- How Did Kaliyuga Begin?
As per Shrimad Bhagavad on the ninth day of the Mahabharata war between the Pandavas and the Kauravas, the third yuga which is the Dwapar Yuga had ended and the last yuga which is the Kali yuga had begun. However, because of the power of lord Krishna, Kali could not spread throughout the earth and was restricted to the battlefields and war grounds. Krishna's death was a major blow to Arjuna. His troubled state of mind took him to sage Vyasa. Muni Vyasa suggested that he renounce everything and move to the Himalayas. Abhimanyu and Uttara’s son Parikshit had also grown enough to take responsibility for the kingdom. Thus Yudhisthira decided to bring his 36 years of rule to an end and crowned king Parikshit as the emperor of the Kuru dynasty. After the departure of Shri Krishna, Kali started spreading evil in the minds of people. But Kali could not enter Parikshit's kingdom, as he was a kind ruler and a follower of Dharma. Once when king Parikshit was returning to his capital, he saw an ox standing with only one leg and a cow standing nearby gazing at him. They were talking to each other like human beings. The cow said to the ox that as long as Krishna was alive, all four of his legs representing penance, charity, purity and truth were safe; but now that three of your legs are broken, you can walk only on the strength of truth. With the onset of kali yuga, your fourth leg would also be broken. As they were conversing, Kali yuga came in the form of a Shudra and started beating the ox and the ox. The king, who was watching all this from a distance, could not bear to see this gruesome sight and immediately came to the rescue of the ox. The king assured both of them that he would kill kali yuga then and right there he raised his sword to do so. A trembling kali yuga started praying for his protection and fell at his feet.

But back in old days in school our teachers told us this story representing yhe king as bad (villian) why???
Btw it started on 2,238 BCE not 3,102 BCE and Mahabharata happened somewhere around 1,200 BCE-900 BCE
Don’t use Western history dates etc. Kali Yug can be changed and can end early.

No it is not fully explained here , the crown he wore were forcibly acquired by Duryodhana through violence . Gold acquired through illicit practice is the residing place of kali .

All the four activities that he pointed are distributing because those are the things that are making the dissatisfied souls survive. I judge and have a disappointed option on the activities he mentioned. It's injustice because not everyone shall have a privileged lifestyle and a mindset of his to survive without any of those.

He died in his human form
Mahavishnu took a Human avatar to balance the dharma. After completion of the Avatar the mortal body is returned to mother earth. Whenever evil rises on earth Bhumi devi (earth goddess) will request for intervention to Mahavishnu this taking Avatars on earth, Rama Krishna etc are few examples of Avatar took by Mahavishnu on earth.
What Arjuna is Incarnation of Nara himself and Nara and narayana performe leela...he already in salvation state...and people who think pandav did not get swarga... reality is they already attended swarga...yama and indra just testing dharam of yudhisthira by their maya (illusion) which is not reality...

It's all planned by the Lord himself about how to end the avatar. To be more specific, A hunter shot an arrow at Lord Krishna's feet and that becomes a reason for the death of Lord Krishna's mortal body.
Even Krishna can accrue karma in this Maya

I use to have some level of belief before in these stories, but after watching many of your channels videos I'm 100% convinced that these all stories are just comics of past people.. Everything is scripted to put an act.. Gods are powerful only when the act demands.. God he himself created Kali and prohibited other gods to destroy it so the drama happens and hero entry happens.. This sounds like a typical masala movie.

What a depressing story?
So God is foretelling there is nothing good in Kaliyuga, everyone will suffer especially good.
This leads to pessimistic way of life believing there is nothing good in future and evil will prevail.
I am from hindu religion and reading a lot about it in last 2-3 years.
But I feel this religion is outdated.
My friend, Hinduism can never be outdated. Our Upnishads (Vedanta) clearly tell us to be aware of our real nature which is Brahman itself, once realised, Satyug or Kaliyuga, joy or sorrow, misery or happiness doesn't make a difference. I would urge you to read "Who am I?" by Ramana Maharshi

What is written in the Upnishads about the ultimate reality is true for all of us, it will come to us when it is supposed to, when we are ready. Like you, neither am I a saint, just an explorer. Enlightenment is as much yours or mine to claim as it is any saint's. Realised souls face the same world as us, their response to it is different. Buddha once said about the story of 2 arrows of sorrow. The first is what the world throws at you and the second is your reaction to it. Buddha said that he could do nothing about the first arrow and everything about the second one. Dwell upon it friend.
