What I love about the synthetic player mod is when you face Kellogg, the synths around who turns against you say “Destruction Of Fellow Synth Verified”
In Fallout 5 they should have you play through the story by faction instead of joining them in game. Like imagine starting out as a Raider, Vault Dweller, Synth, Brotherhood, Enclave, Railroad, Gunner, Caravan and many more. Imagine not starting life out in a vault every game, like you can choose what factions to ally or straight up take over your own faction you started from or destroy it. This would make the game feel more emersive for the factions and NPC's as a whole. Kinda like how New Vegas started out but instead of meeting factions and then deciding who to keep around and whatnot you actually choose which faction you start the story from.
i don't think its possible to make it good, would probably take 5 years development to get everything right at minimum, so i don't think they're going for this
I won't mind if they just literally redo Fallout 4's start but this time you do not start in a Vault but a cryo facility as a soldier in anchorage. Maybe your back story is like you are fighting in Alaska, you're wounded and then the bombs fell

A mod that you may have also seen that was redone is the 'Modular Infantry Energy Rifle (MIER)' as the 'Rheinmetall EG-7 Energiegewehr'. It replaces the Institute Lasers that the synths use with damaged versions of these but also some higher version Institute enemys use undamaged versions.

I think you missed the Rheinmetal rifle for Institute weapons mate. Absolute A+ energy weapon mod. I find it to be a must-have for Institute playthroughs. Very good video, by the way.
Imagine Fallout 5 with different playable races, Alien, Ghoul, Human ,Nightkin, Super Mutant, Synth etc and all would have their pros and cons. Like obviously you wouldn't be able to join certain factions but would have certain perks (example if you chose to be a ghoul then you couldn't join the BOS but ferals wouldn't attack you and you'd be resistant to radiation)
There is also a mod that allows the player to be a battle droid from Star Wars However, you can't use the pipboy while you are "wearing the suit", so I would favorite another outfit if you need to access the pipboy. Other than that one issue, it is a pretty cool mod
cross cybernetics and kellogs cybernetic implants (if you can find it) are also great mods for role playing as a cyborg. There are also a few perks in the mod 'Hot Diggity' such as 'cyborg' and 'bone breaker' that are thematic.

And the only way to prove you are or are not is to die, when she does she turns out to be human. Then there's father on his death bed do you believe for one moment that he would allow you to destroy the institute his life's work and not issue your shutdown code, or at anytime you became a threat to the institute. The only reason he gave you the shutdown code on his deathbed was he couldn't stop you because you weren't a synth. Please don't tell me you're that naive.

I thought a one point that the institute used the Cryo chambers to perfect their synth. I wondered if your character was a Synthetic they perfected and put you back the Cryo pod to check your effectiveness. You could have been a memory preset to see what a synth with certain memories to increase a certain effectiveness. The thing is you can really theories with any evidence

I feel that the game leaves it open to let you choose whether or not your character is a synth. I chose to be a human (Nate) pre-war warrant officer. I use SOL's Six Thousand Implants mod. Who doesn't like cybernetics. Then combine that with WIPAG, Crafting Framework, Tactical Distraction System and some weapon and armor mods.
I wish they had a mod with Nick valentinian whenever he finds Eddie winter. He finds him dead and finds himself as a goul who has already killed his enemy. After that, you can take him as a companion. After that he picks up on conversation with the time in-between the 200 years.
2 of the mods in your recommended kind of conflict, don't they (from a story perspective)? If you choose to start as a synth and Father regards you as one, how does it make any sense that all of a sudden you start referring to him as 'Son' when it comes to saving him? You should do a guide on a total mod compatible overhaul, because it started really interesting.
IKAROS is an android. Not a robot, not a cyborg, not a synth. You transfer your consciousness into the android's neural net processor, and off you go. Companion Ivy is a cyborg (human brain, spinal column, lungs, human skin). No NPC in the game sees your IKAROS as anything but a human sole survivor in the game. It might be possible to start an SKK game as an institute synth, and transform to IKAROS race, but then you aren't a synth anymore. Weird, right?

Not mentioned in the vid is there is an older robot guy avatar out there as well, so guys aren't entirely out of the idea too. I don't think there's any statlines and such regarding that.
Far Harbor made it clear that there was the "doubt" about whether or not the player is a synth, when there were no real "earliest memories" listed when you were questioned about it. Yet, in the Silver Shroud quest, you can talk about growing up listening to the Silver Shroud radio show, and remember the plots of various shows. The writing in Far Harbor is an example of the poor quality and lack of choice in much of Bethesda's recent writing. (Silver Shroud is the best FO4 quest, imo.)
The Lone Survivor is not a synth. Synths are immune to radiation. The Lone Survivor is not immune to radiation without augmentation (perks). This alone destroys the crackpot theory that the Lone Survivor is a synth. -Yours truly, common sense.
I read that terminal entry and came to the conclusion that although it make sense that I think rather that Father knew he was going defrost you to kill Kellogg because he says that it was no accident that you and Kellogg met and started a project to put inplants in you like the Institute did to Kellogg. But your character is a synth. You have V.A.T without a pipboy. V.A.T is only accessible via a Pipboy for humans but built into 3rd gen synths. Confirmed in game story via terminal in institute
The player is a synth wasnt really a secret, it is the only way the game time line makes sense. Also that gun is an M4, AR15s is the previous family before Colt aquired it.

