Educate, educate, educate, it may seem easier to say it than to actually do it...NZ has the resources, "the land and Sea" learn to live off them and take control of your health...the "GOVT" need to address this epidemic now!!!...the life expectancy is 60-69 not a good outcome for the next generations.
Someone in the family needs to be able to cook nutritious meals. Unfortunately most moms now work outside the home and nobody has the energy to cook after working all day.
It's ZERO coincidence the poorest areas have the highest goncentration of fast food and booze outlets. Those living in poverty, despair, struggle to get thru each day, and the temptations such as fast food, booze, of which many people use as a pick me up, are a go to. Not to mention, cheaper and easier. There needs to be a fat and sugar tax and to restrict the number of fast food outlets and booze outlets in communities
It just makes me angry. It's a disease of ignorance and lack of dietary and lifestyle awareness. Learn to cook! Walk and stop opting for a lifestyle of convenience and instant gratification

i love eating healthy, i just wish the government would make healthy food more affordable, the government should be held accountable for this.
