I'm loving this new wave of nuzlocke youtubers, these kinds of videos are amazing. So refreshing to see monolockes, very creative and I can tell a lot of time goes into them. Props man, keep it up!
I actually did this same challenge a month or two ago! I ended up losimg all my pokemon except rotom heat and pincurchin going into the Leon fight. Pincurchin soloed Leon's entire team! Don't underestimate it :)
Thanks! My quick review of the game is basically there's not much there in a casual playthrough but it gets more interesting if you make it a challenge. The competitive is the best it's ever been which is my personal part part of the game. If you buy through amazon, you can use my link in the description which would give my channel a commission. But no pressure with that, just giving you the option.
This video was so enjoyable to watch! I'm so glad to have found your channel, your content is entertaining so great job! I'll be looking forward for more challenge runs from you
Pokemon Sword, Ice type only. Not only is Ice type weak (and weak to three of the first 4 gyms) but theyre pretty limited, especially early game (I personally would say that trading one of the starters to get an ice type is fair game in this scenario as otherwise, you couldn't get any encounters until the wild area). So it would be a fairly tough challenge.
Ice types arent just limited in this game They are the least common pokemon type in all of pokemon, with only 51 different kinds (If I remember correctly)
@@ItsFireTiger 3 of 4. Ice is strong against Grass but is resisted by Water and Nessas Ace is part Rock type and has a rock move that it can hit you with while dynamaxed, Kabu resists and has SE stab moves for Ice and Bea is fighting so she is super effective. Going beyond that, The 6th gym leader in Sword is a Rock Type leader. So he'll also be able to hit Ice types for good damage. You're slightly better off against Raihan but even there he has decent coverage for Ice Types.
Hi, you should do this kind of challenge without Dynamax, it's still doable but it adds way more challenge. With well used dynamax, the game is just way to easy
That Togedemaru kept breaking out because it was level 41 while Doc was level 40. If the wild Pokémon is a higher level than what is currently on the field, its catch rate is significantly lowered. And if you’re gonna mention that Rotom wasn’t an issue to catch, then that was just you being lucky.
Nice, we both love the double battle against Raihan! I love doing double battles, my imagination really gets to go wild there and in my most recent challenge (fairy monotype) I loved just destroying trainers with Togekiss (had flamethrower) and Sylveon (had dig)
I just finished my first galar play through. I used only electric types too, so this is really interesting to watch! It was still pretty difficult. I also gave myself a rule the I can only dynamic when the opponent does which added spice
@@ItsFireTiger Hello, currently trying that as my first ever hardcore nuzlocke! The best strat is to stall out the oponnent's dynamax with protect (that you can buy literally at the start of the game). Milo and Nessa are easy, Kabu is decent because of his Gigantamax (and notebly strange AI). Real problems begin with Bea :'D Found this playtrough to take some notes because I keep whiting out to Gordie
@@caramelldansen7336 Yeah how you play is for you, if you wanna Dynamax or Gigantamax against other Dynamaxer or Gigantamaxer.l or not, its all about how you wanna play.
I don’t know if you knew this Andrew but the level cap rule means you need to be at that level before entering the gym challenge so at the Opal fight you could use Lizard and Kingpin
Given you are playing sw/sh, why not do a den only pokemon run? You can only capture 1-2 star dynamax pokemon, grab whatever random ones you get, and hope for the best
This would be IMPOSSIBLE as you cant get any dragon types till later game (so what is Andrew going to use for the trainer battles!) Sorry if this is a big bummer
You can use raids for your first encounter, then get apple mon after the first badge. I would also like to see it, as there will be an encounter scarcity at the start, but a possible encounter overload at the end
I did this except I didn't was a nuzlocks I only used Gen 8 Pokémon and I only used tms that match with the Pokémons type It still was preety challanging BTW well done
Since Eevee can learn Bite early on and Shadow Ball through TM, along with Rock Smash, Iron Tail, Dig. I know certain Eevolutions can get Signal Beam to help against Grass, Dark, and Psychic mons

No it doesn't cut body press' power. Body press is calculated from a pokemon's defense. I am not sure so please confirm it
Burn cuts the physical damage in half. So when I say it cuts attack in half, I guess that's technically wrong. So body press is weakened in this case