Ikaros androids is a nice mod but setting it up is a fucking pain also there is a huge lack of armors. What compatible armors I found is mostly Vtaw armor conversions to Ikaros but each and every vtaw collection is immense. While Ikaros is around 2-3gb in size. The total size of the armor conversions can be around 8gb minim.
Pros of being a synth: big breast
Cons of being a human: lost son
the pros of being human: meat sack
This is why I usually play NV with Sons of Ares, or start as a human and turn into a cyborg/android later.

2 of the mods in your recommended kind of conflict, don't they (from a story perspective)? If you choose to start as a synth and Father regards you as one, how does it make any sense that all of a sudden you start referring to him as 'Son' when it comes to saving him?
You should do a guide on a total mod compatible overhaul, because it started really interesting.

IKAROS is an android. Not a robot, not a cyborg, not a synth. You transfer your consciousness into the android's neural net processor, and off you go. Companion Ivy is a cyborg (human brain, spinal column, lungs, human skin). No NPC in the game sees your IKAROS as anything but a human sole survivor in the game. It might be possible to start an SKK game as an institute synth, and transform to IKAROS race, but then you aren't a synth anymore. Weird, right?
You already play through the game as a synth, why do you think you can use vats in vault 111 before you get the pipboy?
That AER gun mod is also available as an AR15/M4(M16) ballistic weapon with he same options. I love it, it's one of the better gun mods IMO

Nice finds! I dig the more sci fi / pulp sci fi looks on those institute outfits. That synth start is tempting too, could really make sim settlements 2 runs or more raider focused runs more interesting.
Not mentioned in the vid is there is an older robot guy avatar out there as well, so guys aren't entirely out of the idea too. I don't think there's any statlines and such regarding that.

Far Harbor made it clear that there was the "doubt" about whether or not the player is a synth, when there were no real "earliest memories" listed when you were questioned about it. Yet, in the Silver Shroud quest, you can talk about growing up listening to the Silver Shroud radio show, and remember the plots of various shows. The writing in Far Harbor is an example of the poor quality and lack of choice in much of Bethesda's recent writing. (Silver Shroud is the best FO4 quest, imo.)
The Lone Survivor is not a synth. Synths are immune to radiation. The Lone Survivor is not immune to radiation without augmentation (perks). This alone destroys the crackpot theory that the Lone Survivor is a synth.

I read that terminal entry and came to the conclusion that although it make sense that I think rather that Father knew he was going defrost you to kill Kellogg because he says that it was no accident that you and Kellogg met and started a project to put inplants in you like the Institute did to Kellogg. Make's more sense to me

Anybody remember the Cyborg perk from Fallout 3? That would make for a good starting perk for a Synth player.

The player is not a synth here's 5 easy reasons how I know. #1, When you become a problem to the institute if you were a synth all they would have to do is issue a shutdown code and then reprogram you. #2, Father tells you synth's have no rights and are nothing more than property. #3, if you were a synth he would not under any circumstances give you control of the institute. #4, The ability for synth to operate above ground are well known and documented. With that being the case, why would he tell you the reason he released you from the vault, was to see how you would survive, unless you were human. And lastly #5, In the end why would he give you 10-year-old shawn to raise, a synth raising a synth I don't think so. as a mod fine, but believing p the sole survivor is a synth is deeply flawed.

Whenever I download and use the Ikraos mod, the pip-boy and UI are invisible and I cannot way to fix it
But your character is a synth. You have V.A.T without a pipboy. V.A.T is only accessible via a Pipboy for humans but built into 3rd gen synths. Confirmed in game story via terminal in institute
I noticed something weird in Fallout 4.
You can't vats til you past/grab the security baton... So you can't be a synth because of VATS...
Are there any clothing conversions for this? I found a few mods but nothing for vanilla clothes

The player is a synth wasnt really a secret, it is the only way the game time line makes sense. Also that gun is an M4, AR15s is the previous family before Colt aquired it.

Ikaros androids is a nice mod but setting it up is a fucking pain also there is a huge lack of armors. What compatible armors I found is mostly Vtaw armor conversions to Ikaros but each and every vtaw collection is immense. While Ikaros is around 2-3gb in size. The total size of the armor conversions can be around 8gb minim.
