Thanks a lot! You just solved my problem. I was placing text I had converted from handwritten to typed text on my tablet before into my thesis and it looked weird. Didn't realize the letter spacing had automatically been set up to "expanded"😃 Now it finally looks normal👍🏻

Do you know how to do it on the word app on the ipad?
Great question! Unfortunately, I don't believe any of the mobile versions of Word offer a way to adjust spacing beyond line spacing.

I am sorry to hear about that. You may want to ensure your text isn't in the Justified alignment, which will cause a lot of extra space.
