groups within the Middle East & North Africa, so that you don't lump distinct groups into one, inaccurately. Speaking Arabic does not make you an Arab anymore than speaking English means your ethnic ancestry is from England.

    • @JourneyBold
      @JourneyBold 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      +Aaron Westwood Jews are not Arabs. Jews/Israelites/Hebrews are an ethnic group of the Middle East. The Israeli Jews in this video are MIZRAHI JEWS & highlight the fact that Non-Arab ethnic groups include: Berbers/Amazigh, Jews/Israelites, Kurds, Assyrians, Chaldeans, Maronites, Copts, Yazidis, etc. ...Some commenters mistakenly equate Middle Easterners with 'Arabs'. Arabs are only one ethnic group-- a people originating from the Arabian Peninsula (i.e., Arabia). The Middle East & North Africa are presently Arab-ruled due to Arab invasion, settlement & imposition of their language onto all of these ethnic minorities whose presence PRE-DATED the Arab presence in all these conquered lands. But an Arab-ruled majority does not make Jews or other ethnic minorities Arab. Speaking Arabic does not make you Arab. Being indigenous to the Middle East makes you a Middle Easterner.

      +MrPickledede Nonsense. Jews in their vast majority were ethnically Israelites, "before Islam". Judaism does not proselytize for converts. Arabs were Arabs. Jews were Jews. *You* "cannot deny" the Jews' ethnic heritage as a distinct people. ...Arab hegemony has failed to subsume this ethnic minority, like it has succeeded in erasing so many other Middle East groups' distinctiveness. Non-Arab ethnic groups include: Berbers/Amazigh, Jews/Israelites, Kurds, Assyrians, Chaldeans, Maronites, Copts, Yazidis, etc.

      Then you deny the history of the Himyarite Empire which has been confirmed by Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Pagan, modern archeology, historians etc etc....I am a PHD historian...Judaism WAS a proselytizing religion before Christianity became dominant in the Roman empire..the Talmud attests to this (see the Onkelos, Shemaya and Avtalyon, Rabbi Akiva etc etc all converts during the era of mass Jews Proselytizing) and OUTLAWED Jewish proselytizing...which became a capital crime in the Christian And Muslim world...

For us, the Palestinians, the Israelis have stolen our land, and bit by bit they are stealing everything else, our culture, heritage and cuisine. They once claimed that the Palestinian traditional dress is Israeli and made the stewardesses of the israeli airline, El Al, wear it as their uniform to “preserve” their heritage. I am afraid that one day they will start saying that they have Palestinian accent.

Like why is this even a topic? Who stole what from who?? Can't we just acknowledge that we are enriched by the mixture of our cultures? Why can't we live together instead of working against one another?...but this definitely made me laugh and maybe we can learn to take some things more light-heartedly just by communicating and not taking us too seriously all the time....
