One bike( the one with really bad bushings) was having stability issues. Felt a lot like a bad steering stem bearing where the bike would want to go into a tankslapper at speed. The head bearings were pretty new on this bike and no play up front. It ended up being the swingarm bushings causing it. I did the other bike too just because..... Its also something you can check from time to time, real easy if you jack the bike and see if there is any excessive movement in the swingarm from side to side.

by pressing in the smaller bushing you closed your grease path from the zert which is why its split

How many miles before your wore out like this?
I did both of my bikes. The worst of the two had about 8500 miles the other 17500 miles.
